Absolutely delicious food and outstanding customer service. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Samoa. If you’re a wine lover this is probably one of the few places on the island that offer a wide selections of wines both by the bottle and glass. I’d recommend whatever the fish of the day is and any other item on the menu that would appear to have fresh local produce… as you probably wouldn’t find anything on the island that’s fresher. Love, love, love - make sure you visit!

Simply some of the best foods I have ever had! We had duck, fish, palusami ravioli and creme brulee. The flavours and textures were divine. If you only go to one restaurant in Samoa let this be that one.

Too many high end restaurants have too many sticks you know where but this place feels like a 3 Michelin Star home. Elegant, but comfortable. Precise food execution, but keeps the creativity down to earth...no molecules here thank god. The …

The food was good, but not *really* good. Very expensive for Samoa, so I had very high expectations.

The best meals we have had so far. The double baked duck was heavenly, the lemon pepper perch was so juicy, it just melted in our mouth. And then the ginger creme brulee... There cant be any better finish than this. If you are in Apia, dont think twice, visit them now. by the way the service is fantastic and they don't charge for it 😀

Overpriced - and honestly I didn't enjoy the food either of the two times I ate here. Not a particularly nice setting right opposite the markets either.

Beautiful place with beautiful food and a huge selection of wines. I had the palusami ravioli which was a unique experience, the prawns which were just divine and for dessert the soft meringue roulade and that was absolutely beautiful. If you love fine dining this is the place to go to awaken your taste buds

Hands down BEST restaurant in Apia. I came to this restaurant with a few friends. Having heard that this restaurant was run by an Australian chef I was pretty keen to book and check it out. We all left with big smiles on our faces and a full belly, after having such high quality food, and service for a very reasonable price. I personally recommend finishing your meal with the best tasting sticky date pudding I have ever had. Such a treat and reminded me of home. Thank you for having us! Next time I am in Apia I would love to dine here again.

We had gone as it rated well and had a reasonable number of seafood dishes to choose from especially Tuna and Masi Masi plus a good wine selection. We had high expectations as is not cheap, so very disappointed that was no TUNA or Masi Masi at all , wine list tho extensive very limited by the glass. Our food was average at best and the pawn pasta was a one dimensional tomato cream sauce with overcooked fettuccine and 6 prawns for 60 tala ,the cauliflower and broccoli side dish was overcooked the broccoli had gone that dull green.Had been to Paddles resturant 2 days before and had a stunning meal best pasta and Oka dish so if you have a choice choose Paddles

We walked past this wee place and thought we would give it a try and I am so glad we did. The service was pure class, the restaurant had a lovely romantic feel to it and the food was so incredible. I just wish I had more room I my belly as I didn't want any off my dishes to end. Would deffinatly go back.

This is a fantastic unassuming restaurant. We make a point of visiting here every time we are in Samoa - Which is regular. The meals are consistently of an exceptional standard and consist predominately of local ingredients. Everything is made in house [from the awesome bread - I wanted a whole loaf but forgot to order ahead! - dam the carbs! - through to the exquisite ice cream] and it shows. Adding to the experience are the absolutely friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. A brilliant place -you have to try it at least once.

Amazing!!! The food is exquisite, I can't say enough and the staff is awesome, personable, friendly and well versed with the menu and suggestions. A must on your travel here! I can't believe you've existed for 18 years and last night was my first time meeting you, Tatau.

Bill and the team at Bistro Tatau hosted my husband's 60th birthday dinner. Bill and I became friends as I anxiously emailed from NZ, enquiring about whether they could cater for our special dietary requirements. They could ... what's more, they offered options and what's more, our vegan and vegetarian loved them! Unexpectedly, dessert was brought out with candles and singing. So special ... love this place!

Let me start by saying I don’t typically take the time to review a place. However, our experience at Bistro Tatau was so wonderful that I felt the need to this time. My husband, mother, and myself had been walking around town and the market most of the morning. We were looking for a real restaurant to have lunch and drinks. I spotted an unassuming restaurant across the street, and off we went. From the moment we walked in the door, it was an awesome experience! No detail was left out, from the beautiful Teuila flowers at the entrance, down the the himalayan salt and pepper bowls on the table. We had a question about the John Dory fish, as we were unfamiliar with it. Our server, who was new, told that they were out of it. No biggie we were just curious anyways. Once we ordered and were enjoying our drinks, the owner, Bill came over and explained the story of the John Dory to us. We found Bill to be very congenial, and enjoyed our conversation. We were having such a great experience, we decided to extend it by having dessert. As with everything else, it was top notch and so delicious! We believe the price to be extremely reasonable for the service and quality, and will not hesitate to go again should we get the chance to travel back to Samoa!! Thanks Bill, for a memorial experience! We wish the best for you and your place, and hope to see you again! Cheers!

(Translated by Google) By chance we were at Tatau for lunch and had an unbelievably good lunch, so we had two more evenings there. We also chose the Tatau for our last night in Apia, as the service was always very friendly and accommodating and the food is just amazing !!! Anyone who comes to Apia, should have eaten in the bistro Tatau, because as good fish as there, you will hardly find in Apia. We would eat there anytime again and say thanks again for the wonderful evenings !!!!!! The Tatau will remain one of our highlights from our Samoa vacation.
