After reading all the wonderful reviews, we tried to dine here on the night we arrived in Lovina, but it was so packed we were turned away. We got in early tonight, and now we can see why it gets so busy! The atmosphere was lovely, the service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal. We ordered the vegetable masala and lentil curry dishes, which both came with rice & naan. The masala was a beautiful mild curry that was extra rich and creamy. The dhal was full of flavour with a nice little spicy kick. My favourite was the chargrilled tempeh with satay sauce - incredible texture and flavour 20/10! I also tried a lemon & ginger juice, which was super refreshing. The serving sizes were VERY generous (we struggled to finish them), the prices were great value, and the service was fabulous. Staff were all super friendly and professional. We also got to stock up on goodies from the little gift store area. I can highly recommend the papaya & aloe vera body lotion. It smells divine and absorbs super quickly. We will be back again before we leave for sure. This is an amazing place supporting an amazing cause.

THIS IS THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ! We just had the nicest restaurant experience on Bali so far. The food is incredible, super affordable and super healthy. We had the Vegetable Curry, a Falafel Wrap and Satay Tempe. Since the Global Village Kafe is a non-profit foundation, the prices were extremely affordable, and the serving sizes were very big for Balinese standards. One of the things we liked best about tonight were the lovely employees working here - everyone was super attentive and nice. By only employing disabled people (deafness), the owner is trying to support the Balinese disabled community (hero of the day). Accordingly, you will be required to order food by pointing at the menu. The only reason this place is not rated 5* on Google is because of people complaining about the lack of AC, or similar illogical reasons. Please, do yourself a favour and visit this amazing place if you’re staying close to Lovina.

This is a place with a soul indeed! Atmosphere is relaxing, staff is extremely friendly and open, food is high quality! This cafe has a clear mission as well: it employs deaf people and contributes to various organizations supporting disabled people around the globe. Stop by, get a bite and enjoy the atmosphere! Please keep in mind that most of the personnel there is deaf, so be prepared to explain yourself with signs and typing in the phone!

My bf and I had a great dinner at this cafe in Lovina. Great vibe with amazing staff and lovely jazz music 🎶 The food is very good and tasty. I recommend the sweet potato vegetarian curry and the chocolate milkshake. We finished our dinner with proper ginger tea. We definitely recommend this place if you are travelling in the North of Bali. The Global Village Foundation Kafe is a 'NOT FOR PROFIT' Social Project. They strive to promote the training & employment of persons living with disabilities in North Bali. They work with hearing impaired Waiters, Waitresses, & Kitchen personnel. It was awesome to learn some sign language and help give some money to the project.

If I could give this kafe 7 star I would give it so. Not only the foods was amazing, the hospitality were also top notch, not to mention the price are also reasonable too. This kafe managed by non-profit organization for disabled people, means if you eat here you not only get the experience of eating good foods but also indirectly show your support toward disabled people and gave them purpose and smile.

It is a hiding cafe, with good food and drinks, cool musics and cozy atmosphere. The staffs are helpful and nice. You can buy some local products and art and craft stuffs here, donate to support local. I love their Carbonara! Their lassy drinks and kopi tubruk are also good. Must visit when you are in Lovina area

I love the atmosphere from this place, it's beautiful, filled with ornaments and artsy stuffs which they also sell it, and they also have nice playlist, playing ethnic music from different countries. For the food, I like their Tandoori Chicken. Such a great experience coming here! -Jun 2023

Everything about this place is great. A great cause, terrific staff and delicious food. The only place you MUST go to in lovina. They also do fantastic coffee during the day. We had Tikka and a veggie curry. The naan is top notch aswell. We will be back for sure! Also a great place to pick up some nick nack gifts rather than buying them on the beach. The money here feels like it's really making a difference. No service charge so feel free to leave a tip

This is the most amazing place. If you're in town its a must. Super delicious food and super nice and attentive staff. I went there 3 out of 5 days I spend in Lovina. One day even for lunch and dinner. My favourites are the Thai curries.

Great not for profit cafe assisting to educate and house very poor families and children. Great fresh organic food and juices. Good coffee and cold beer. Buy a T-Shirt and some hand made things and support a great cause.

I came here because of the positive reviews and the photos looked interesting. Was only after arriving I learnt about the NFP/social cause nature. As someone who works in disability support I wholeheartedly support this venture. But even if you don't, let me assure you the food and drinks are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. So if you want a good, cheap meal with excellent service in a lovely atmosphere then look no further and as an added bonus you're helping a good cause.

Fish and chips (has a salad on the side which is good for fried foods) & massaman curry are good. Very nice staffs too. Had a great meal!

What a great concept. This restaurant aims to need people who suffer from impairment or disabilities or don't have access to minimal needs such as housing, health care, sanitation, education, etc. We ordered some vegetable pakhoras, an Indian falafel wrap, and a nasi goreng vegetarian. Everything was a success. However, the wrap could have had more sauce.

One word: Amazing!!! We had an amazing experience in ‘The Global Village’. The staff are all super friendly. Nothing is too much and their smile and kindness made our evening complete. From the beginning until the end we had such a great time. The food is so good. Everything is freshly made. The flavours are amazing. The restaurant itself is very cosy. A lot of color, unique art of inspirational people around the world. They sell unique and selfmade gifts in their restaurant if you want to bring back a souvenir. I would recommend it to everyone! Please don’t search further… just go! You will definitely not regret it. So overall: great value and definitely worth it!

Amazing restaurant! The best music playing, super good food and great service! We had the vegetable tikka massala and it was rich with flavour and full of veggies, delicious! Highly recommend this place! The Mango Juice and Mango Milkshake are also super good!

Menu with great food choices from Asian (local food), Indian (masala) to Western (pizza). Tikka Masala had a great taste and is served with garlic naan. Pizza had a thin crust and lots of vegetables. Staff is super welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The 'Not for Profit’ Kafe/Diner donates profits to the Global Village Foundation. Have a delicious dinner there and do something good. Love it!

The food here was delicious. Staff are hearing impaired and very friendly. Ordering is very easy and they have so many great gifts to buy. Also makes you feel good to know you are helping a great cause. Oh and the coffee.... As a melbournian I am fussy. But this was so well made. Could not fault it.

Absolutely wonderful just a great experience and the food was just so good. The interior is very nice with lots of really cool things to buy If you are in Lovina this place is a must for great food and great surroundings just remember the staff cannot hear you. Great place

One of my favourite places in Bali. Superb food. A rich, varied menu, all at good prices. Efficient, friendly service. And it's not for profit and supports poor communities across North and East Bali. A must for any visitor to Lovina.

Amazing amazing amazing! We came two nights in a row and food was AMAZING! Its great to see that there is a place that wants to integrate everyone into a possibility to make living, even if that person is less fortunate with abilities. I dont know how they figured out those dishes until perfection, but they did, and we enjoyed everything

From the outside you would never stop in, but definitely worth a stop. Large menu selection and drink menu. Avoid the fish and chips...was more like fish fingers (very very fried). My wife has the chicken satay, which looked and tasted great. And, the happy hour included wife!

Great initiative! The restaurant donates all of their profits to improve the life of the poorest Balinese people. The food and staff are all 5 stars! The Indian curry was one of the best I ever had, and all very affordable. If you’re in Lovina, I highly recommend going here. All the best to the people from Global Village!

Delicious food, reasonable prices, and good cause. There is also a mini shop that has some nice souvenirs for sale.

Recommend this special place! They serve a good cause by employing the most kind hearing impaired people (so you order your dishes by pointing at the menu) and also donate the money to other good causes like providing wheelchairs to children! The food is delicious and the restaurant very nicely decorated.

Such a genuinely inspiring cafe serving food with great intention. Some of the staff had hearing difficulties which is mentioned in their menu, but this didn’t stop them presenting excellent hospitality skills! The food was delicious and a very reasonable price. I felt very humbled when being here and love the aspect of being a non profit organisation.

Very nice restaurant with lots of food options (also veggie) to affordable prices and nice staff. Had amazing mango lassis there. It’s non-profit. Definitely recommend :)

The atmosphere is really nice. The waiters are courteous. We had a vegan curry and a chicken dish. Both were very good and made us full. The tropical smoothies were also great. The concept of this non profit is honorable and we gladly paid a bigger tip than usual. We would come back anytime. Thank you for having us.

Great restaurant for a good cause! The beef rendang was my favourite meal in Bali and they even made it not spicy for me. So delicious! Really recommend this place! We even came back a second time here.

This is a goed place to eat or drink in this area, the menu as a lot of variations; we (family with 2 kids) tried different courses and all of them where goed. Staff friendly an de prices are fair. Important to know, this is part of a charity organisation.

Had an amazing evening there. Atmosphere was fantastic and food was insanely good. A lot of vegetarian options. They offer a great variety of food such as pizza, pasta, indian, indonesian and a lot more. Great coffee as well. Very friendly english speaking staff. We love their approach that they donate to a fund helping the poor and helpless in the north bali region. Their recent project seems to be providing wheel chairs to the disabled. The best food in Lovina with support for an awesome cause. I reccommend everyone to go there and try it.

Awesome cafe! Wish we had found it sooner. The food is amazing and well priced. Very extensive menu but the best thing is they are a charity that is run non for profit. They look after the disabled and disadvantaged in Bali. And are the largest distributor of free wheel chairs in Bali. Must visit if in Lovina or North Bali.

The food is just perfect, as well as a service and atmosphere! Tried mango lassie, and it’s just delicious!! Aussie burger is also very good, and I enjoyed it a lot! Their salads a huge, and can be a meal in itself. Will definitely return!

Amazing food, amazing place, staff are angels. It's a fantastic charity and the atmosphere and vibe of the place feels life affirming.... but even better than that, the food is absolutely first class at a cheap price... some of the finest food had in Bali... or Asia as a whole!! What more can you ask for???
