I came from Fiji to Samoa on 19th June, 2023 for Business Meetings. I checked in Lava Hotel for 8 days and service provided was Pathetic. Stale bread and fruits was served everyday. Housekeeping not done till 4pm. No water bottles, tea, coffee provided. I got meetings with some high profile Minsitry which i hosted in Lava Hotel. Water leaking from Air con and zip of bags found open when we came back Hotel. Ordered drinks took 1 hour and for lunch and dinner they don't have half of thing from menu. Spent $10,000 for 3 people but not worth at all. Poor management with poor service. Complained many times on reception about service but no action was taken. Surely not coming back again.

After arriving at late notice, the team at the Lava Hotel looked after our group very well and we're very accommodating to our needs. My room was very nice, the pool pleasant and the food and coffee was good too. Some more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu would be a good addition, but would recommend this place overall.

Location wise, this place is awesome and convenient. Service was average. I left my charger here and came back for it, they only gave me the wire with no adapter and said there was no adapter. Ladies in the front said they would look for it, came back a few days later as requested and still nothing. Also, When we checked in around 1pm, we were never told there was a scheduled dinner, we came down to have dinner and was told they were fully booked. Overall, service and communication could improve. I won't stay here again.

Had a family luncheon here of about 30 people. The food was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. No complaints. A great place to meet up with friends. Unfortunately I only stayed here for 1 night and spent the rest of my stay at a nearby hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel. My room was great and had everything that I needed.

The Lava Hotel staff were exceptional, so friendly, and very helpful from the moment you check-in. The rooms were comfortable and always clean. Loved the buffet set up for Breakfast, worked well. My family has returned for this second trip in 2months, and will be back again soon - Thank you Benito, Peter, David, Thomas, and Ruth for making our stay a pleasure.

Lovely facilities. Friendly staff, bar staff are great. Few teething issues with hospitality services but all round good hotel. Check the room bill carefully for any food or drinks provided. Daily service rooms, Good TV coverage.

Had our last family dinner here before we flew back to NZ. Such a pretty hotel, nice pool, lovely service, friendly waiter and the food was just too good. Yum and delicious, thank you.

Nice ambiance but needs improvement on service and quality food. It was good to try for first time ourselves and staff was smiley but definitely can use some service skills. Once dishes improve and service, this place will be rockin!

The notable service by the beautifully friendly and well received team from the reception to the bar to the pool & room service was so gracious and warming, providing to our every request promptly and efficiently. THANK U SAMA! Who serviced our table of 20 during the fiafia night, alongside other team, our Cocktail barmen who’s name I unfortunately cannot recall (kept them coming 🫶🏽🙏🏾🔥🍹🫠😵😵‍💫🤣) PIKA at reception so kind and friendly. And TO’OA managing our breakfast buffet!!(Keep up the beautiful smile and friendly service and you will indeed take the hospitality industry by storm TO’OA!) We stayed 9 nights at the Lava Hotel and were disappointed. Had to wear ear plugs every night due to the noise in the hotel. Poorly designed hotel with the guest rooms facing the restaurant, bar and lobby. Live entertainment went to 11.00pm on Friday night even though we were told it would finish at 10.00pm. We had to get up at 3.30am for early flight. No consideration at all for hotel guests. Seems to be a popular drinking hole for locals and that is how it seems to be run. Hotel is only 3 years old but already needs refurbished. Stained and worn furniture in lobby and restaurant. Cleaning needs to be done in these areas. Grubby. No outdoor furniture at all around the pool.

I love the spacious room and place but the housekeeping services made me a bit annoyed. I got there on Saturday afternoon (21.10.2023) and stayed until the morning of 26th of October 2023. I got a late payment due to funding but pulled it off on Monday (23.10.2023) evening after my work. My room was not cleaned on Monday and there were no bottles of water and milk (complimentary items). The following day up to Wednesday my room was clean but again no drinks. A bit disappointed because of these incidents though people are nice here. They just need to improve their housekeeping services though.

Bathroom had bugs in it, was literally bug infested. The food they served was flavoursome but they left a bone in one of my chicken wraps that almost broke my tooth which they tried to amend. Terrible at cleaning rooms, they don’t clean them properly, and they don’t leave any fresh towels or toilet paper- we had to go down and ask every time. There was a leak in our room that left a puddle on the floor all the time. I left my washing with them and all of my white clothes have been stained red, they tried to fix it but now my white clothes are brown and beige and my bathers have literally been ruined because they got melted. When they returned the clothes, they also mixed them up so we had someone else’s clothes in ours. They wouldn’t even do a refund which we would’ve put towards replacing the ruined clothes. You’d think they’d know how to wash white clothes when they know how to keep the sheets and towels white. Other than that most of the staff were nice, just wish they put a bit more thought into the service they are offering customers, very disappointed.

My sisters and I stayed here 3 nights, It is definitely a comfortable hotel, clean and modern, great location and the staff were super friendly. I will highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thanks Petti and the team for the awesome hospitality and service.

Service is Great. Food is fresh and flavoursome. Great entertainment The pics are different rooms, both advertised as ocean view. Highly disappointed. Aircon had mould in it room was must, mould on the ceiling Left with an itchy throat.

I stayed here last week with a team from nz for the teuila tag tournament and we were welcomed with excellent service. The staff were friendly and always had a smile on their face. The service everyday was the same if not better each day. They catered to us as much as they could. The rooms were always the best coming back to after a long hot day. The food was good and I didn’t wait too long for it to come out. Location was very close to the town centre and just a walk away. Definitely a place to go to for future visits to Samoa.
