Korean War Memorial

Tourist attraction β€’ Memorial park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This is one of my favorite places in Baltimore. You will get to know about the history of Korean war and the sacrifices made by the heroes. In addition to that, you will see the beautiful scenery by the water. You can come and just sit down by the water. It feels different. People often mention Korean, water, memorial,

The memorial is very understated. A low circular wall. Half the wall was composed of panels describing the Korean War. The second half is a listing of Marylanders who died. The paths leading to the memorial are lined with park benches with unobstructed views of the harbor.

This park is such a wonderful place to visit!! The setting near the water is a sanctuary away from the bustle of the surrounding neighborhoods! People walking their dogs, jogging, or taking their children for a stroll, and on pleasant days, enjoying a picnic in the shade of the trees; it's beautiful! You must visit the memorial, where they have enshrined the memory of Marylanders who gave their lives in service during the Korean War. It is so beautifully done!

It's a beautiful & pleasant area to walk or jog in. I enjoy being walking near water. One of my cousins name is on the Korean Memorial.

Beautiful location and nice memorial. In reviewing some old archived Sun articles from when it was created, however, I discovered that the artist did not put the border between North and South Korea - the line that many American and Korean veterans died to establish - in the right place. The Governor and his wife, a Korean woman, visited the memorial recently for a ceremony, and there is no way they didn't notice, which is just embarrassing. The city needs to correct this and move the border from the 38th parallel to the actual DMZ.

First Thursday concert. Beautiful view of the harbor, great food trucks (Ekiben!) and Monument beer. And music!

Part of Canton waterfront park and provide a good summary of Korean war timelines with story boards and map.

It's a great park. It overlooks the water. It's open and has trees that line that paths which is perfect for when you want the option of sitting under the shade and doing some open field activites. The memorial also has a very cool amphitheater effect that creates an echo when you stand in the middle of it. Highly recommend for a lovely sunny summer day. It's also great at night; it's lit well enough that you can play a game of uno, but not so bright that you can't enjoy the moon or that you can see the faces of ppl a few yards away. It creates an intimate enough setting.

Grass could be manicured a little better…. But other than that it was nice!
