When you start your meal with a simple request for bread and you get the most delicious flavoursome bread I’ve tasted in a long time ,including a brioche bun oozing with a cheese sauce filling … you just know your in for a stellar meal . Stunning food ,fresh and cooked to perfection . A great restaurant that we shall certainly revisit again . Hats off to to a great team !

NEWSFLASH! Wine and Brine is still the best restaurant in NI by a country mile. I've been about 10 times now and it still impresses me every time.

We had an absolutely delicious lunch today. The food was prepared to perfection. The team looking after front of house were so friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to a return visit in a couple of weeks. I know where my birthday lunch is going to be.

Probably the best value fine dining experience in the whole of Northern Ireland. At £30 for 3 courses with it's lunch and early evening menu, there is no skimping on getting bang for your buck! My only criticism would be that I always treat myself to a hors d'oeuvre and, whilst the menu gets changed the hors d'oeuvre don't!

This was my first visit to the restaurant and I was certainly impressed with the delightful atmosphere and memorable taste of flavours in each of the dishes served up.I have been recovering from illness during the visit and therefore my appetite wasn't able to fully appreciate the beautiful dishes set before me.Fortunately my life long friend Martin compensated for this visit by virtually licking his plates. When my health improves I will be be making a bee line back here. The staff were superb and explained the contents of the menu with great passion and detail and are to be commended. The restaurant had an informal aura and showed no signs of pretentious which is a breath of fresh air. This restaurant doesn't need a Michelin Star,it's fine as it stands and long may it continue.

A beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Lovely staff that was friendly and attentive. Will be back again to try their set menu. We went at 7pm on a Thursday evening, the rush was just ending and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere that gave us space.

Had a meal in wine and Brine last night. The food was amazing absolutely delicious. The staff and service was 1st class. Attended to our needs 100%. The decor and seated area was beautifully presented and well spaced out. We will certainly be back and would recommend it to to everyone. Thankyou Wine and Brine 👏👏

Both stars for for the starter and the decor only. Everything else was well below expectations. I just dont understand why people rave about this place. I guess it’s just reputation and people wanting to believe it’s good. Staff looked very unhappy, didn’t finish my food and didn’t bother orders mr a desert, if you knew me you’d know it would have to be bad for that. Won’t bother going back. Fancy looking and sounding food with terrible flavours. Really should be one star.

We had Sunday Lunch here and it was nothing short of sublime. In every respect a truly delightful dining experience. The food was beautifully prepared and the presentation executed to a very high standard. The portions are perfect, striking that balance between culinary excellence and high end dining with the need to be sated. What makes this establishment 5 star for me is the service. A member of staff named Fiona mainly attended to or needs. She was mindful of our needs without being overbearing and easily chatted away at appropriate moments in a warm, friendly and genuine way. For 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 9, 3 courses, drinks and amazing Latte's came to £120. We will be back soon!

Great menu choice, and superb people and personalities serving. A few issues along the way though, white wine 2nd bottle not put in a cooler, had to ask twice before it got chilled, the portions of veg for 4 looked the same size as if for 2 people ? The overall speed of service was exceptionally slow, we sat down at approx. 14.35 without a break, we finished eating at 17.20, so almost 3 hours for 3 courses, with wine. Will think twice before returning, especially at this price point and expectation. As I said at the beginning, it's the great people that make this place.

Had options from the set menu at a working dinner. The salmon starter was terrific and presented daintily with sesame seed tuile pieces. My lamb main was cooked perfectly and the sauce and sides complimented the dish exceptionally. Lemon meringue for dessert rounded off a great meal. I was driving, so couldn't sample their drinks list, except for their post-dessert coffee, which was tasty. Their upstairs suite catered to the work bit of the evening well. Service very attentive.

The best meal I've eaten. Imaginative without being showy. Great wine at a reasonable price, and good service - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. A Michelin star can't be too distant. Can food be better than this?

I had been looking forward to trying this place for sometime as I'd heard great things about it and of course because it has a Michelin star. The menu looked interesting and I read it online before I went. Once arrived, I realised it wasn't exactly the same but that isn't unusual in restaurants because of sourcing ingredients. My starter was a stuffed courgette flower containing crab, scattered with fresh shrimp with a lobster bisque and edible flowers on top. It certainly looked the part. The taste was something else entirely. The filling inside was definitely missing something to make it memorable. Very bland. I enjoyed the bisque but the shrimp were not good at all. They gave a sort of bitter taste to the whole dish. For mains I ordered monkfish with a tandori sauce and cucumber raita on top. And the flowers once again. Presentation was good. The fish was cooked really nicely. My problem was with the over seasoning of it all. I've never been served a dish as salty as that anywhere ever. And I've eaten salt baked cod before in Turkey. I tried my best to eat it, not wanting to make a fuss since they seemed busy. On reflection, I should have just said something. At the end I was asked how everything was since I'd eaten less than half. I explained. The waitress was polite and said I could have had the meal recooked if I'd said at the start. She went to speak to the chef and management and the dish was removed from the bill. All in all a mixed bag. Good customer service, nice building, nice wine but sadly the food disappointed - and on my birthday too. I will be back though, trying something different this time and if anything is amiss I will remember that they encourage you to speak up.

Not bad! Came here for a meal with 6 others and really enjoyed it. Food was good, and the staff were lovely. Compared to a lot of other restaurants like this I wasn't hungry afterwards! Only main complaint was the food did take a while to arrive, but considering the amount of time it takes to prepare dishes of this calibre I can forgive that

My wife and her friends were in a few weeks ago and all three of them got food poisoned and the reason they haven't put a review is out of generosity but I feel like the public should be aware of such a serious matter from a "Michelin star chef" And if I could give a 0 star I would.

  • 5/5 Paul G. 1 year ago on Google
Superlative. Every course a gem. And the affordable lunch menu made it a steal. One of us had an a la carte starter that was beyond incredible, so I imagine the full dinner menu is beyond good.

First time here. Felt totally pampered from start to finish. Food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Hubby is gluten free and it was nice to go somewhere where colieacs weren't just an after thought. We will definitely be back. A really special evening.

Lovely experience. Visited as a party of 4. One dairy intolerant, two veggies and one with a nut allergy. Resturant was very accommodating to our needs and adapted a dish to meet my nut allergy. Food was well presented, but more importantly delicious. Portions were small, but surprisingly filling. Food was amazing and I've never ate such high quality food for such a reasonable price. When I'm next back in Moira I will definitely visit again. I actually can't wait to come back!! Really happy to see they change thier menu frequency so I know I'll enjoy a new menu item on my next visit.

Menu is amazing....I wanted to order everything. We were a group of four & all chose different main courses & desserts. Everyone raved about the food. Staff were very attentive & friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant & we were under no pressure to rush. Can't wait to return. Always a pleasure to eat here. It's definitely my favourite place to eat.

  • 2/5 Dan D. 4 years ago on Google
I ordered the steak pie... When I arrived I had to clarify with the waitress that this dish was actually a main course, very meagre portion. The 'pie' was literally about 3 bites. Don't get me wrong, it tasted very nice, but it kind of defeats the purpose of going out for dinner if you're still hungry when you leave...

We were so looking forward to our meal in Wine and Brine as we had been before and had enjoyed it. On entering we were quite surprised to see waitresses with no masks on and very little social distancing going on as we had experienced in other restaurants since their reopening. I ordered the lemon sole as it is a beautiful fish. However I found that the thickest part of the fish was raw and translucent, not white and opaque like the thinner part. I could not eat it. I politely informed the waitress but heard nothing further from management or chef. We ordered dessert which was good as was the starter. When we were paying our bill we reiterated again that the fish had been raw. Incredibly we were told that the chef was happy with the cooking of it. Now this smacks to me of unbelieveable arrogance on his part with no sense of accountability or offered explanation, which was all we wanted. We left feeling massively underwhelmed with this level of service from an alleged quality restaurant. We will not be back or be recommending it to any of our friends and family.

Wine and Brine delivered lunches and desserts to the Belfast City Hospital, Endoscopy Unit today. I just want to thank them for their generosity, it was so kind. The food was amazing and the dessert, well we all ate it slowly because we didn't want it to finish. I will definitely be taking a trip to this restaurant when it opens again. Thank you so much. Went to this restaurant after some friends recommended it. they requested we order in advance a few days prior, as the party was due to be 8 people. Which was a bit over the top, but ok. The morning of the dinner 1 of our party fell ill and was unable to attend with their partner. Who had to stay home and look after their kids. We let the restaraunt know early that morning that it would be a party of 6 Instead of 8 to keep them informed. The remaining 6 attended the meal that night, however when we paid, we found they had still charged us full price meals for the 2 people who couldnt attend. After making so much money from our party you would think they wouldnt have tacked this on. Disappointed that the terms and conditions require us to pay full price for people who couldnt attend. Especially when it was them that mandated we order in advance and we had let them know early that morning. Wont be back.
