Very bad accommodation. Not enough fans in non A/C rooms. The price was way too much for such bad accommodation. There was a hole on the wall , where anyone from outside can see what's happening in the room. Toilets need to be more clean and the bed sheets were dirty. The water flow in the toilets need to be accurate the toilet literally floods when you have a shower. The room doors need to be strong and the doors need yo be fixed properly. Absolutely disgusting . worse hotel I have ever been. !!!

I'm a frequent traveler. This place was the worst places of all the places i have been. Bathrooms were not clean and taps work occasionally. Bed sheets were not changed. There were hair all over the bed sheet. On top of that service was the worst. When we complain about the A/C not working properly, he was yelling at us saying thats all they can provide. Not recommend to go there!! As I'm unable to reply to your comment, Im adding the details here..... First of all, don’t tell that we stole your bed sheets or pillow cases because we bought our own bed sheets and few extra pillows since there were children. We came on a pilgrimage and we don’t want to steal your pillows. Further, like I said in the feedback, there were hair on the bed when we first arrived, and we were disgusted to use those. So, we used our own pillows and bed sheets. This is not a wrong comment, and this is what I have experienced. Yes, we've booked for 15 people with a down payment of 7500 LKR. But it's normal to have extra people and we asked for extra room for them. You got quite a big business there. If you haven't had available rooms, we could have found another hotel nearby. We paid and stayed there. Not that we stayed at the hotel for free!!! On AC thing, we know how to use the AC remote and the fact is that when we said that the AC is not enough, your in-charge person yelled at us. We paid and stayed not that you gave us rooms for free. And I can see you never apologies to us or you are not even sorry for your customers. Further, you were not there when your in-charge person yelling at us and he was a total disaster to be an in-charge person. First teach him how to talk with good manners for people who are paying and staying at a hotel. No need of arguing with a person like you and let the travelers decide the reality. People can see how arrogant you are with a comment like this and they can judge how arrogant your hotel staff was.

Basically the owner uses the place to talk tourists into a tour he organizes (he is then also the driver). The tour was okay but too expensive. At the ayurveda place which was part of the tour (of course you have to pay extra for that) sex was offered... The hotel is very basic.

What a great guest house, Milan and his family made us feel so welcome and really looked after us. Milan speaks perfect English as well which makes everything so easy. Set on a. Lake, the whole place has an easy laid back feel to it. They offer breakfast and dinner at reasonable prices and it's good quality and large portions! We booked a standard room which is reasonably clean (bathroom can be cleaner) and basic and comes with a fan and no AC, although that can be arranged for 1000 a night. They don't give you a room clean unless you ask for it, which we did once. However they only thing they did was folding the bed sheet and tying up the mosquito net. They help you book tuk tuk, transfers and tours all no problem and make sure you get a fair price. The only bad experience was the safari we organised through them but this was hardly their fault as they weren't informed the regular driver wasn't taking us. They did however complain and get us a partial refund and stop doing future business with this guy (don't safari Wilpattu with Nimal!). There are a few small touches that would make this place better like a tea and coffee station or even just a kettle,the furniture also needs a refresh, it feels like there's lots of empty space in the main room and outisde. Also a daily room clean with fresh towels would be great. Of course it is a budget hotel, but it is slightly more expensive that other hotels in the area which gives the expectation that it would be slightly cleaner. We highly recommend this place and had a great time here! Milan made up for every little negative with his excellent approach. They even gave us a cake to celebrate our engagement! Such a nice touch and meant a lot to us. Thank you!

Lake Wave Hotel has the most amazing food, which was our favourite throughout our motorbike tour of this beautiful island. The owner Upali & his lovely wife could not have been more accommodating to our needs...at night time we had wonderful conversations overlooking the Lake...such a beautiful open mind he has!!! A great place to stay while exploring this area...I hope one day to return 👍✌

Good place for lodging. Friendly owners and staff. Meals are pleasant and they would cook your meals on request. Just by the lake and the view and the wind is very pleasing. Good place overall!

Home away from home.. Nice place to relax in front of the lake. Milan was extremely talented and well known about the city and best times to visit the places. His mom food was awesome. We loved this place. Highly recommended. Hope we'll stay again there

AC, mosquito nets and awesome staff. Also there is a shop for cloths they will tailor specifically for you. Also the lady is not a professional she does it with love and vigor. I was more than happy with my trousers and would happily do it again. The food is also very good and especially the dinner was always a pleasure. Because of the rental bikes this place is perfectly suited to do day trips into the surrounding town and area.

Very good calm place. You can enjoy the evening in the garden and the lake in the other side. Good management. Friendly. Supporting to find the places to visit. They have lots of details about the city and places. Highly recommended!!

We recently stayed at Lake Wave Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful in organizing and planning our trip. He knows a lot of people in the area and was able to connect us with great tours and activities. He also had bicycles available for rent which made it easy for us to explore the beautiful town of Apura. The owner's knowledge and willingness to help made our stay at Lake Wave Hotel truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a helpful host. Plus is the location around the lake and the nice terrace to see an incredible star spectacle.

We've been in lake wave hotel in December and it was all perfect ! Good room and clean bathroom, and the living room is very pleasant. Then we could by some beautiful clothes made by one of the owners :) The welcoming was very very nice, we had very good conversations, thx again ! There are also bicycles to rent so staying there is the best place in front of the lake! We miss it ! Théo & Pauline
