I
had
booked
a
dinner
at
5:30pm
at
your
restaurant
(called
Oysters
on
the
Bay
-
NOT
Lime
Mexican),
for
26th
April.
Upon
arrival
the
restaurant
was
closed
and
we
were
advised
by
one
of
the
waitresses
that
the
restaurant
was
not
open
until
6pm.
I
provided
my
name
and
she
checked
the
books
and
advised
me
that
my
booking
had
been
made
for
the
27/04.
We
contemplated
finding
another
restaurant
however
ultimately
came
back
to
Oysters
on
the
Bay.
We
were
treated
courteously
and
allowed
in
however
no
food
orders
were
to
begin
being
made
until
6pm
onwards,
as
the
chef
was
not
as
yet
ready
to
begin
cooking.
Understandable
so
we
were
quite
comfortable
with
that
and
had
a
look
at
the
menu
and
ordered
drinks
for
the
time
being.
We
then
at
6
ordered
our
entrees
and
mains
and
specified
meal
requirements
ie
well
done
etc.
The
two
waitresses
on
the
floor
were
absolutely
lovely
and
polite.
However,
our
meals
were
very,
very
slow
to
come
out.
We
did
not
receive
our
first
lot
of
starters
until
close
to
7
-
Turkish
bread
with
dips.
That
was
fine
as
we
figured
the
food
would
begin
coming
out
rapidly
after
this.
We
received
the
rest
of
the
entrees
approximately
20
minutes
later,
then
at
7:30
we
received
the
mains.
Note
we
had
ordered
at
6.
We
were
then
told
there
was
only
one
chef
in
the
kitchen
hence
the
delay,
and
that
one
of
the
two
waitresses
had
to
step
in
to
help
in
the
kitchen.
At
this
point
there
were
five
others
groups
of
people
in
the
restaurant.
We
witnessed
3
seperate
diners
coming
up
and
enquiring
for
food,
and
others
simply
leaving.
The
children’s
meals
of
chicken
fillet
and
chips
with
fruit
and
salad
had
no
fruit,
chicken
was
cold
and
also
raw
on
some
plates.
A
main
meal
with
steak
arrived
and
it
was
medium
rare
rather
than
well
done
as
specified.
In
saying
this
though,
the
other
meals
such
as
the
seafood
basket,
squid,
linguine
etc
was
impeccable
and
divine
-
absolute
kudos
to
the
chef
when
he
had
barely
any
support
in
the
kitchen
to
make
these
delightfully
tasting
meals.
Upon
paying
our
bill
we
were
given
the
breads
as
complimentary
as
we
had
been
so
patient,
however
a
bill
of
nearly
$300
whilst
waiting
for
close
to
two
hours
in
a
restaurant
that
had
a
small
number
of
people
was
probably
not
justified
-
again
though
considering
the
lack
of
chefs
in
the
kitchen
this
is
reasonable.
We
decided
to
forego
dessert
for
the
evening
at
your
restaurant
as
we
were
concerned
we
would
wait
a
considerable
amount
of
time.
I
am
not
sure
what
happened
that
evening,
but
I
really
do
feel
the
chef
and
two
waitresses
for
a
large
restaurant
on
a
Friday
evening
is
not
enough
staff
and
most
of
our
issues
could
have
been
resolved
had
the
staffing
been
better
resourced.
As
mentioned
the
chef
and
waitresses
were
fantastic
towards
us,
and
I
do
understand
that
possibly
another
chef
had
become
unwell
or
some
waitresses
had
not
been
well,
or
something
more
serious
had
occurred
resulting
in
lack
of
staff.
If
I
could
rate
just
the
food
it
would
be
an
8
out
of
10.
Am
hoping
you
can
consider
this
feedback
to
better
improve
your
processes
and
ensure
your
staffing
levels
are
resources
accordingly.
