Visited this place for the first time last weekend.. we had chicken Kebab and chicken samosa combo for lunch and baklava’s .. the person who took the order patiently explained the food items they have and helped with the order.. Both chicken samosa and kebab were tasty.. Will come back to try other items.. :)

Stopped in this afternoon, my first time, on a recommendation from my older brother. Ordered the following for take home: falafel, Hummus, spinach and feta pie, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, and two types of baklava. Was very impressed, everything I ordered was delicious. My favorites are the baba ghanoush and spinach and feta pie, tabouleh, and the baklava. Baba ghanoush had a deep lovely flavor. The tabouleh was fresh and bright and one of the best I have had. The baklava, awesome, just come try some for yourself and see! I will be back for more.

We visit there as much as we can for we live over an hour away. We placed an order for pickup and noticed that when we got home, the quantity of food has fallen off and the price has really gone up. I don’t mind paying more but don’t cut back on the amount or size of your product. It use to be a pleasure to make the trip but I’ll think twice before we go back.

Mediterranean Bakery is an essential Richmond restaurant and easily makes the best baba ghanoush I’ve had - I’ve served it as catering at house parties and this has always been the consensus without exception. The gentle smokiness of the eggplant is perfect. Moreover, all of their fatayer are excellent. I’m especially fond of the spinach fatayer; it’s so savory and brightly acidic that even non-vegetarians who are accustomed to eating meat at every meal are content. Of course, the beef and feta fatayer are wonderful too. But what I most admire about Mediterranean Bakery are the owners and employees. I once made a mistake with the date on an online catering order for 20+ and only found out upon arrival. Everyone calmly helped us come up with a solution and miraculously were able to still serve everything with no prep time. And if that wasn’t enough, the shop has a lot of products that are hard to find elsewhere.

The quality of the food has really went downhill in last 2 years. I was a huge fan but after my last couple of visits, I will probably not return. Ordered a chicken shawarma that barely had tahini on it & the chicken was shredded, which I’ve never seen before. The chicken kebob had two pieces of meat. Not sure what happened here, but they need to get back the caliber of cooks they had 3-4 years ago. Service isn’t great either.

This is hands down the very best Mediterranean food I have eaten anywhere in Virginia. I will beat down whomever disagrees 😜! I have not tasted Kibe prepared so close to my mom's that it brought tears to my eyes. Everything was freshly made and delectable. The beauty of eating many of their dishes, is that they are not bad for you. We're so addicted to the food that I have given up taco's for a few days while I nom nom Mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine. Don't sleep on the Med Bakery! I regret not going sooner!

I bought lamb and it looked fine as I saw good meat on the surface of the packet, but when I got home and opened the package, behind the front row of meat, there were all bones with literally no meat! I would never buy meet from this store again. It’s not moral to sell products with this high price and this quality.

5 out of 5 food and service! My wife and I moved from LA to the RVA area, and we’ve looking for authentic Mediterranean food and we found it! The baklava was the best I’ve ever had!

Great selection of goods, awesome staff and their hot foods and other cold hummus/ to go options are all amazing. I love their pita chips and during my last trip, they were making a fresh batch. They were so nice accommodating and gave me a bag of the fresh batch bagged right in front of me. They made my day!

This place is so charming! It is filled with every sort of Arab food. Desserts, drinks, snacks, and so much more. I came here only twice but it's already my personal favorite store. The customer service is great and even if it's busy they still handle it so well. The desserts they offer at deli is mouth-watering!! I tried the cashew sweet and it was so good! If you love Arab food, or just want to explore another culture, definitely visit this place, it wouldn't be your last visit 😉

They have some good food options at the front of their bakery/ deli. From triangle shaped patties filled with cheese, meat or veggies, to rice, shish kabobs, pizzas and more. Decided to get a veggie covered pizza just as it came out. Veggie pizza had a generous amount of veggies on it and great tasting cheese. It was surprisingly tasty. I also like their selection of sweets in the deli. They have this tasty chocolate covered jelly candy that is yummy. It’s called ‘elit dark chocolate covered sour cherry visne.’ If you want to try a Mediterranean deli that has a pretty nice selection of prepared food for takeout, to snacks, juice, soda and dry goods— this place is worth checking out.

Hurry up and get here! Everything is excellent. The Feta is high quality, the olive oil is delicious, the prepared food is delicious. Definitely make an effort to stop at this place. Try the Arabic Salad. It does not disappoint.

This place is always a joy to visit. Well stocked and authentic selection of Arabic and middle eastern groceries. The deli selection is great and food is tasty. No place to eat inside at this time but picnic tables have been set up outside. This is my go to for Lebanese and middle eastern ingredients and food needs. Been a customer sporadically over 20 years and they haven’t disappointed yet.

I've been a huge fan of this deli for several years. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Their lentil soup is my ultimate, healthy comfort food.

Very helpful and polite staff, and a great variety of products and items to choose from. Visited a couple of times - among other things, purchased some yummy homemade grape leaves; last time came in looking for halva - was helped by a very friendly employee and purchased halva bars (chocolate covered and vanilla - of course, had to get one of each). We will definitely be back!

Three of us enjoyed lunch at a picnic table. After our meal, we visited the market and spent a small fortune on loose tea, stuffed grape leaves, olives, couscous, and several other items we’ll be enjoying for many weeks.

Excellent place to pick up fresh feta, hummus, pita bread and a wide assortment of Mediterranean grocery items (canned and packaged foods, dried fruit snacks, etc). Be sure and pick up a toasty warm beef feta fettayer (like a cross between a hand pie and a turnover) from the hot food deli counter while you are there!

Very helpful and kind people. I ordered a falafel and if this is authentic Mediterranean food then I no longer like this cuisine. The falafel was extremely dry and falafel balls didn’t look fresh either. The price point is good but definitely not worth the money they ask for.

Tasty Mediterranean baked treats. Savory dishes are well-spiced with interesting flavors. There is a good-sized market with a lot of Mediterranean food.

They are the absolute best of the best. I miss being able to eat there. They are using the space for retail. Wish they could carve out a small space for a table to eat there. I will note their prices have skyrocketed. That limits how often I can shop there.

Good food and service. The shawarma and baba ghanoush were highlights for me. The market carries a lot of unique products and halal meats. It's worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

The owner, Bassam, kept the store open late just so that my friend and I could get some food. He was very pleasant and let us try their FANTASTIC chips! I only got a salad but if their other food is anything like what I tried I'm sure it's out of this world! Must try!

I get my middle eastern ingredients here and only here. They have fantastic grape leaves in the deli that are my favorite. Things are always fresh and of high quality. The hot food is so good it sells out quickly, but that means you can count on it being fresh and not sitting under heat lamps looking sad. Thank you for sharing your talents and culture!

They have delicious pastries and a good variety of grocery items including nougats which I love. I bought some fresh pastries and 2 baked items stuffed with meats. They’re great but I was charged 2 extra items. The woman might have made a simple error.

Family owned and incredible food. From the prepared food to the grab and go dips and salads to the market that showcases specialty items you can’t find in a regular grocery. I love this place. Plus the famous “crack pita chips”…a true culinary treat!

Great spot for all the things you need. Great baked goods, the green beans were as good as anywhere. The stuffed grape leaves were amazing. Grab a little or grab a lot. You won't be disappointed.
