This was the best experience we had during our time at kumarakom. We went kayaking early in the morning and we got to watch a dreamy sunrise amidst waterlilies in the middle of a lake close to heaven. The people at Canoe Kerala are so in love with what they are doing, that you will be glad you met them during your trip. They are wonderful human beings who don't just give you a tour but a wholesome experience. The place definitely has a charm you don't want to miss. They also offer a homestay, which is an authentic kerala style stay. Each and every detail of their place is crafted so creatively with passion. They also offer a collective experience where they show you around the locals of kumarakom, their lifestyles and livelihoods. Kumarakom has a serenity and calmness in itself and it will be great if you have people at Canoe Kerala who take you into their culture with so much hospitality. You definitely don't want to miss staying there or taking their tours. Highly recommendedrecommended!

Had a wonderful experience with Canoe Kerala. They accommodated us on a short notice even during peak December vacation. We reached the place at odd time of 5:30am but the owner and the host were so accommodative, gave us place to freshen up and took us for a sunrise shikara ride. The experience was breathtaking to say the least! Attaching few pics. Justin, the host, was very kind and fun person. He took time in taking photos of the whole group in different scenic places, took us through a great 3hr ride which included a local village tea experience. Would definitely Canoe Kerala, it is very reasonable/ affordable tour and a once in lifetime experience!

We had a pleasant stay at Canoe Kerala.It was the best experience staying there.Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by fresh juice with special recipe.Staff was extremely friendly.Home cooked prawns and biriyani were yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the vibe also. Words fall short to describe the amazing experience we had with kayaking...right from the moment we saw the sunset ,it was so excited with the magical painting on the sky. Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have.And we were blessed with an amazing sunrise☺️ More like our home than a homestay but very professionally managed…a big thumbs up to the entire team of Canoe Kerala. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again😍

We went for a sunrise cruise, the boat arrived at our airbnb on time. The driver was a really friendly man despite the language barrier he shoed us so many birds and water snakes. The ride was pleasant and we had fresh coconuts and bananas. Booking was hassle free and prices were reasonable. Would recommend.

Great experience! We were a group of 3 and rented a canoe ride around Vembanad lake and Meenachil river. Great for bird watching around 6-9am. Our driver was extremely helpful and breakfast was very well made, fresh and tasted amazing! Thank you for a wonderful experience! :)

There is a reason Sanu has all 5 star reviews. We are just back from some kayaking on the backwaters and we have had such a fun afternoon. We had to change our booking late notice as we were a bit tired and this was no problem. We were out on the water for 3 hours in the backwaters and then the lake. Sanu was so knowledgeable about local wildlife and was quite sure it would be a good sunset… and it was. Not only this he has a great sense of humour and fun as we were not good at kayaking! The dinner after was really special, prepared in front of us with some flavours we’ve not had before. We spend a lot of time on the water when we travel and this was one of those really relaxed lovely experiences you want again and again. Thank you Sanu!

Truly one of the best experiences I have had in Kerala- highly recommend a ride with them ! Would do this over again any day. I almost want to be selfish and keep this as a secret. I had the pleasure to meet Jes, Sanu, Ajeesh, and even Sanu’s mom and son briefly. Genuinely passionate group of people who truly cares and enjoys what they are doing. Jes made sure I was comfortable and ensured I had an authentic experience (even though I am Keralite myself). Felt like I was hanging out with my own friends rather than going on a tour. Experience was complete with mouthwatering and homemade dishes at their kitchen. A must do in Kerala, in my opinion

Truly unique experience. I’m from Kerala and booked this tour for my European friends who were visiting Kerala for the first time. We did the 6am - 9am tour and this honestly reminded me of my grandmothers village. So serene and beautiful to observe the locals starting their day. Our guide Suni was so great! He was very conversational and such great company. Highly recommend it!
