The Leaves Terrace Restaurant

Restaurant

😐 Recommended to us, we were sadly disappointed. The view is amazing, though the lack of shade in July was challenging even at 7.30pm. The prices are pretty extortionate by turkish standards. Starters were nice...calamari particularly, however we then waited an hour for main course and when it came it... People often mention restaurant, service, good, Kalkan, view, recommend,

Recommended to us, we were sadly disappointed. The view is amazing, though the lack of shade in July was challenging even at 7.30pm. The prices are pretty extortionate by turkish standards. Starters were nice...calamari particularly, however we then waited an hour for main course and when it came it was not good. Whiting fish tough and rubbery, jumbo prawns inedible and returned, cold chips and only 7 small chips on plate, unflavoured chewy beef, undressed salad etc. We quietly complained about the food and the waiters took the food away, then proceeded to ignore us. We tried numerous times to pay as felt very uncomfortable. When Bill arrived we were charged for all dishes...nearly 2.700tl. We asked for the prawns to be removed and reluctantly this was done....no other gesture was made re the other meals. On the way out an apology was made presumably by owner....but sadly damage done.We would not return or reccomend. Finally two in our party had sickness and diarrhoea through the night after returning.

Eckletic decor, average food, excellent service. Upscale pricing. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants in Turkey try to compensate for average quality food by providing excellent service / by being an excellent host. One of the most common side hustle they do here is when you sit down, they ask, if you want water even before you have a chance to look at the menu. When you say yes, they bring you the biggest bottle / highest priced one. When you ask for a smaller bottle, they say that's all they have. The food was served hot and with good presentation. The restaurant was clean. However, the taste was just average. --- Tourist from U.S.A.

Shocking. We made the reservation the night before and called at 18 before we left our villa just to confirm that the table was reserved for us. We arrived with our 11 month old to be turned away at the door.. Ridiculous service, they deserve to lose business with this type of service.

Appalling service. As a large group of10 people including a baby and a toddler, we called to reserve a table 24h in advance and again this evening to confirm the reservation. As we arrived at the restaurant we were rudely informed that our table had indeed not been reserved but given away at the last moment, with no effort to accommodate us despite our confirmation. We found ourselves and our children stranded and hungry due to this shameful establishment.

We’ve been coming to Kalkan for many years, but our first time here. We opted for a main each, I had the lamb shish, lovely succulent, tender meat. Too much, so we took a couple out for our local dogs. Great service, would highly recommend a visit here!

Very good restaurant! The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is very chic & relaxing, and the people working here are super nice! The food is delicious, you can taste some local specialties, or some international dishes, both very good and well presented. I will gladly come back if the occasion arise!

Definitely one to avoid! The food was like Childs portions. I had the chicken curry which was extremely bland and tiny. Room temperature when it arrived. Thinking about it I probably shouldn’t of eaten it! The prices are absurd. We spent £18 on 5 bottles of water. We were given top-ups in our tiny glasses then the bottle would disappear into the abyss from our table. In other words con merchants. When ordering a pint bottled Efes or Tuborg. They fill up a small half pint glass and then never bring the bottle along side yet charge you the going rate for a pint in kalkan. Overall, last nights tea cost roughly 30 pounds for no starters and around 2 or 3 drinks (not cocktails).

First time visiting The Leaves restaurant in Kalkan and I must say the experience was outstanding. Don't be put off by the entrance in the side alley as the food, presentation and service was amazing Excellent value for money. It's a must!

The best meal we have had in Kalkan. My steak was the best I’ve ever had. Phenomenal service and attention to my gluten free needs. Very much recommend.

One of the best places in Kalkan. Ground floor so creative decorated and so nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy the life on the street. For dinner I recommend the roof terrace. Together with the most tasty food (it's no joke) it's not possible to describe! It's not the cheapest place but it's it worth! For me as vegetarian it was also really good, because they don't have only this usual food about halloumi cheese and salad ;))

Lovely roof terrace with great views but pricing too high for the food quality and service and we felt a little crowded in. We had a good evening here but felt the salmon was over cooked and salty and the wine quality did not reflect the price. My sea bream was cooked beautifully though.

The best restaurant in Kalkan! This was the first restaurant that we took here and the last it has been after trying others. I cannot say any of them is bad, the quality is quite high in Kalkan but The Leaves terrace is something else among all. The starters, mezes from house and lavas were very nicely thought and delicious. Food quality is also high, we enjoyed all food and drinks we had here. The waiters are also extremely kind. I would recommend this restaurant without any single doubt.

👍👍 Fantastic setting, food, and service. The most imaginative and tasty fish dishes we’ve had in Turkey accompanied by well executed meze, topped off with complimentary Turkish coffee to end the meal. Bravo!

👍👍 OMG! Kabak tatlısı is the best I’ve ever had and I have had more than 50 different places all over Turkey… This is the one dessert I do eat… this one made my eyes roll in the back of my head! Took one to go!
