Stayed A one night in a family room, but i have faced to some issues. This place is located in just 1 minute walking distance from 'Kuttam Pokuna' (Twin Ponds) and the place is managing by a family. Owner is very friendly person, and the premises is newly built, and clean. but theres no some basic requirements. (I have mentioned below) 01. No chairs or table in room. The room contains only with beds. mirror, small cabinet and small cloths rack. 02. Plug points not working In the room we stayed, theres 4 plug points. But only 1 plug point is in working condition 03. No taps in washroom. In washroom, theres only washbasin, commode , and shower. Theres no any tap for wash our legs. 04 Common place to eat This place have 4 rooms, but only one table with 4 chairs (common) to take breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's a big issue. 05. This rooms no have natural air ventilation systems (like louvers) so room temperature is very high in nights. 06 No dustbins in rooms They didn't provide dustbins. So we had to collect our trash to shopping bags.

Worst place I have stayed. No dustbins. No any places to wash our hands after eating. There were frogs in the room. Even the taps in wash room were not well maintained. It was broken. Even in this corona season they are not providing soap. Used soaps were in the washroom. When they are getting new booking they are treating previous guests unfriendly. When they are getting a new guest, they are chasing previous customer even before the checkout time. Not recomend for anyone to stay.

Sorry but can't give more than 1 star. The location is the only plus point here. Regret to say but will never go back.It felt like a college hostel with so many rules. Breakfast was available but only if everyone in all rooms agrees has the same variety of food. No towels, no dust bins in rooms.The cleaning of bed linen was not adequate. The owners wife and the little one were always with a smile. Thank you both. Guess with such a low cost can't expect more. I stayed there purely for the location. Expect nothing more

Best Guest house in the town , well recommended for families, it’s very clean and safe , More space to park our vehicles . If you need food pls inform to the manager your requirement, they will arrange it by request. Most important thing is it’s very very near to the ruwanwalimahasaya . place very calm & quite.....we can get a very tasty meal without any flavorings...🍜🍨🥘🍲🦐The service is excellent and attractive. All are the sacred places near to පුන්කලස lodge....Cleaned and specious rooms, Highly recommend this beautiful place for anyone who is looking for a good accomodation.👍❤️

One of the best places in Anuradhapura.Easy access to all the ancient places. Owner is very honest person & very helpful. If you need meals please inform him as early as possible. He will arrange ! Rooms are very well cleaned. Enough parking spaces are there. Can recommended for stay ! Good luck Punkalasa tourist lodge !

great location , in the middle of the unesco world heritage site in Anuradhapura, stone threw away from the twin pool. the host Thilan is very friendly and take good care of your needs. Room is neat and breakfast is decent.. There is option to have dinner at the lodge as well. Will stay when visit Anuradhapura again..

Punkalasa Tourist Lodge a place that I can highly recommend to spend in Anuradhapura. The place is like a hub and you can easily visit all the attractive places in Anuradhapura. Place is very good and the hospitality is commendable.

Cancelld the booking. Worst. They call and say the facilities such as breakfast are not available for the same price. Very unfriendly. I do not recommend the place to local tourists and also for foriegns. If they scaming locals like this i cannot imagin how they mislead forigners.
