We reached here on a Friday morning 7 AM. The door is closed and people here states that the door opens most probably around 10 AM in the morning on Monday's and Friday's, also added that priest comes around 11-12AM. Only on Tuesday's and function/special days, door opens at 6 AM.

"I recently visited Othimalai Temple, and it was an incredible experience! The temple is located on a hilltop, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. The climb to the top involves 1770 steps, which may be challenging for some, but the reward is well worth it. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, and the intricate five-faced idol is a sight to behold. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple's ambiance is peaceful and serene. It's definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves temples or is interested in Indian culture. I particularly enjoyed the unique experience of climbing the steps, which added to the spiritual significance of the visit. It was also great to see the temple staff maintaining the area so well. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Othmalai Temple and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It's truly a gem that shouldn't be missed!"

Good place to visit but a bad priest. Had the worst experience after reaching the top. The priest will never treat others with respect. If you want to visit God you can go.

Othimalai — A famous historic temple of Lord Murugan — located in Bethikutai, Sirumugai. It is about 20Kms from Sathyamangalam. It is a small hill of 22000ft in height consisting of steep steps of about 1770 in its number. When you look at this hill from a long distance, you can observe the exact CONE SHAPE with a Circular base. The primary god is Lord Murugan. A perfect place for trekking and enjoying the chillness even during mid-day at the hilltop. A must-go place.

It was a great experience for us. You have to climb around 1800 steps to see our lord Muruga. Please carry your own steel water bottles. Don't litter and keep it clean.
