A tank very closely located to the Anuradhapura new town. In recent past introduction of walking path and the refurbishment of the children park, many locals as well as the tourists visited this place. Nice place to visit.

Very small lake (tank) near Anuradhapura new town. Recently jogging track developed along the tank bund and you can use it free of charge. There is a children park in one end which also FOC, and few juice bars behind the park. you can enjoy fresh fruit juice with reasonable price. Unfortunately some local ppl not aware about the value n beauty of this environment n they littering here n there.

Nice serene place. The walk path isn’t well maintained. There’s a kids park and so many tiny juice and snack bars across the road. You can also find many hotels to stay over around that area. Best time to visit : early morning or in the evening.

Scenic view during the evening. Crowded on holidays and weekends. There is a children's park near this tank. Good place to have a walk or a chat as there are benches to sit. Also there are several shops that you can buy juices and snacks. Parking available.

Small lake in Anuradhapura city. One can access from New Town bus stand or near public fair. Just a few meters. Great views. There are some bunks on the bank of the reservoir. Ideal place to walk in the evening. There is a children's play area and a jogging track . Many tourist guest houses around. Must visit place at Anuradhapura.

Very nice place to visit and spend time with family and children, wonderful place to visit with our lovely family, and you can spend around 3-4 hours here, kids playing areas available for free giant kids skate available, duck boat driving available in the lake, evening sunset nice to look from the lake, sitting areas are there around the lake, and you can walk around the lake for exercise

This amazingly beautiful tank is located smack in the middle of the New Town , Anuradhapura in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. A jogging path running along the bank and a children's park is situated adjacent. Many hotels offering accomodation and quite a few juice bars and eateries too. With breathtaking views at dawn and sunset this is an ideal place to relax or workout.
