Nice modern hut. It has three cookers each with two burners. Views are spectacular.

Great little hut with majestic views. Running water, gas and pots pans provided. Lights kept cutting out at night so had to resort to using torches, gave up and went to bed. Toilets are getting pretty full and a bit brutal.

One of the best huts I've stayed in, electric lighting & plumber in gas. Luxury!

Has got to be one of the most beautiful huts - out of many - in New Zealand! Incredible terrace area overlooking the Hairaki Gulf is the highlight for sunsets, and night skies are excellent as elsewhere on Aotea. Facilities are also good - no need to bring your own stove or pots or cutlery which is a bonus! Depending on your fitness it’s an easy couple of hours or so walk to the hot springs, or less to the next hut on the Aotea track. Worth visiting on its own for a night if you don’t have time for the whole track!

A very nice doc managed hut with multiple walks running through it. The view from the hut is really beautiful, and it's only a short walk form some nice views of other parts of the island.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Awesome sanctuary. A nice and relaxing walk through the bush with plenty of birdlife and nature to see. Well worth a trip, especially for the Kauri suspension bridge and viewing platform.

πŸ‘ Easy, nice walk to the hot springs. Springs are natural, not curated and not big. 6 people max in the main area of the stream. Take care-it is a geothermal spring so temperatures are not moderated and can get VERY hot.
