This was our favorite pizza joint for years, but it was just bought out by new ownership. We tried it last night and they have changed nearly everything about the pizza ingredients, all for the worse. They have moved to jarred/pickled veggies on the Spicy Honey, which is an unforgivable sin in fresh pizza prep. They also changed the sausage (it's no longer crumbled or spicy) and the crust is now tasteless instead of delicious. They changed what amounted to the entire pizza, and it was terrible. We also bought some garlic knots and were given what looked like vodka sauce for dipping instead of the amazing marinara sauce that Veritas used to provide despite us requesting marinara. The new sauce was not good or recommended. All of these changes are a huge fail on the part of the new ownership. We will not be going back, and this is a sad loss of what used to be an amazing pizza place for the Town of Cary.

Update: Came here after the second management change. Still not as good as the original. The crust is dense and tastes flat. No crescendo like before. Cracker crust from not a long enough ferment is ever present. I will say they got the toppings in netter ratio. This time we got the Nashville Hot and I'm glad we did as the crust absorbed the majority of moisture. The Tikka would have been like chalk. Old: Been coming here every 2 weeks since moving here. Alternating between the Nashville Hot and Tikka Masala each time we came. Not sure why they changed the dough but its crackery, dry, and disappointing now. This is our first time going after the "ownership" change and will give them another chance in a few weeks. Just diaapointing as this was one of the few places with a good non-commercial style crust.

*Update* We gave this spot another try tonight after we found out they were under the newer, 2nd new management. We had the nashville hot pizza which was definitely better with more toppings than the 1st management change. The pizza crust, however, is still not good and is still cracker crust. ------‐------- This has been our go-to spot since we moved to the area a little over a year ago. We would consistently get the chicken Tikka or nashville hot chicken pizza. Looks like the ownership changed the crust and now it's cracker crust and dry, which has ruined the pizza. The toppings are decent but ultimately need to find a new place now. Sucks because this is the closest we had gotten to NY/CT pizza here. Hope to see some changes in the dough quality to consider coming back.

I have been to a lot pizza restaurants in the Cary/Raleigh area and can confidently say that this is the best pizza place in town. I’ve been coming here every week for almost 6 months and have tried nearly all of their menu items. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu! Everything is delicious. Their subs, calzones, Stromboli's, garlic knots, garlic bread, and of course their pizza is absolutely fantastic. The staff is also incredibly friendly and the service is always top notch. Steve, the owner, is the man! Can’t recommend Veritas enough!

Me and my friend Rob finished playing tennis and decided to pick up ceviche pizza from Pizza Veritas to take to the cabana. This was the best pizza I had in my entire life.

I heard Rob Smith, my favorite ceviche connoisseur, shout out Pizzeria Veritas at his last tennis match so I absolutely had to try it. PIZZARIA VERITAS DID NOT DISAPPOINT-- (unlike Crenshaw) and is hands down the best new Veritas of all time. Greatest, most uplifting golden crust I've ever experienced and the atmosphere can only be described as cabana-style Miami, circa 2012 before the world lost its mind. Will be back, over and over and over. Edit: in other reviews I've noted the owners did not enforce the mask mandates and upset some c0mmies. In light of this information I will be having Pizzaria Veritas cater my wedding. Based, positively freedom focused and just gained a loyal customer for life.

A hidden gem! Today was my first time visiting Pizzeria Veritas in Cary, NC and I was very pleased. First off, the atmosphere was very chill and the energy was very welcoming. The person who helped us was super helpful and nice which was very appreciated since this was our first time! They have very good prices and they had some good deals. We got the #3 deal which was an 18" cheese pizza, 6 garlic knots, and a 2 liter drink for $22.99 (we dined in so instead of the 2 liter drink, we got two refillable fountain drinks). This was more than enough for the two of us and it was delicious. The employee was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed as well. As for the food, the garlic knots were done quickly and they were very tasty. The sauce for them was a bit thick and chunky and I usually prefer lighter, thinner sauces, but my boyfriend really likes thicker sauces and he loved this one. The pizza was very delicious! We settled on a classic cheese pizza since it was National Pizza day and didn't opt for added toppings. The pizza sauce was very thin and light which was a nice surprise for me. The crust was also perfectly baked and a little bit crunchy which is how I like it. The proportions of cheese to sauce to crust was perfect and I really liked the thinness of the pizza. Overall 10/10 food and even better service. Will be coming back to try more soon!

First time here and I have to say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ordered a classic cheese, a chicken ranch and a classic cheese with onions, green peppers, ham and tomatoes. All three were great. Slight crisp to the crust, not greasy, and light. Busting with flavor. We had lots to take home. Try it out.

I come here every single week. The food is incredible!!! And the customer service is top notch. As I sit here enjoying my dinner…I’m watching customer after customer come in to pick up dinner to feed their families…and literally watching the owner greet every single person as they walk through the door as if they are long time friends. It’s refreshing to see how welcoming, helpful, and grateful they are to their customers. You gotta come by for their lunch special and the grandmas pizza on wed and thursdays!!! See ya next week guys!!!

I’m visiting the Cary area for two nights for work and a pizza craving hit me. I almost passed on Pizzeria Veritas, given the recent complaints from old fans post management changes. I’m sure glad I didn’t. For a pickup order, the pizza was ready ahead of time and piping hot. Every bite of the massive amount of toppings on the supreme pizza were cooked through and delicious. Even with the heavy toppings, the undercarriage held its own and had a solid crunch. I really enjoyed the buttery taste on the crispy crust. If I were local, I can’t see how this wouldn’t be my go-to pizza joint. My lone critique would be the sauce quantity was a little light, but that’s just for my taste. Don’t let the recent reviews deter you, Pizzeria Veritas is the truth.

We love Pizzeria Veritas. They offer the best pie in the area. We have lived many places around the country and Veritas has consistently amazing pizza. The specials can’t be beat and are priced so reasonably! The two lunch slices are huge and I can never finish it all. My kids love the garlic knots and the dinner special is a massive hit in our house for busy nights when we order take out. The staff and owner are top notch and offer great customer service. Veritas is a great spot that is a bit nostalgic to me, it reminds me of the pizza joints I grew up going to outside of Philadelphia. Go check it out, It can’t be beat!

Nice place, nice people, good price, vibe-y music. <$18... 14" pizza w mushrooms and black olives. I liked the thin but chewy crust with a super thin crisp layer on the bottom. Something about the cheese was initially off-putting, I can only think "slightly sour" describes it best. The toppings were plentiful. Ready in <20min @2pm ish Wed. If it were closer to my home, I'd have it on my re-visit list, but I'm not likely to drive to get it

The atmosphere is very chill. The pizzas crust was absolutely amazing. You will eat the entire pizza I promise. The flavors were very robust and authentic. My new NY pizza 🍕 go to. The spaghetti 🍝 sauce 👌. Ranchero and chicken tikka was the bomb.com

Everything it’s just the BEST!! We just came all the way from SC to enjoy their awesome food and service. I always get greeted when I come in by Mike and Steve, the owners and they make feel like home!! It’s always so good to come back. Absolutely everything it’s so worthy, fresh and they have great quality for all the ingredients. My favorites are garlic bread, baked ziti, calzone, margherita, bbq chicken, Mediterranean and the chicken tikka!! I can keep listing stuff non stop, you gotta come and give them a visit, you’re never gonna have what you get here anywhere else.

My wife and I moved from NY to the Cary area a couple of weeks ago. We have tried a bunch of pizza places in the area and they were ok, but this one takes the cake! The closest pizza there is to real NY style pizza. Great menu with some unique pizza options. Can’t wait to try a bunch of other menu items soon! 5 stars.

Best pizza in area. Owner and staff are the nicest people, always welcome us when we come in, and they always remember us! Great deals, massive slices and as a western New Yorker they have char and cup pepperoni! Good music and ambiance. Can't recommend enough !

This is our favorite pizza place in the area. The specialty pizzas are so good and fun. We're consistently conflicted between which to order; the Nashville chicken or Spicy Honey. Whichever pizza you order, you should compliment it with the knots. They're the best we've ever had.

Very Friendly and GREAT customer service. I ordered a Meatball Sub. It was just a little too spicy for me. Nothing was wring with it at all. They offered me another sub. We also got a pizza that was phenomenal. Will definitely be back. Thank you Pizza Veritas!

Finally! I’ve been searching for elite pizza in the triangle ever since November 2019, and I finally found it at Pizzeria Veritas. Being from New Jersey, we take our pizza seriously. Maybe we’re too harsh, but we know pizza! This pizza place is INCREDIBLE! Each bite reminds me of my northern roots. So far I’ve only had their plain pizzas, but it was 11/10, and I can’t wait to try some of their speciality pizzas in the near future. Would also like to say that the owner was incredibly kind and remembered me. The rest of the staff is also awesome. So not only do you get top quality pizza, but you also get top quality customer service. It might be a bit of a drive from parts of the triangle, but it’s so worth it. This local business deserves every bit of love and praise, and I hope many in our community continue to support it!

First off, I’ve been wanting to go here for over a year but we live in Clayton and finding the time has been hard. But today we drove the 35 minutes to get good pizza and we were blown away. I grew up in North Jersey right outside of NYC, and the pizza in NC is generally trash (sorry if I offend haha) so driving 35 minutes for legit pizza was worth it to us. We got 2 pizzas, 1 with their homeade gluten free crust and they did not miss a beat! 100% best pizza in Raleigh and surrounding areas.

This is our favorite pizza place of ALL TIME! The service is always amazing and the pizza is always fresh. Our go to order is the #3 family special that comes with an 18” pizza, 6 garlic knots, AND a 2L for ONLY $20. You seriously won’t regret visiting this family owned pizza joint. Be sure to get there early because they are ALWAYS jumping with call-in orders. We LOVE Pizzeria Veritas.

This used to be the best pizza in the triangle. Under the current ownership, the experience has become mediocre, but you can see that the staff is doing their best to improve. The pizza could use a little more sauce, and the crust could use a little more salt in the dough. Other than that, it is fine. The atmosphere is also rather bland. I wish the best for the staff and hope they can bring back Pizzeria Veritas as the best pizza in the triangle.

It’s been a while since we visited this pizza place and 👍 man! I can’t say how much we enjoyed the pizza, pasta and veal parmigiana. This was the closest to the New York pizza I’ve found in this area. My family couldn’t stop talking about it. Thanks for the wonderful food and service!
