The place is a good choice if you want to try some traditional stuff and take a break from spicy meals. But, I am not sure what the Michelin star is for, the broth is weak and lacks salt, and overall missing flavour. I know soups can be like that but this is like hot water with no seasoning. But the dumplings are very good. Note: They force 1 meal per person!

Read some reviews saying dumplings didn’t have that much taste but still wanted to try as was starving and nearly 2pm. (Their break is between 3-4pm). Queued for at least 30m and ordered the kimchi dumpling soup and seafood pancake. As i was eating solo they suggested half a pancake which was also still a large portion - it was much tastier than the dumplings. Wrapper was very thick and flavours just weren’t there. Despite how hungry I was, the pancakes were good but also felt it was too much dough rather than seafood. I went to another dumpling place which was 10000x’s better.

My favorite Korean dumpling place in Seoul. A must try place if you are in Insa-dong. You usually will see a queue at the front but it moves rather quickly so just be patient and wait. It’s hand made dumplings, no matter in soup based, steam or different kinds of flavors are all very tasty. The seafood pancake is good as well. I also like its appetizers. All super good. Very reasonable price too.

The restaurant is hidden away in a small alleyway and as we walked in, I saw a table by the window where they are making the dumplings by hand, so we knew we were at the right place. We ordered the first item on the menu, which is a dumpling soup for 2 (a mixture of normal and kimchi dumplings) and a side order of Buchimgae (Korean pancake). The soup was delicious and so were the dumplings, and 2 of us struggled to eat it all, and it was well worth it. The total bill came to around 35,000 Won or about US$30, which is pretty good.

Tried this mandu place in insadong that had a vegetarian option and a Michelin star. Six large mushroom mandu for 13,000. Tasty mandu, though i do prefer Jahasonmandu in buamdong. And even though these as vegetarian mandu, they still serve it with a side bowl of non vegetarian soup. Added potato pancake with the mushroom which was really good. Sorry that i didnt take photo of the food. Was hungry and ate too quickly 🤣
