Some issues with many room. *Electricity problems. *A/C not working *Swimming pool too durty and more chlorine hurt my eyes. *communication issues (we are speaking sinhala but them stay like owls 🦉🤐.) Location is okay. But staff and room cleaning is so bad. Because we book whole resort but they didn't arrange all rooms. After that we arrived they are trying to fixing every faults like we came unexpectedly. ●○●Finally I wanna say If any one interested about this place don't stay your loved ones with uncomfortable place●○● Thanks Margosa Lake Resort. What u give for make our day bad.

Good Service, but the room called Yala should be updated a little bit more

Worst experience. Hot water wasn't working A/C was not enough. The pool wasn't clean. Dont go to this hotel.

The hotel is quite nice, but.. From our room was stolen a substantial amount of money (cash only). I strongly hope this was not organised and only an individual´s failure, maybe not even from hotel staff. Once discovered, we reported everyhing to the police. Even though everything else was all right, this incident caused a major downturn of the overall sri lanka experience. Therefore I cannot give better evaluation, this shall never happen.

Margosa Lake Resort is best Hotel in Anuradhapura District. Very Humble and talented staff serve our all needs and there are very experience cheaf for making delicious plates as per your request. Can enjoy with swimming pool and best place to reading Books. Located near to Nuwarawewa and you can walk to Nuwara wewa.

We had our buffet lunch at Margosa. It was one of the best we ever had - great variety, authentic Sri Lankan dishes, very friendly and helpful staff and pocket friendly too.

The location is very beautiful near the Nuwara Wewa Lake. It is quiet and peaceful. There is also a swimming pool which was very welcome to relax after sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The high quality beds are extremely comfortable. The staff is kind, friendly and very helpful. We spent a wonderful time there and hopefully we will return.

It's a mixed feeling. We booked the room called “Minneriya” for one night, BB basis. There are few things that can be better. The bad 1. Wi-Fi - the main building has Wi-Fi but not the expensive rooms like what we stayed. When I asked, they fixed a router close to our room but in few mins, they took it back. Right middle of when I'm at a meeting. 2. No generator—when there's a load shedding, you are out of options as they don't have a backup option. 3. AC is too loud – the air conditioner is far too loud, so you rather keep it turned off than using it. 4. It's not a negative point, but I think the food can be better. As we were not to concern about the food, that's fine. 5. Pool had too much of chlorine in the water, even you can smell chlorine after hours on your skin. The good 1. Rooms are very spacious and moderately clean. Not spotless, but one step below the medal of spotless. 2. As the AC is turned off, night is quiet and comfy. 3. The beds are large and comfortable. 4. Access to the property is easy 5. Staff is good and effective

We paid 50$ for a triple room. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were very good. There is a small outdoor pool that the kids enjoyed very much. The only downside was that the maintenance level is quite low. The hot water seemed not to work (not that you need one in that weather) and there were ants in the shower.

We stayed here half board. The Sri Lankan food was absolutely amazing. I asked for local vegetables with my rice and I must say I have never seen so many different vegetable at one meal. They just kept coming and coming. I cannot say much about their western style food because we avoided it as best we could. The staff were also really good. They would help you out with everything you needed and go out of their way to do it. The rooms were huge and clean. There were some minor problems and they were too big to feel cozy, hence the 4 stars. The pool was nice for a dip when it got too hot outside. Getting to the restaurant was a bit of a problem when it rained and it is definitely not handicapper friendly.

Nice and easy friendly staff, owner was very helpful with things we have done at the Ancient city of Anuradhapura, tasty and fresh foods, buffet was excellent 😋 I love vegetarian foods on that day they've made almost Sri Lankan vegetables, attractive salads and traditional dressing make me happy, Thank you very much for the good caring and well standard of hospitality, Good luck..!!

We were 04members including our two children of family stayed one night and it was amazing. Very good staff and service. The breakfast was hilarious. And also fare charges. Recommended.

One of the good hotels near Anuradha puram area. The distance is like 40 mins from hotel to Anuradha puram heritage sites. Rooms were big and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best we had in srilanka. Overall a very good place to stay during lanka visit. Hotel was part of booking of the tour. Kindly see rates for individual booking. Breakfast complimentary with stay. Food was good but pricier than the local hotels.
