Galley Bay Beach is located in the Western Portion of the Island of Antigua in the vicinity of Landing Bay and within the Galley Bay. The Galley Bay Resort & Spa is associated with this Beach are they are both located in the Galley Bay. The Access to the Beach is via the aforementioned Resort and the fenced beach (well the Access via land, that is 😁 ) has many distinctive characteristics. The end close to the pedestrian entrance is rough and somewhat rocky. In the middle (The area mainly occupied by the Resort) is relatively calm and tranquil, whereas the other end is rocky with reefs. So at one end is surfing possibilities, in the middle so to speak is swimming and other watersports and the extreme end is ideal for snorkeling. The reasonably long white sandy beach is great for seascape. Landscape and sunset views. The Galley Bay Beach with the adjoining mini beach (separated by rocks) is an excellent place to visit and there is something or some spot for all beach lovers (and lovers, generally).

This is a great beach. They have tried to make it look private but almost All beaches in Antigua are public. Enter via the unlocked gate in the fence and walk a short gravel path to a pristine beach. Great for swimming, snorkelling etc. Snorkelling is good at both ends but the right hand side (as you face out to sea ) is best. For snorkelling be aware that the jet skis that come out of Deep Bay come illegally close to snorkellers on occasion (within 15m) as most of the riders are first timers, so a surface marker buoy is a useful safety precaution. There are occasional Moon Jellyfish which are pretty harmless and easy to avoid. Would be no worse than a stinging nettle even if you did brush up against the underside of the bell.

Take the road that bypasses the resort to get there and park on the side of the road. Enter through a gate (see photo) and you will find yourself walking through parts of the resort to get to the beachfront. The beach had a nice sunset view, but I can see it getting crowded since it is right by the resort.

Very Long and quiete beach (crowd wise). A bit of strong currents making hard to swim . Entrance to the beach is through small gate.

Very quiet secluded beach with crystal clear water despite the sea being quite choppy due to the constant wind blowing from East. Many seashells and broken corals on the beach so that children can go treasure hunting and keep busy for a few hours. Very recommended to those who don’t like the crowd at Dickenson Bay.

The day I visited, red flag was up which means no swimming due to strong wave . We found street parking and accessed the beach via the gate

Went here to snorkel and was not disappointed! Loved it! Nice snorkeling right off the beach (which you can access through an unlocked gate on the right end as you're facing the ocean)

Absolutely stunning beach! Very quiet, not too many people there. Great for snorkelling or swimming or just for a stroll on the beach! Very sandy, there are quite a few big rocks too, but mostly sand, sea and sun! The water looks beautiful and it’s quite warm! Amazing place to watch the sunset too!

A bit of a hidden gem. If you’re not staying at the resort then access is through a gate on the far right of the resort just on the uphill bend. Beautiful beach with a good snorkelling reef right off the beach

As others have said, the resort have done their best to make the beach look private but enter through the unlocked gate in the fence and enjoy a spotlessly clean and beautiful beach. There is some of the best snorkelling in Antigua on the reefs at either end of the beach and plenty of sandy areas in the middle to swim. A point of interest is Giorgio Armani’s house at the north end.

I cannot imagine a honeymoon anywhere else. The room, the setting in general, the beach, the ocean, the bars were fantastic. I am not kidding when I say it is the best food I have ever had - and it was all-inclusive at that! Being from America, I have come to expect poor customer service when dining, etc. But here, everyone had a smile, remembered our names, brought us everything we needed promptly and ensured we had a great experience. I would 100% return to this amazing place, and highly recommend it to any couple. One tour guide told us, the thing about Galley Bay Resort is that even when it is at capacity, it feels relatively empty - this is so true - we were not crowded and never felt like it wasn't "our resort" I also recommend Bo Tours - Rogers was incredibly welcoming and made us feel both excited and safe to be there. Go ahead and book your reservation.

Galley Bay beach is a great beach. A little bit difficult to get to on foot but easy on a Kayak. Lots of wild goats on the trail over the rocks at the far end of the beach!
