There are two metallic statues of Lord Vishnu on either side of the door connecting the outer and inner Mandapas, and two other statues of the Lord (made of stone) on either side of the door connecting the inner Mandapa with the sanctum. The sanctum houses the standing Murti of Lord Vishnu made of black stone. Sitting on the floor with folded hands on His right side is the Murti of Bhumi Devi, and on the left is the Murti of the sage Markendya. The temple tank is known as "Ahoratra Pushkarani" where salvation is granted if anyone takes bath during the day as well as at nights. This is a unique thing about this tank. Usually it is believed that salvation is granted if someone takes bath in the sacred tanks only during the day time. Also a temple pond exists here which has another story of a king who was punished by a saint to become a crow. After accidentally falling in this pond, crow becomes a king again. Direct bus facility is not available so local autos may be hired for coming here. Near by temples are Raaghu sthalam and prathyangira temple.

A special feature of the temple is that the food for neyvedyam (food offering) of the Lord is made without salt.
