Perfect place! Came here because of the great reviews and were not at all disappointed. The location itself is beautiful with many palm trees and a small pond! The sanctuary is caring for only 2 elephants at the moment, but it was only us and one other couple caring for the elephants during the one session, so it felt really personal. Everything was well explained in the beginning, but also during the session Bang was happy to answer any questions. We got to know the elephants first by feeding them banana and sugar cane, then we went to walk with them, made and fed them some vitamin balls, went to the mud spa with them (great fun), showered and went into the natural pool with them where we cleaned them. We were served some lovely fruit, coconut and cake/cookies. Really felt very welcomed. Bang took a lot of time with us, so we did not feel rushed at all. He even took some great pictures with his good camera and provided them for us after the trip. Would definitely recommend! Would love to visit again one day!

Truly one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. Bang and the team of 5 genuinely take such good care of the elephants and treat them like family, there is quite an emphasis on educating tourists on elephant welfare. Elephants are free to roam as they please and guests simply bribe them with bananas and mud bathes. The team also take incredible professional photos throughout and email them to everyone for free, as well as use your own phones to take photos which makes it so much easier to enjoy the experience. The team also provides yummy snacks and plenty of bottled water, tea and coffee and showers for after the mud bath. Groups are limited to 12 so you get plenty of one on one with the elephants. I couldn't recommend this tour enough if you want to see healthy and happy elephants.

This is an incredible sanctuary that has 2 elephants in their 30s (they can live to 100 in good conditions). The sanctuary limits 12 people per group, which doesn't overwhelm the elephants. They have no chains and can walk wherever they want - to start the tour we went into the jungle and called their names and they came out on their schedule. The mud bath and washing were my favorite parts of the day. An incredible experience and well run sanctuary.

If you are looking for an elephant sanctuary near Krabi, this is the one. Bang, the manager, and his team are so kind and caring and speak with such passion about animal safety and teaching tourists the right ethos so tourists can spread the word. For them, they let the elephants go free with no chains, barriers or riding. You need to earn the elephant's respect not the other way around. We did the afternoon tour with groups kept to a max of c. 10-12 people. They have 2 female elephants and after introductions, we were brought to "find" them foraging, then initial feeding, stolling back, more feeding, mud baths, bathing and more feeding. Just such an amazing, rewarding, special experience. Couldnt recommend more!

If you don’t know which Elephant shelter to choose, choose this one! Bang, the owner, is so passionate and in love with elephants, his English is very good and his mission is to educate everyone about these sweet and calm animals to stop Elephant ridning and using them as machines.. and more (he Will tell you Why). All the fruit come from the local community and some of the money earned goes back to the neighbors, paying for children’s schools, clothes etc. Absolutely great experience and the elephants are so happy. They go around the land free, without fences, chains or ropes.

A truly wonderful place where you get close to elephants. This sanctuary has a great philosophy for caring for elephants and ensuring they are well looked after. Bang who runs the place was knowledgeable, helpful and ensured that guests and the elephants get what they need. Highlights of the visit include feeding the elephants and bathing the., which they loved! Such a great place highly recommend it.

Absolutely incredible. The best experience we had in Thailand. The love and passion that goes into this operation is great. The proactive approach to stopping animal cruelty in anyway. The selflessness, understanding that this is a better option for the Elephants but not the best and what they are doing to make sure the future generations appreciate that all animals belong in the wild. The 4 F's are values that are represent led through out. Thank you Bang and the entire team ❤️🐘

After seeing the reviews my group booked the tour. Bang and all the staff were amazing! The elephants are kept roaming with no fences, you can tell the staff love these beautiful creatures with all their hearts. “Mr. 123” gets amazing photos of you and the elephants. They limit the amount of people per day and I saw them turn away random people who just showed up, so the girls didn’t get overwhelmed. Best experience ever

A truly magic experience we will never forget! Thank you to all the superstar staff that keep this amazing sanctuary going. The elephants are extremely looked after not like other tourist attraction parks here. The elephants are well fed, happy and friendly! For the price you pay you get a full morning or afternoon to play and bond with them, feed them and help wash them. We would highly recommend this to everyone!

It was an incredible experience! We loved that this is a small operation so it did not feel commercialized and there was no crowd. We only had a small group and got to enjoy more personal interaction with the elephants. The staff there was very knowledgeable and you can see they care about the elephants. They only have 2 elephants at the moment, but both seem quite happy and well taken care of.

This was a very great experience. We were there with our 4 month old baby and Bang and his crew was so friendly with us. There was enough shadow for our baby ✌🏼 They have two elephants at the moment which they rescue from bad condition. The elephants live in natural habit with so much space. Absolutely perfect for them. ☺️ The tour took 3 hours and included feeding, playing in mud and preparing food for them 😄 at the beach end they offer us fruits, drinks and coconuts 🥥 Absolutely worth it and big recommendation! Please don’t visit Elephant Parks were you can riding them and check how they keep them before visiting 🐘

It was an amazing experience. When we came here, at first we get some explanations from the host, that we went to the jungle for looking for the elephants Pumpoy and Pinky came out of the jungle and we feed them to Make friends. Than we Go back to the camp together with the elephants. The size of group was perfect- only 8 adults .. so everyone has enough Time with the elephants. After that we prepared their food, Make mud bath and then normal bath to clean the elephants. After that take a shower at the camp and eat some fruits. Than say goodbye to the elephants and give them More food and also the Rest of our fruits. It was a Perfect afternoon. 😍 The mahout of the elephants go along with us the whole afternoon. Mr Banana (the Photo-Man) Made beautiful pictures and you can get them for free.

Great day. Friendly pick up at the hotel. Informative talk at the sanctuary. How they rescued the elephants. Love how they let the elephants choose if they wanna work with you. Great to see how the elephants run from the wild towards you. And the more time you spent with them you see them more relaxing. It was a great day and as a bonus they have a good photographer who send you later the photos by email. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Just wow. I have no words, what an amazing morning. The staff so friendly and welcoming. Full of the knowledge. To help care for these elephants ( who are clearly very well loved and looked after) was just the best experience, I would recommend to everyone. I am not sure much more in Thailand can top this!.

Lovely elephant sanctuary! only 20 mins from Krabi town, I and my little niece spent a great time together here. Staffs were so helpful! So many activities to do with elephants without encroachment(no riding/no sharp nail stick ). The environment is private and peaceful too, really suits for family or couples to have an incredible moment with nature!! ^^

The most memorable and wonderful experience of our trip to Thailand. What a lovely place, beautiful people that treat the animals like they should. 5 star hotel-like treatment, compared to what I was expecting. Slow and warm welcome, food, drinks, water, fresh fruit, showers, toilets, and the most memorable experience with two beautiful animals. Thank you so much 🙏🙏

This was such an amazing experience. The elephants roam freely and have a routine. They come out of the forest for feeding time. We made food for the elephants and you can hand feed them. Then bathe them in the mud and wash and swim with them after. They are beautiful creatures and Bang really looks after them and you can tell. They are not ridden or used for work they really are treated well. We had such a good time

VERY ETHICAL!!! 100% Recommend After plenty of searching for Elephant Sanctuaries, who are actually caring for these beautiful animals, and not being convinced, I found The Elephant Sanctuary Krabi and loved the reviews about Baang and the team After a talk about the sanctuary and the elephants, we went out into the jungle to find them. I loved this because the elephants weren’t just waiting for us, there was a sense of finding them wherever they wanted to be! After some bonding over bananas we all walked back to the centre as a troop, with the elephants deciding to stop in the stream in the way for a bath and a sleep! No one forced them to keep moving, they just laughed and left them chilling for a moment! At the sanctuary we prepared some nutritional supplement to help keep the elephants in top conditions, before a mud spa and a soak in the pool to round of the day! I truly felt these Elephants are being given the best life possible, and this led to a really amazing experience

Out of all the “Elephant Sanctuaries” in Krabi, you must come here! They really care about the elephants, and they taught us how to be gentle around them to gain their trust. You can be worry free and live in the moment as they have a camera man to take photos and send to you. They provided us with a very nice fruit platter and coconut juice after the tour! I let Bang know that we were heading straight to the airport and needed to be back to our hotel, and he was able to take us separately from the group to accommodate us. This was the best experience from our trip :) I recommend 10000% this excursion.

(Translated by Google) I am usually skeptical when it comes to animal tourism, but this Elephant Sanctuary convinced me 100%! The two elephants Honey and Pumpui were rescued from poor posture and now have a beautiful home where they can roam freely and are treated very lovingly, respectfully and in a manner appropriate to the species. The employees are wholeheartedly involved and always make sure that the elephants feel comfortable and are not forced to do anything. The atmosphere is just wonderful. During that time I learned a lot about elephants, as there is an introduction to the elephants and the sanctuary with a cup of coffee or tea and lots of delicious snacks. Everything is very personal and hospitable. After feeding the elephants (with self-prepared feed), they first go into a mud bath, then under the shower and then into a beautiful lake where you can scrub the elephants, which is obviously a pleasure for them. Basically, however, the following applies: If the animals do not feel like doing something, then they are not forced to do anything! You can see the satisfaction of the elephants and the passion of the employees is contagious. At the end, after a shower in the very well-kept facilities, there is a fresh fruit platter and a drinking coconut for each guest in addition to the always available snacks (various fruits, cookies and other little things). In this round we exchanged our experiences, had interesting conversations and just had a great time with animal-loving people. All with a view of the satisfied elephants, who now have some time for themselves again. The visit to the Elephant Sanctuary Krabi was definitely my highlight and I would recommend it to everyone as this project deserves every support and their work is just great. Big praise !! My expectations were exceeded!

(Translated by Google) It was an experience! You arrive and only get a briefing and background information on the elephants. During this time, the elephants can observe the visitors so that they can get used to the visitors. Then the elephants are fed with bananas. Then it goes to 2nd gear. The visitors prepare protein balls, which they can then feed. When we were there, Pumpui the elephant didn't really feel like eating these balls, but Honey stepped in selflessly. The third course is then leaves, grasses etc.. Then it goes into a mud bath and then under the elephant shower. The visitors can participate. Finally, you switch to a clean pond, where you can scrub the elephants properly. It is always ensured that the elephants are not forced to do anything. If you don't feel like it, then you don't. There are enough showers on site so that visitors can freshen up after the bath. Finally, there is a delicious snack made from fruit and pastries. Overall, a very impressive experience. As a European, you don't get that close to these impressive animals. In this elephant camp you are not allowed to ride the elephants and the elephants are never chained. This is exactly why we chose this camp. We would come back anytime and spend the day with Honey and Pumpui. Thanks to everyone who made this experience possible.

You get lots of information about elephants before the start of the program. The staff wants the best for the animals and community, that's why they only allow a small group of people each day. The best would be to have no visitors but they need some financial support, so they can help the animals. The ultimate goal would be to release the elephants into the wild, but that's not always possible so the sanctuary tries to give them the second best option.

It was the best experience in Krabi. The elephants are happy and well taken care of. During our visit in the sanctuary we had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with them, socializing and also giving them necessary space they need. What an amazing experience! The staff was great and super knowledgeable about the elephants. The elephants do not live chained up or even in a small enclosure, they are free to roam and huge piece of land in the jungle. You can tell how much the staff cares for the well being of the elephants over anything else. We would definitely recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!

This is the only true sanctuary in the Krabi region! Please don’t be fooled by the other ones that that have similar names. We only realised this thanks to other people’s reviews who have been tricked. (Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and enabling us to choose the right place!) The elephants, Anda & Honey are super well taken care of by a small but very dedicated team. It’s obvious that they have a great life and it’s been honoured to spend time with these gentle giants at the Elephant Sanctuary Krabi Thailand. Why you should choose this place: - It’s a real sanctuary, there is no riding. It’s proper sustainable tourism. - There is basically no limit on how much time you can spend with the elephants. - Nana, the host is lovely and knowledgeable. - The elephants are peaceful and welcoming. - The fruits and the snacks that you get throughout the experience is fantastic. - It’s a small intimate experience – there was only nine of us for two elephants for over three or four hours. - The mahuds clearly have a trusting relationship with the elephants. They didn’t raise their voice even once or touched the elephants and Anda & Honey still listened to every instruction. While this experience cost more than the other places - 2500 baht to be exact - it’s worth every penny and more!! The Elephant Sanctuary Krabi Crew - keep up the amazing work and thank you again for this unbelievable memory!!We hope that soon you will have two more elephants who will be just as happy as Anda & Honey.

(Translated by Google) This place is very good. The elephant is very cute. I used to know that I want to come to Thailand to ride an elephant, but I feel as if I have hurt it and support it, so if anyone wants to come here, I recommend you to follow it. Play it, it’s fun and it’s protecting them. The price is just right...
