I
flew
into
Korea
for
the
first
time
in
my
life
on
19
November
2020.
I
have
been
in
Seoul
for
the
past
2+
weeks,
discovering
that
all
the
Korean
(&
other)
restaurants
cook
with
MSG
(monosodium
glutamate).
I
am
allergic
and
get
very
ill
eating
MSG.
So,
as
a
vegetarian,
I
have
basically
been
starving
myself
until
today,
when
I
discovered
an
Indian
Restaurant
in
Myeongdong,
where
I
am
staying.
(Indian
food
does
not
usually
use
MSG,
though
for
some
dishes
here
in
Korea,
the
cooks
do
add
MSG.)
To
my
surprise
and
joy,
this
restaurant
is
clean,
with
quiet
background
music
AND
best
of
all,
great
cooking!
(And
most
of
their
dishes
have
no
MSG.)
I
just
finished
eating
Palak
Paneer,
with
a
special
request
to
exchange
the
paneer
with
chickpeas
/
chan's
/
garbanzo
beans.
The
chef
was
very
accommodating,
and
prepared
for
me
the
Best
Ever
Indian
Dish
that
I
have
tasted
in
my
70
years
of
international
travel
(including
10
years
of
which
were
spent
in
northern
India
and
in
Nepal).
I
never
write
reviews,
and
certainly
not
publically
on
the
Internet.
But
today
I
am
writing
this
one,
because
I
am
so
blown
away
by
the
quality
and
refinement
that
the
dish
I
just
consumed
had.
For
sure,
if
you
want
to
have
a
wonderful,
top
of
the
line
(internationally!)
Indian
meal,
come
to
the
Gurkha
Restaurant
in
Myeongdong!
