Those who love history, going to love the place. My only advice would be - do your research about the places before going to Perge. Go to Archeology Museum first! Find information on YouTube, Google and only then go to Perge! Otherwise is going to be just a historical remains.. once you know the history and stories behind it, this place turns magical and special. Nice weather for visiting places such as, must be! Not for the views only, but it can be dangerous at some parts where you walk, and you can’t rely on warning signs because there is none. Be careful if it’s wet! Beautiful area.

Wow! Absolutely fabulous. The history simply drips off of the walls. Make sure you take a guided tour to get the maximum value out of the visit. You could spend a full day here but give yourself a minimum of two hours. The ruins are very extensive and you get an excellent feel for how life was in ancient times. A must see!

The site is well preserved and many of the paths are paved which make it easier to walk. It's a huge site and could take a couple of hours to see completely. There are a couple of WCs on-site as well which were clean and modern. They have signage posted throughout the area which is helpful. There is a little map and guide book available for purchase in the gift shop which was also helpful. It's a great site. Not to be missed.

The place is very interesting and enormous. A lot of ruins, well preserved amphitheater. We spent about 90-120 minutes there. You can pay in EUR or credit card. Entrance fee: 100 TL. Take a bottle of water with you ;-)

After visiting 25 countries in the past three years, and visiting my share of cultural sites and ruins, this one truly stands out for its condition and size. The amphitheater is especially impressive and in great shape

A phenomenal bit of history still standing close to the tourist area of Lara. I got a bus nearby which although cheap, was a bit of a wait for connecting at a bench in the middle of nowhere. A taxi to Lara is about 160 lira each way (MAKE SURE ITS ON THE METER). I was stunned by what remains of the settlement. I'm a big fan of Roman ruins and have been to plenty, never to such an amazing state (I'd say even better than the forum of Rome). Nice little cafe/shop on-site and a few local stalls selling the usual novelties. Be sure to wear sunscreen.

It was amazing!! Went on a day tour with a guide so he explained all the history and it was really amazing to walk through everything. Just be weary about the time you go during the day in summer/spring as it was really hot and there is not a lot of shade.

Place that is definitely worth a visit. Entrance is 100TL per person and will allow you to visit both - amphitheater and antic city. If you are in a rush, I would definitely go to amphitheater than up the hill to the acropolis.

Amazing. For some reason my heart is still there. It was an amazing walk with great company. Although it was very hot, walking to the top was worth it. Great place to visit. Very spacious and poetic. Nice shops at the end for souvernirs.

We came visiting this ancient city in August. I really love Turkey and appreciate this ancient city. Some restoration and excavation were still happening when we were there. This place is huge and it got pretty hot at day (make sure you bring a hat and a lot of water).

Oh wow, move over Ephesus, amazing and no crowds. The site is mostly only recently dug with some fairly recent spectacular finds. The only pity is they did not make facsimiles of all the statues that are now in Antalya Museum. It would have been incredible! So much to see, it's easy walking across the entire site with just a bit of a rough climb up to the acropolis. Follow the path around to the right following the city walls, if the barrier is up follow the path round and you get a 360 of the entire site. The necropolis is still not excavated and you are not allowed near. A fantastic site and world class

Historical landmark near Aksu town. From tramway station you can walk about 40 minutes to there if you don't have car. There's no public transport to there but you can take a taxi. The entrance is 60 TL (price in June/2021). The staff there is very friendly and speak English.

Active archeological site where you can see the conservation and excavation process first hand! It’s extensive, incredibly beautiful, there are many informative boards if you want to learn more and great facilities including lovely shaded picnic area. Much recommended! At the time of entry we paid 90 lira each, which was very well spent.

A massive archeological site, rich history and empty of tourists that you see in Ephesus. Perge city was one of the most important Roman cities in the region. If you are visiting these places in the summer, totally recommend getting a parasol and thermos with cold water.

If you are interested in history and ancient Roman architecture, this is the place for you. A large stadium, shopping place, and monuments of Roman architecture are there. Keep a couple of hours for this. Use sunscreen and wear a cap in hot. You have restrooms and snacks / juice shops inside. Locals sell their products near the exit gate, which you can buy.

On drive of 45 minutes from our hotel in antalya lies this ancient city. The entry ticket is 200 TL per person, in which all the sites in the surrounding are included ( the theatre is on the other side of the road, so keep your ticket safe as to show for the entry to the theatre). It is a well-preserved city and quite big. In some places, they are still excavating. But ruins tell how glorious that city was. Amazing place. Though it was quite hot, if you go in summer like us, take your hats and water to keep yourself hydrated and safe from scorching heat.

A beautiful site. The theater is great as is the stadium. Well worth the stop. The stadium is 274 meters long and 34 meters wide - slowly being restored.

Perga is very well preserved in terms of architecture and historical representation. The stadium, columns and theater are very impressive. There aren’t full preserved buildings like in Ephesus and there is less history Panels so the audio tour is required. The price is worth the visit if you are in Antalya and it’s proximity just is a major positive point. Price are up to date in Turkish museum website. About 30 mins from city by bus. Go their end of the day or early to avoid the crowd. If you are lacking time and aren’t staying in Antalya, go Ephesus instead for the city spirit or Aspendos for the theater.

Totally amazing place could not believe how much of the old city remains today. This is must to see when in the Antalya area fascinating place with so much history and so near the city. It does get very warm and not much shade so best to get here early. We made are own way here so easy to get to and 250 tl to enter

Definitely worth visiting. Walking through the stadium which is one of the best preserved in the world I could imagine the chariot races and the noise of the crowd cheering.

Loved this place … it’s huge so take comfortable shoes and when sunny take water and a hat as you have lots and lots to see. Super interesting and the theatre which could host 12.000! People 🤯 Bonus: a ginger cutie which jumped on my lap and drooled all over me for happiness 🐱🐱😻😻

Awesome Experience! If you have been to the Antalya Museum I encourage you to visit the site. Well worth the time and money (60 TL)

Really fascinating to see how things worked 3000 years ago! I'm not much of a history buff but still found these things very amusing. A good part of the stadium and theatre are still standing. You realize how powerful our ancestors really were, even when they had nothing that we have today!

It is a really nice antic Ruine. Not as many people as in aspendos.

As I wandered through the ancient city of Perge, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the rich history and culture that surrounds me. The well-preserved ruins of the amphitheater, the stadium, and the baths all speak to a time long gone, yet they still stand as testament to the ingenuity and ingenuity of the people who once inhabited this city. The intricate stone carvings and mosaics are a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of the people who built this city, and it's hard not to feel a sense of pride in their legacy. Perge is truly an amazing place, and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to explore its ancient ruins and discover its rich history

History under your feet! I was fascinated d by theater, the ruins are so well preserved. The town was built thoughtfully and incredibly structured. I’ve got there by tram from the city center, it took me 30 min by tram and 15 min walking. Plan about 2-3 hours to see everything around.

It seems to have been a larger city than Ephesus. Ephesus was also a trading city, and although it was a city known worldwide, the relics of the old city of Perga are spectacular. Looking at the theater and the amphitheater, I discovered the magnificence of that era and the globalization of the commercial district.

Perge is an excellent preserved ancient city. The site is not so far away from Antalya. Entrance fee is 60 TL, free if you have the museum card. You can visit the amphitheater, stadium, agora, nymphaeum, basilica, and the amazing old baths. The site is huge, and you need approximately 3 hours to go around. If you are there don't miss going to the terrace, it a very long walk up between long grass and many many insects, but from there the balcony overlook the whole ancient city.

One of many archeological sites in the Antalya area. I very much enjoyed it and thought it was pretty well preserved compared to other sites I have been to. Visited on a tour with Solymos Travel which I would absolutely recommend. I think it is worth a visit.

If you like ancient Greek or Roman culture, and you're in Antalya - this place is recommended. Only 15km from Antalya city. Free parking available. Tickets for family around 12...13 euros. This territory is big, so prepare some 2 hours at least for this place. Perge is not so impressive as Pompey in Italy, but still worth to be visited.

Amazing area! The ticket costs 60 TRY and there are a lot to see. The visit will take around 2h. I really recommend it.

Great excavation work carried out to bring back the original stone buildings erected by the Romans. Even the drainage system has been kept intact. Quite a large site, and makes a big difference to actually visit the site to understand the scale of this place.

Amazing place, astounded at the size and the depth of this truly historic place. Standing the first ever reported stock exchange was quite something to reflect on.

Absolutely amazing if you love ruins and ancient history. The friezes, still in situ in the theatre are spectacular as is the floor mosaic elsewhere in the site. Huge bath complex, stadium, collonaded streets and more. I spent three hours on the place. Easy to get to on the tram if you don't mind a short walk from the stop to site.

Unbelievable! Turkey should be proud of the work they’ve started excavating this spectacular site.
