Once an Excellent hotel now a sad picture to see. Poor food and absolutely there was no taste. We had a limited variety to choose from. Vine glasses, plates are very dirty. There are not clean well and we had to wash it again before eat and drink. Wash rooms are well not maintained. Some taps are not working. There not enough space to car park. I went there two years ago. Services and the hotel was very nice in those days. But unfortunately now we experienced very bad customer service.

The hotel is not situated bear the main road but the view outside the hotel is beautiful. No elevator is available. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was average in taste and the options were less. But the given options were ok. Loved the fried lake fish. The pool is nice and since there are lot of places to visit only few people use the pool.

The hotel is located in next to the lake which has an amazing view. My family stayed there for 2 days The food is excellent. Everyone in the hotel staff including Mr. Sumith the CEO, responded to requests/inquiries and always helpful and friendly. The pool is the best place for kids. The pool attendant is a nice man which is appreciated. Overall I had a great stay at the Heritage Hotel 👌🙏🏼❤️

Good things first 1. The environment is good. Bad things 1. Arrived to the hotel at 1.00 PM. No one is there for help us to get the baggages from vehicle. We entered to the hotel and they requested to pay the full payment. We paid the full amount (37,000 LKR). 2. We received our rooms at 2:30 PM (waited 1:30 hours to get the rooms) 3. Reception staff was not friendly. 4. The room was not properly maintained. Telephone was not worked. Unabled to close the bathroom door. Room was not clean. 5. We ordered soup (1250 LKR per person) and I received small cup with 1 bun. In my room, I had my wife and my daughter. So the full amount for soup was 2500 LKR (two small cups of soup and 3 small buns). I think, the chief who made the soup forgot to add salt. My suggestion If you are planning to visit this hotel, please make sure to check your room before pay the room charge.

Very bad from the start. Once we went to the hotel the receptionist said that there will be no power for sometime as there is a problem with the generator. Then we asked to cancel the booking and left. On the way they called and guranteed that there will be no power failure. So we came back. Room was okay. Bed was not that comfy as in luxury hotels. TV was not working. They said that it was because there is "No Signal". Food was yummy but the presentation was very poor. When we asked for the menu that person asked " Sri Lankan ewa ada tyenne kalawame gennada 🙄". Buffet was there for lunch as they had a function in the hall. Most of the food was over once we went there. Most probably the only hotel where the staff of the hotel also have their meals at the same place in the restaurant even before the guests finish eating.Very unpleasant. During check out they gave a form to give the feedback but the receptionist was peeping into each and every word we write and asked questions. I think this hotel is a very bad option for anyone who visits Anuradhapura. Better go for another place. Not worth for money that you spend.

The best place to stay in Anuradhapura. The city can be reached quickly within few minutes. Hotel is located in very unique place near Tissa lake and hotel has very marvelous view to Ruwanweli Maha Seya. Specially the CEO of the hotel, Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe was very friendly and helpful person. He gave us to superb service and treated us like their family members. Each member of hotel staff was very friendly. Specially have to mention about the foods. They gave us unforgettable food experience with delicious food items. Rooms were very clean and had more space. Highly recommended for families and couples.

The check-in process was quite inconvenient. Although the stated check-in time was 2pm, I had to wait until 4pm to receive my room. The delay was unexpected and caused a bit of inconvenience, especially after a long journey. Despite the delayed check-in, I must commend the hotel on the quality of its food. They offered a wide range of delicious dishes. The overall dining environment was pleasant. Unfortunately, the room itself fell short of my expectations. The cleanliness was subpar, and it was evident that the housekeeping staff could have done a better job. Additionally, I found the bed to be uncomfortably rigid, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Another issue I encountered was with the checkout time. Although it was clearly stated as 12pm, the hotel staff requested that I check out by 11am. I Hope the management takes these feedback points constructively and addresses them to provide a better experience for future guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heritage Hotel, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The staff at Heritage Hotel went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendly and attentive service truly made me feel welcomed throughout my entire visit. Additionally, the food served at Heritage Hotel was absolutely delicious. From the delectable breakfast options to the mouthwatering dinner dishes, every meal was a delightful culinary experience. I can't wait to return to Heritage Hotel in the future for another exceptional stay!

We visited around early July. The FB package was around Rs.25000 for a double room. When we arrive, no one came to collect the baggage and we did brought the baggage to the lobby on our own. The Lunch was not good and does not taste at all. The Dinner was more like the same as Lunch and not worth it. We complained about the Lunch and Dinner and somehow the next day, the Breakfast was good with tasty food. The CEO used to talk with people arrived while they are having food, so when we said the food was not good in taste (Lunch and Dinner) he was saying that they got impacted from Covid and so on (Not a professional reply expected from a CEO while there are other hotels got recovered from Covid and giving a good experience for their customers E.g. Hotel Sigiriya). Not recommending this place because its not worthy.

One of the best hotels in Anuradhapura, with Fairly good room conditions compared to other hotels in the town. One of the best things in the hotel is the food, Their buffet was really good, and wide range of collections, Including an action kitchen for dinner and lunch. And of course, the CEO seems like very passionate about getting more visitors to the hotel.

This is our third time staying at this hotel. We received a very warm welcome. The hotel staff is very friendly and flexible. It is a pleasure to be able to do all the work without delay according to our time frame. We had two elderly adults among us and we appreciate the flexible and caring service provided to them. The hotel premises are kept very clean and pleasant. Food is delicious. I am thankful to the hotel management and staff for giving us a good experience. Special thanks to Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe for his attention to the improvements regarding the company by exchanging ideas with the customers. Looking at the organization through the customer’s point of view is seen as a very good management concept. Thank you Heritage for a great memorial journey.

Nice location. Nice rooms but not the best view just few trees. Rooms not facing lake view. Nice pool. Food very good. Good selection for all three meals. Very friendly staff. Recommended for anyone visiting Anuradhapura.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a holiday to Sri Lanka from London. Lovely lakeside location and room was comfortable with good air con. Pool is beautiful and food very good. The staff were lovely during our stay, very helpful and attentive - lending us phone chargers, helping us book travel and arranging bicycles for a day. We didn’t use the pool bar, sports bar or massage services so can’t comment on those but good facilities on offer if you want them. Thank you to the lovely team at the Heritage for your hospitality.

It was a wonderful experience with my family. We had fullboard package for a one night. Service quality of staff is excellent. They are extremely friendly and polite. The CEO Mr Sumith Wijesinghe is there for talk to the guests and get their feedbacks about the hotel. I think that is a very good approach when come to service management. Food is also really good and tasty. However, the major of the guests were locals, because of that they have served with local food mostly. Kottu and hoppers action stations were there for the dinner. Rooms are also comfortable with really good AC. Specially the free wifi is really good. I had a 2 hours zoom meeting with out any issue. Hotel's location is very close to "Sri Maha Bodhi" , "Ruwanweli Seya" and also to the "Atamasthanya" and other historical sites too. Hotel is providing milk rice to take for the "Kiripindu Poojawa" in the morning for free of charge. Hotel is located infornt of the "Tissa Weva". From there we can see all the main stupas located in anuradhapura historical site. Hotel is providing a shuttle service from Anuradhapura railway station and vise versa for a reasonable rate.

The staff were great. The food was decent. Apart from that, really not a great experience. Bathrooms were very dated. And on the last day, it took 2hrs from the time we ordered to finally be served dessert. Access road hadn't probably been repaired since the days of king Dutugamunu 😃

Average rooms and Excellent food with all needed facilities. Friendly staff. Reasonable rates. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I visit Anuradhapura again

I don't like to give 2 stars but the staff all spoke English but nobody greeted you. Waited 15 minutes with no one in the lobby for check in while 4 staff members just gazed about. Also waited 30 minutes for a beer, 20 to get, 10 more for a bottle opener. The CEO is speaking to the staff

I recently spent three enjoyable days at the Heritage Hotel and overall, it was a delightful experience. In comparison to other local accommodations, the stay here stood out positively. The staff was exceptionally supportive, adding a warm and welcoming touch to my visit. The culinary offerings were a highlight, with delightful and delicious food throughout my stay. I would confidently give the Heritage Hotel a solid 4 out of 5 rating. The staff's friendliness and professionalism contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere. The surroundings were simply breathtaking, complemented by well-appointed rooms that added to the overall comfort of my stay. While the overall experience was fantastic, it's worth mentioning a minor issue. The natural surroundings, though beautiful, seem to attract a few bugs. However, this is a relatively minor concern in the grand scheme of things and did not significantly impact my stay. In conclusion, Heritage Hotel provides a wonderful stay with excellent staff, delectable food, and charming surroundings. I highly recommend it, and the minor issue with bugs is easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience.

Went there for an evening meal. General maintenance and cleanliness needs improving. Bar area air conditioner is not adequate. Only one head unit works, and another has been removed. Hence really uncomfortable to be there.

Our first visit to this hotel.It is a very bad experience. Still we are experiencing unpleasant incidents. Buffet is not worth for the money..no taste at all. No proper combination. Washrooms and the buffet area are not cleaned properly. There was a bat flying in the restaurant. Bed sheet & pillows are very old and not clean & tidy. Bathrooms also not clean and smelly bad. Plate and other cutlery not clean properly and very old eq. But very friendly staff and very helpful. ( specially cleaning and maintenance) . but not recommend this "HERITAGE ANURADHAPURA" WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER

It's a very old hotel with a vintage notion. The openness is amazing, the rooms were spacious enough. Restaurant food were okay, a bit pricey. But seemed to be a good place for arranging an occasion.

One of the best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Staff were very attentive. Food was fantastic.Rooms were clean. They even provided "kiri ahara" free of charge which was a wonderful gesture. Hoping to visit Heritage Hotel Anuradhapura again soon.

My stay at the Heritage Hotel was excellent. The check in process was very smooth with the rooms already prepared for us when we arrived. The rooms are clean with a powerful Air Conditioner which kept us cool. The restaurant staff were very friendly with the CEO of the hotel frequently checking in on us to make sure we were satisfied. I would recommend the Heritage Hotel in Anuradhapura to anyone who is looking to visit the area.

Excellent hotel with a lovely ambiance and interiors, so many picture perfect locations. Overall very hygienic and well maintained place. The staff is especially friendly helpful and they will arrange anything on request. The food and spread is amazing too. 10/10 will be back . Good job team keep it up !

It was a great experience with my family in Anuradhapura at Heritage Hotel. All the staff are really friendly and professional specially Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe CEO of the hotel and Mr. Nishantha. I really thankful entire team to as they helped me and my family a lot to spent our vacation wonderfully. Location is excellent. Beautiful view and its definitely attractive. Eye catching view always exhilarating your mind and soul. Highly recommended for family, friends or any professional event.

Located in a calm and quiet environment, 10 minutes away from the sacred city. We’ve been staying in this hotel for more than 10 years. The staff including the CEO of the hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming. Food and rooms are of great quality. It’s a very safe place for you and your family. Definitely should be your top choice in Anuradhapura!

Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff who go out of the way to accommodate our requests, which was refreshing. Number of food options with buffet. Rooms were clean and spacious, but with old furniture, which needs an upgrade.

The rooms were not spacious and bathroom also not in good condition. Flush was broken. Pool area was good and the staff was helpful. Sports bar was good. But charged for games although we were in house guests. The food was not tasty. Dinner had a fried rice which was tasteless. The other food items were also not tasty. Breakfast also not good. Kiri hodi was full of salt. We paid for Full board at check in and we decided to check out after breakfast and informed them after having dinner but they denied of returning our money back we paid for lunch. We had a huge loss. Worst service I have seen.

We didnt stick around enough to see the location as we planned to stay for 2 nights but decided to leave asap. The room was quite nice but the bathroom was NOT clean. That is like the most basic requirement.The comode was so dirty as it was not cleaned after the people before us. They had some sort of a function the day we arrived and it seemed that they focused every staff member and food to the said function and the lunch we received was really bad.There was nothing to eat and we only had leftovers and the staff didnt even refill. We had to scrape from the buffet and I dont even want to mention the desserts. The dinner was not that bad but when we try to get hoppers they said that well have to wait as there is an order to get hoppers. We had to wait so long to get hoppers by the time we get hoppers we had finished eating and we were about to leave. The best thing about the dinner was the old sir who was singing to us at the buffet. At the breakfast the food was moderate but the cups that were there to drink tea was so dusty almost every cup had something inside. When we arrived at the hotel the lady at the reception was so busy she didnt have time to pay attention to us for a long time. It had been a while since we got to a three star hotel with NO welcome drink. The experience was so bad we had to checkout a day before. I have to mention that the manager is a friendly and a nice person. From my experience, would not recommend this to another person.

Very nice, hidden away from the city hotel. It’s near the local reservoir so you can take a brisk walk along the water. The food was great! We enjoyed every meal we had there. Got to see a few weddings while we were there. The staff are wonderful and the ambience is lovely. The one thing that I don’t like is the mattress thickness. It’s very thin and for someone like me with back issues, it’s very uncomfortable. However, my other family members were not bothered by it. All in all, it was a lovely stay.

We stayed twice in Heritage Hotel during our visits to Anuradhapura. Considering our travels in Sri Lanka and overseas one of the most pleasant stays at both times in the Heritage hotel. Most significant factor is the excellent costumer service and most friendliest staff. They always go beyond and provide extraordinary service with a smile. CEO Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe seems to be the secret of such a service and allways find on the hotel floor interacting with guests and working together with the staff. Hotel is in a nice calm location with close proximity to eight sacrad places. Spacious rooms with balconies with lake and beautiful view of greenery. We accidently left a bag with valubles during checkout and the staff was honest enough to safekeep the bag and contact us. We recommend the hotel to anyone who expect calm and pleasant stay in Anuradhapura.

On this long weekend, we visited this place which was stunning. Heritage is a relaxing resort near Lake Tissa with its eco-friendly green environment. For us, it was a very attentive stay with friendly and smiling staff. The CEO of the hotel, Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe was very friendly and gave us superb service. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the most relaxing environment at the Tissa Weva lake. The most spectacular view was the sight of four great Dagobas across the beautiful Tissa Wewa, just a few steps from the hotel. I wish we had more time to spend by the lake and it's a memory that won't fade away. Thank you heritage team for making our weekend superb.

Good place for a family visit in Anuradhapura. Friendly staff and the food was delicious. We request a cake for our baby's birthday and the provided it with a reasonable cost. During out time of the visit (2022 Aug) they were the only hotel that offered buffet for all three meals in Anuradhapura area

We were there just for few minutes due to sudden Island wide Curfew,we requested to postpone our reservation and they immediately take action for it.And General Manager personally involved, even I spoke to him after one week he could remember us and our issue and confirmed their consent in-writing. Rooms are clean and big. Waiting to spend our vacation there near future

Nice hotel, gorgeous pool area, hard to evaluate during power shutdowns. Rooms could use a little refreshing. Super polite staff. Excellent breakfast.

The room was nice, clean and spacious! The hotel felt deserted when we were there, which meant we spent a lovely undisturbed afternoon swimming in the beautiful pool. Service was a little slow, took us a very long time to get drinks by the pool. The food was lovely and the location was good.
