Had a bad experience at this place. We booked this place by reviewing the pictures on the website; however, we were disappointed to find out that the actual rooms looked nothing like the pictures. The bedsheets were dusty and the floor of the room was sticky. The paint of the walls inside the rooms were peeling off. Also, it was filled with mosquitoes. Moreover, the roof started to leak in one room when it was raining and we had to shift to a new room. All in all, it was very poorly maintained. Would not recommend.

This place is absolutely filthy. We went here on a family trip - about 30 of us: we know the area does not have any good hotels, we thought this would be okay. We didn’t have big expectations going in, however expected a level of cleanliness that was described on the national holiday resort website. The rooms are filled with mosquitoes, the bathroom doors are falling apart, the bathrooms are filthy - I felt disgusted to use the amenities here. The shower curtains are mouldy and the paint is peeling off the walls.

Checkin time is very inconvenient. The garden space is not beautified enough (very dark at night). Food is good. Security is rude and unsupportive. Reception is typical public servant experience. Not a wow for the price paid.

rooms and the building should be maintained. The staff is very helpful. meals are satisfactory. Rooms are full of mosquitoes. No blankets. Mosquito nets were damaged (torn) . There are three mosquito nets one net was hung down.

Not a suitable place to stay. It’s under construction. The new complex of rooms are decent enough. Yet there are cockroaches and the garden is not safe to walk across. They are having a timber workshop in the basement for the ongoing construction work. Room was 11,000 with breakfast and dinner. Food is not terrible but you can’t really call it a buffet. 4-5 dishes with mediocre taste and lot of oil Old rooms are not habitable. This is close to maha seya and the temple yet they aren’t providing a good service for the money and not maintaining it properly. Shame on the management. They should not make people so uncomfortable after traveling so far for religious purposes. We had a few months old baby with us and honestly felt so helpless at that time of the day because the whole town was booked and we had nowhere else to turn to.

Pretty decent place, rooms were good, unfortunately the main shower of our washroom didn't work and didn't notice at first. Always check the main shower as it was a newly constructed one, which we chose. It was a deluxe one. Spacious room with AC, big flat screen Tv with cable channels, has a balcony too. Nice and clean bed, bedsheets, extra pillows, and with clean bath towels. Wash room was clean and with all new fittings and attachments. Food is great and if you need anything extra better let them know before hand. Quality and the taste were very good too.. not too oily or too heavy. It's a buffet so feel free to serve to your heart's content. 24HRS stay for two individuals in a deluxe would cost you including all 3 meals for about Rs. 13,500/-

it was a wrong decision to choose the National Holiday Resort as it was not only upto our expectations but also not meeting basic conditions of Hospitality industry. We arrived at the hotel after a long drive of 7 hours and we were moved in to a half arranged room. no towels, no blanket, full of mosquitoes, used soap pieces inside the bathroom ect. we had to remind the staff on constant basis to provide the above. Yet we were not provided with blankets as they had only one to accommodate the line of three people requesting the same. we had to sleep with hundreds of mosquitoes. not a place to relax. clearly not good to go with children.

You cam prepared kiri ahara on there and very friendly staff.

Good n helpful service staff. They always ready to serve you. Need renovation of old part of the resort. Need improve of the policy of owner of the resort.

Anuradhapura resort charges are very unfair. We paid for a dulux double room around 7,442. There was a tv in the room. Bt not work. When we asked it they said tv connection and hot water facilities are not yet fixed. Bt they have charged for that.
