This charming guest house is extremely well-located (although requiring climbing steps) and gives the feeling of visiting relatives with their warm hospitality. It was my second time in Tana but this time I got the real "feel" of the town as compared to my stay in a hotel. the house has many authentic "treasures" of Malagasy furniture and the staff is very helpful in planning and organizing the sojourn in Madagascar.

Lovely BnB run by a friendly family with a great view out over the city from the roof terrace. Food was great and the room was was nice and spacious.

Le Karthala was our "home" while in Madagascar. We stayed the first and last 3 days of our month-long vacation at Le Karthala. The people working there is what made it so comfortable and enjoyable. They are friendly, nice, and so helpful. The hotel itself is pretty and has great amenities such as hot water and wi-fi. It was in a great location to walk around the city and we felt very safe during our stay. I look forward to visiting Le Karthala again when we return to Madagascar! xoxoxo
