We loved it here. Sirat is an amazing host, helping all of the guests organize their visit to his city and other places in Sri Lanka. The food and rooms were beyond expectations and were great value for the money. The hotel sits on the shore of a beautiful lake. Breakfast and dinner are served outside in the garden on one big table which makes for a great way to interact with fellow travelers. We sat around for hours in the evening swapping stories. The attached bathrooms are great with rainfall showers and good AC. The mosquito nets on the beds mean you don't have to worry about bugs. Can't recommend this place enough!

Sarat is the perfect host. He is responsive, helpful, friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure you are enjoying yourself. The rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. You have mosquito nets, fans and ac. The food here is excellent, the breakfast is an amazing assortment of local dishes cooked by Mom. The dinner is the same, so many food selections and they are always bringing out more food. You eat as a large family group so get to meet other guests allowing us to share experiences. Sarat goes around the table ensuring everyone has a chance to try all the delicious dishes. Tables are arranged in the garden by the lake so it's a beautiful atmosphere. He arranges transport to the sights ensuring his driver's take you to buy the proper tickets. He will also help arrange transportation to your next destination. He will also take you to run errands no problem. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it.

Location is very calm and quiet with an eye-catching lake view. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Sarath is a brilliant host. He is responsive, helpful, friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay comfortable. We experienced it, as we had to face a problem in our vehicle. He helped us so much. <br/>Highly recommended. You will have a wonderful stay at Heritage Lake View.

Some issues in our stay, no water pressure in the shower, the toilet had a breakdown, the owner was not there almost all the time and had to wait for him to return. The level of the room is discreet. The bed, breakfast and the lake view the best. The woman who is always there tries to help but does not speak just English.

A really good and decently cheap place to stay in Anaradhapura with a very nice host. We stayed here for two nights and in both he showed us tremendous hospitality. Night one he got us some beers (which he only charged government price for, no extra charge for his service), but he underestimated our thirst, which meant we were out of beer after two rounds. When we told him it was fine, he suddenly came out with his personal stash of brandy and soda, telling us we could share that. The day after he got us beers again, once again without charge. (We got him new brandy to compensate of course) The second day one of my friends lost their key and he helped us basically break into the room, damaging the doorpost and breaking the lock in the process. When we offered to pay for the damages, he wouldn't hear of it and he fixed the door before we went to bed that night. All in all a great stay with a very nice host. P.S. breakfast was also very nice and also a lot of food

Absolutely brilliant place. Host is super helpful with free tuktuk rides, information about city, room upgrade (we were the only guests at the time) etc. We spotted more species of birds here then in our last wildlife Park. Perfect location on the lake with fabulous breakfast. Normally we eat breakfast in 30 minutes, but here we stayed for 2 hours because it was so good (and so much). Everything is new and clean so makes it really your perfect stay in Anaradhapura.

A top place with a top manager. We stayed there in Aug 2018, and had a great time. Sarath, the owner, offers many services to make the experience great (pick-up and drop to railway station, tuk tuk drives for take aways for diner, and the the location is just awesome on the banks of a lake with water lilies, birds, and many other animals. Breakfast is very good. The room was clean, comfortable, with good A/C, and, again, a great view!

This is an ideal budget hotel for you Anuradhapura visit. It's located few minutes away from sacred city and within new town area of Anuradhapura. Rooms are calm and quiet.Hot water, AC are default and room cleaness is above average. Parking available within the premises and most probably you will find a shade. The proprietor and the servant are helpful. It's better if you can book a lake view room.

Very nice view on an adjacent lake, relaxing setting. Owner is very friendly, provides his tuktuk free of charge for nearby trips in the vicinity of the newtown. Has two decent bikes for hire (R500/day); and kindly organized a kids bike for us. Breakfast is carbs intense, ask the owner in advance if you like fruits in the morning. Rooms are generally clean, although our room wasn't been cleaned during our two night stay. Furniture is not in the best shape. Given the large number of mosquitos coming out promptly at 18:00, it would be great to have mosquito screens around windows and doors. Instead, the staff burns a big fire in the garden every evening and runs a smoke distribution process in the house.
