Great place for kids. The interior had small exhibits and helpful staff, and the exterior had a kind of small play area. There was a classroom building for special events too. Plenty of stone paver areas for eating and relaxing, and proximity to nearby trails (see map) was definitely a plus. Beautiful in the fall. Only negative here was maintenance, paint was peeling, several pavers (including from doners) had popped up. And honestly adding a cafe would not be a crazy thing to do here.

Very beautiful and peaceful. Bring bug repellent or else you'll get carried away by the bugs. Right trail has steps. Left side has more rolling slopes. Both good for walking. Left side better for a job. Front has small kids area. Pet friendly.

Hemlock Bluffs is a nice nature preserve that's pretty detached from all the development in the area. Although the trails are very well maintained, there may be sections that can be strenuous depending on your health particularly near the Swift Creek loop. They offer many activities geared for all ages also.

Quaint little nature center hidden in the heart of eastern Cary, near Waverly Place. Trails are beautiful and feature unique vegetation/foliage for the area, along with elevation changes for those looking for a moderate challenge.

The nature center building at Hemlock Bluffs is small, with only a few interactive indoor exhibits. However, outside you will find a water garden, a reuse garden, a children's garden, a natural play space, a courtyard showcasing native plants, and of course several miles of well maintained trails through the nature preserve. The nature programs are excellent and take place in the indoor classroom or outdoor classroom, with excursions to the various gardens and trails. Classes are booked through Town of Cary Parks and Recreation. This is also a great spot to walk dogs. PoGo: one gym & 4 pokestop

Did the Chestnut Oak Loop Trail with overlooks. Wide mulched trail great for conversation and sightseeing. Easy stroll with a few gentle ups and downs. A treasure here in busy Cary NC.

Love this park. They have great trails to walk. Love that it's not a flat trail, they stairs, hills and in the summer months all the leaves cover the sun. So while it is humid, there is not tons of sun beating down on you.

Pleasant, well maintained trail and a connection to climate change and biodiversity.

Nice nature preserve. Well done walking paths and several overlooks, I think 4. There are no great views from the overlooks, since there are trees blocking the views. But I think that is intentional, since this place is essentially untouched other than the trail system.
