Extremely inflated price which does not justify service or quality of rooms and food. Low quality restaurants on site - I was served gone-off food items on more than one occasion at breakfast. Service was also very poor as staff did not offer any alternative, fresh food once problems were brought to their attention. Our room was not well ventilated which resulted in a constant mouldy smell lingering on, even with window open. Lovely location and beach though.

The only thing worse than outrageous prices is not being allowed to pay them Tried to have dinner at their water front restaurant tonight. Showed up at 6pm, and the restaurant was completely empty. We approached the hostess and she asked for a room number. We explained we were not staying there, and she said she could not seat us. We confirmed with the concierge. She said they are at high occupancy so they won’t seat outsiders. We are on our yacht in Carlisle bay, and saw very few guests on the beach the last couple days, which was reflected in the deserted restaurant. Two stars because they were marginally polite about not wanting us on property. We went in because other reviews said they were friendly to visiting yachts. That was not the case for us. PS - in case you were wondering, we did not look scruffy. For example, I was in a Tory Burch dress and my good jewelry.

We have just got back from our wedding at Carlisle Bay, there are not enough superlatives to describe how spectacular this Hotel is. We had the dream wedding day and holiday/honeymoon. We had a small group of 11 people (varying in age from 7 months to us oldies) and absolutely every single detail was so carefully thought through, from the baby seat in the airport cars to meeting me off the sunset cruise the night before the wedding to pick up my wedding dress ready to be pressed for the following day. Nicky Sheard was our wedding planner and I could write a whole review just on how wonderful and special this man was right from our first contact and subsequent emails/zoom calls. Nicky made this wedding day beyond special, on the actual day he was Fantastic, taking care of every detail! I was not the easiest of brides (is there such a thing?) and was very particular on the type of wedding we had in mind and this experience exceeded our expectations in every way. A few special mentions to Tony in reception and Eve in the spa for the most incredible massage, but all the staff were wonderful. The hotel is set in a magnificent location, beautiful beach, free water sports, fabulous restaurants (highly recommend the all-inclusive option) and fantastic cocktails. We also made use of the free hotel guided hikes and tour of the hotel grounds, also highly recommended). We are already looking forward to going back for our anniversary.

This was one of the best trips I have ever had!!! We were there for my son's wedding and a little vacation. The resort was beautiful, the people so friendly, the food good, the views, gorgeous, the room amazing. The staff at the resort were absolutely the best. I do hope I get to go again

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Lovely welcome to the hotel and organisation of pick-up and fast track at the airport. Suites are large and spacious and have good amenities, but could use a little update. Restaurant staff were attentive and quick and so was the food. Food was overall at a good level. Beach is calm wonderful, and you can order food and drinks to your sun-beds, but you may have to find a member of staff. Overall worthy of 5 stars and LHW. Would recommend and would return without hesitation.

Hotel 2.5 Staff 5.5 Lisette greets you upon arrival at the airport and fast tracks you right through customs and you exit in five minutes. The resort organizes all your taxi’s and just it bills it to your room. Then I met Soland who is a very nice taxi driver who invited me and my partner to his mother, Cynthia James 70th birthday party. He apparently does very roofs, if you need a roof built. the staff at the Carlyle Bay were really nice. Breakfast smoothie is the best. The cover singer at the fire pit was not every good. The rooms were nice like 20 years ago and not updated since then. shout out to Marvin on the beach was the best water sports person he organized a jet ski or is and took us to see turtles on the bobbiecat thing. The hotel taxi driver Lava was probably the nicest person on the whole island took us to get warm butter cheese bread. Also eve at the spa was amazing she gave me the best body wrap in the entire world that was only 1/4 body wrap and a bunch of other things that were really fantastic. Barbado ferry is rough. Don’t do it unless you want a refugee experience.

Great family friendly resort. Beautiful beaches. Service was amazing. Food was delicious. Went around end of May - low season so the resort was at half capacity. Ask for bush tea /mangos for breakfast. You won’t be disappointed Amati, Akeem were both so very helpful. Thank you

Purchased a half-day pass, between two flights. Friendly personnel, somewhat limited facilities (at least one of the restaurants was closed). The lunch selection was nice, and the afternoon tea was with fewer options. Still, the spa did the job. All in all, nice way of spending several hours waiting for more-than-limited transport options to Montserrat.

Lovely calm beach, limited parking options and no bar/restaurant but some good snorkelling and a nice chilled vibe. The hotel here takes up most of the beach but there is plenty of sand to go around

Fantastic experience and very very attentive staff. Comparing to the service anywhere in Europe, it's like heaven (Antigua) and Earth. Absolutely delighted. Located at the end of a road, so cannot get out/ do much outside of the resort unless you get a car/taxi or an organised tour. Excellent throughout.

Our time at Carlisle Bay was absolutely superb. The beach and green rainforest mountains were sublime. The service and friendliness, attention to detail in the restaurant and general service of the hotel was amazing. The kids club with Phillip and Sonya was so much fun for my 8 year old! He made so many friends at the resort. The staff- especially Nakia, were all so supportive when our luggage was lost. Nakia was by my side- and helped tremendously. Tanisha and the other ladies- and Kevin the bellboy- were my team- they were there for me when my moral was low- no luggage for four days is no joke! The gift shop had some beautiful dresses and Carolyn and Linda made the shopping experience so fun- even though it was because we had no other clothes for those first four days. I bought some elegant dresses and we now own 6 Carlisle Bay T shirts- which are great quality. Magleen and Kate greeted us every morning at Indigo on the Beach with such a great sunny attitude. They made breakfast the perfect way to start our day. Len and the beach staff made the beach an especially nice place to be with their prompt and cheerful service. Along with the water sports staff, were were all on point- especially Jhemsey. The roads in Antigua are quite rough- in contrast to the lovely composure and manner of the Antiguan people. We could not drive there- but our taxi driver - Ronn- made our transport so easy. He was always on time- and cool even when we were running late. Very understanding and professional at all times. A great guy! I would recommend Carlisle Bay to everyone- we felt very lucky to stay there.

So we have just returned to the U.K. from Carlisle Bay . My wife had her birthday there .. The plan was to have a birthday meal on the beach however rain stopped that so they did a wonderful room balcony meal .. Me being a fussy person they made me a special meal . It was fantastic .. The hotel is fantastic. The beach is fantastic . The sea lovely and calm.. There are some downsides So I want to be totally transparent .. It is a family resort .. So despite being very quite whilst we were there I think c 40% occupancy you will have kids in the pool and kids being kids are noisy as they are having fun .. The food and drinks are very expensive as is the all inclusive package but you want paradise you have to pay for it .. We met the manager a really lovely guy .. He is very accommodating as are all his staff .. I imagine if very busy it will be a different resort as we had many sun loungers free on the beach however I guess when busy the there will be issues but I am sure the resort has plans in place for that .. It has 1 x pool Which is a decent size but if a lot of kids are I it be prepared for noise .. I was thinking of going back in jan 23 but having checked the prices 3 times more then what I paid I may give that a miss but my wife and I will return .. Again thank you Carlisle bay for making my wife’s birthday a lovely day ..

Level of service was superb, nothing was too much trouble for Shawn the concierge and a special mention for Karen at the Jetty restaurant. A big thank you to all the remaining staff who looked after us fantastically well .

An amazing hotel. We had a fabulous two-week holiday. The staff are so friendly and so accommodating. Staff take the time to know your name and try to say hello every day when they see you. The food in the restaurants is delicious, and a wide selection is offered. The kids club is excellent with activities such as - turtle watching, painting, Hobbie cat sailing, tennis, nature walks, movie nights, and bonfire nights. The tennis courts are decent. Some have recently been refurbished, and the others are looking to be done in 2023, they said. Two excellent tennis coaches had the majority of the day for lessons. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a great holiday in a friendly atmosphere. 5* easy!!!

We decided to treat ourselves for my birthday, and booked.a Day Pass. $156 per person. Fair price if it was a real 5* hotel, that’s what we thought. The true is that this place is barely a 4* hotel. Sad saying this. The location is amazing, nature is all around and the beach is breathtaking. Can’t say the same for the property itself and the services. The place is dated and the service lack of professionalism. Not attentive or knowledgeable at all. We couldn’t order a drink from the sun-bed, as no beach attendants could be found. When questioned at the bar, the answer we got was to ask at the beach attendant (hilarious). Beside the water sports not available due to the weather conditions there was nothing else to do. The food was mediocre, not what you except from a 5* hotel, and the service was even worse. Nice people don’t get me wrong, just not up to the level (they didn’t even know what Champagne is…). We also had an afternoon tea on the beach.. yes 2 dry sandwiches and 2 dry pastry.. When you pay a high rate you except high standards.as simple as that. We both work in a 5* properties, and I never left a review myself, but this time I had to. The photos, and the advertising are misleading, and that’s not fair! This is a pure feedback, not an offence!
