We took the cable car ride into the zoo. The ride itself is great as it saves you the trouble of having to walk up to the zoo and you get to enjoy the scenery. The zoo itself is very huge and can be quite tiring to walk all day. The animals are great of course, and the sun bears were especially friendly to humans. There are interesting sections such as the nocturnal exhibit and the insectarium. There are many restaurants in the zoo itself, alongside the super cool lion cafe. Highly recommend to get a seat by the window to get a close view of the lions. To get back to the metro from the zoo you can take the elephant train, which is just a tram ride back. It costs money and you can buy the ticket from a kiosk near the boarding section.

The elephant train is at the seoul grand park and you can choose to take the train to seoul zoo. Seoul zoo is the second stop. Elephant train is KRW3000/PAX. SEOUL ZOO Ticket is KRW5000/PAX. There is sky lift. However its close at 7pm. Rmb to check all the details before you go. There is a few of snack bar if you go early. Including weenybeeny a shop that sells gummy and chocolates which you can choose and pay by gram. Its a lot of fun if you really got more time! But otherwise. I would say its doable to complete the seoul zoo in 3hrs if you dont take too long at each point.

Awesome zoo, nice museum, family and camping zone, very nice place to visit animals, enjoy fresh air and family time

Great place to date. Rhino was by far the most impressive animal in the park. (though there were Elephants and Hippos). Definitely a site to visit with family and friends too.

Nice park next to the zoo and Seoul Land. Can be enjoyed on its own though.

It has changed in the past 10 years, and that change is not in the right direction. First major change was the removal of the fountain. Maybe I am late to the game on this one, but I remember that fountain being a fairly nice sized landmark that made the park very special. The next issue, which is not really a change but a complaint - vendors are peddling a ton of Chinese made goods along the sidewalk coming from the subway station. A plus is that due to the pandemic the numbers at the park are tremendously low. This makes it great to walk around and take in the surrounding nature sans the crowds of people.

It was a great place to visit as an adult and for kids too. A lot of animals, beautiful trees and flowers. I would definitely go there again if I had the chance!

We went to visit the zoo and it’s not quite as straight forward as you’d think. Buying tickets for the zoo I think you get them in the main building as we had a free pass we didn’t do this. But found there are two different ways to get into the zoo, if you’re going via land train you go up the stairs past the ticket office. To get the skyline(lift) you have to leave this building and as you are leaving it go left and follow this long wide path until you see some buildings you will find it there. There are no signs for it. You also buy tickets for it there as well or get your free tickets there as well for the zoo. There’s no age or height restrictions for this which I thought was very odd considering the massive drop beneath. Even saw strollers being put in some. Zoo is huge well worth going, there are a few places selling food and drink before you go in the grand park building as well.
