The Best of Books Bookshop is a bookshop located on St. Mary's street in the Capital City of St. John's Antigua. Located in the vicinity of Heritage Quay and the Cruise Port this bookstore is in within the hub of shopping activity in the city. There is an internet cafe and a good selections of books, magazines and periodicals. I am not sure that that particular vintage of structure was originally constructed for disabled access. The wooden structure is well maintained and done in an architectural style which is reminiscent of bygone eras. The customer service was good and the used (pre-owned) and heavily discounted books helped to make the shopping experience more memorable. The staff members were quite helpful and knowledgeable making for a more relaxed and fruitful visit. Best of Books Bookshop is one of a handful of such establishments in the city providing a much needed service for all in Antigua.

Excellent informed staff who can help you find what you are looking for. They will suggest alternatives if they don't have what you want, or they can arrange to get it for you.

I love this bookshop. Wonderful, smart collection of Caribbean literature and beyond for reasonable prices. They discount as much as humanly possible and have something for everyone, whether you're local or a tourist, adult or child. The kids' book section is also great! Staff were outstanding and had great chats with Glen in particular, about literature. Come support this great and special place!

Always helpful, even when they don't have the books you are looking for, they make suggestions as to where else you might find the book.

Its a small rustic book shop with a wide variety of books at reasonable prices. There are often sales that are too good to miss. Its good for browsing or getting something specific. If you need a little help or don't know what your looking for, Ask for Glen. He is so knowledgeable on every Genre. The bookstore also hosts open mike poetry night on select Saturday nights, so be sure to ask about it if you are into listening to to local talent or sharing some spoken word of your own.

I like to visit bookstore and support local authors. The staff here guided me to that section, described several local authors and I left satisfied. Very knowledgeable staff, friendly oasis of reality away from typical souvenir shops. I feel better buying a book written and printed in the islands, than buying a shot glass made in China.

Friendly staff, great service, lots of title options. There are other services as well, such as an internet cafe and printing service, book ordering, book readings for kids and summer activities, as well as an open mic night held once a month on the second Saturday.

Nice bookshop. Good kids section. Also have variety of local maps. Friendly services.

I walked here from my cruise ship, to buy a crossword puzzle for my father. the store had a crossword book in stock, at a reasonable price and the shopkeeper was very friendly and helpful.
