Even though it was very busy when we visited, nothing was too much for the staff. I was greeted by a lovely lady with glasses who took us to our table shortly after our booking. Then another young lady, short with red hair asked us if we were okay and if we needed any drinks. The other lady with the glasses did say she was coming back but the young, short lady served us anyway. She was exceptional. Very lovely. Very kind and very caring. Nothing was too much for her. The lady at the meat station was very lovely too. She gave us a generous amount of meat and had a very pleasant smile on her face. Overall, it has been the best visit so far and I would definatley recommend this particular Toby Carvery.

Had two bad experiences now, won't be coming again. Our server was lovely, a girl with a tattoo sleeve and black hair can't fault her at all. Food took ages, yorkies were dry and crumbly. The manager sat us down literally on his phone telling us he's short staffed, took our drink order (we waited 30 minutes) and about four other tables that came in after us had their drinks. And he seemed to be putting everything on his staff who were clearly under pressure and stressed.

Everytime I come here I am not disappointed. Lovely manager. Lovely waiters, and professional carvers! Every meal is an absolute treat and worth the money. I also want to thank Ellie who took care of us on are last visit. Our comfort and stay was at her best interest and her manners are divine. She will go far in life with that attitude.

As the entrance announces... Welcome to the home of roast. Really tender turkey & delicious roast beef. Plenty of vegs to pick and repeat if you wish! Affordable prices. I'm not sure if it's dog friendly. I didn't see any dog around.

Food was nice & the music is at the right level. But compared to previous times I've been, the staff weren't up to scratch. The person who I asked for help from, seemed more interested in chatting to a staff member who had just finished work. Also nobody seems to be keeping an eye on customers who were waiting for a carvery, when the chefs in the kitchen. It's a shame coz other times the staff's been spot on.

Had a delicious 'Christmas carvery'. Really tender pork and turkey, tons of veggies and giant Yorkshire pudding! Ice cream Sundae was scrummy too. Great service, especially James, who was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and we will come back again. Thanks :o)

Called in this evening with family, and was greeted by a young lady called Kellie. I am disabled and on a mobility scooter and this young lady was so kind, incredibly helpful and had a lovely warm personality. She found a spot where I could park my scooter, made sure I was seated comfortably and then got my drink for me, then when we had our meals ensured everyone was happy and our meals were good, which they were. Her service made my visit worthwhile! Please pass on my utmost thanks to her and thank you all for a pleasant dining experience. Kellie is exemplary, a total asset to your business.

I met up with friend for a catch up, due to the weather it was very quiet. So mostly a nice relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the carvery but it looked dried up and even burnt on some dishes. It had obviously been on display for a long time and put you off a great many dishes. The only fresh looking veg was the peas which I don't like. Both me and my friend ended up leaving things on our plates and didn't put as much on the plate as we usually would. In there defence the gamon was perfect and surprisingly so we're the roast potatoes.

Absolutely poor service !! I was waiting 15 minutes before someone come over and took my drinks order, once the order was placed we waited another 10 minutes for the drinks to come owith an attitude by the member of staff with no manners at all not even a thank you come out of her mouth!! Then another 5 minutes of waiting just for the member of staff to come out and serve the carvery to us !! So that’s 30 minutes even before I tasted the dry meat and hard vegetables By the looks of it one of the waiters is sitting people down and saying someone will be over to take drinks and then you never see her again as a young girl seems like she is running around doing absolutely everything , I think that needs actioning Never again absolutely disappointed

I was really disappointed with our Sunday lunch on 21st August! Every time we have visited previously the food has been excellent! This time the beef and ham were very fatty and of minimal portion size. The carrots and cabbage were undercooked. The only vegetables that had any real taste were the roast potatoes. I can only reiterate my complete disappointment!

The food itself is tasty, however, certain members of staff let the side down. No service with a smile - a sharp reply when asked about the food. Asked for Yorkshire puds/pigs in blankets and were told it would be brought to our table - it was, after we finished our meal. A positive attitude makes a huge difference and better customer experience.

The carvery meat and vegetables were excellent, well cooked and well presented. We all really enjoyed our early mother's day meal. Just a little lacking in atmosphere but definitely will go again.

We visited here recently, we had a long wait in the queue for food (25 mins) for a very disappointing meal, this was after being stood at the door for 10 mins dispite being booked in. I went large only to be told there were no sausages, I had to practically beg for meat, half the veg was missing, utensils were dirty, greasy and the famous gravy was non-existent. The meal was totally bland, 1 half was look warm and the other half cold. The young fella serving was clearly fed up bless him, and I'm not surprised. Not a very nice experience on a whole. Money before quality!!! Look after your staffs well being 🙏.

We came here for two of my brothers birthdays on a Sunday evening. James made this occasion very special and we had an amazing night. Great food, even better service and a night to remember!

Entered the restaurant for my birthday meal was welcomed by Ben who was lovely and helpful immediately noticed my badge and said happy birthday to me. The food was amazing and the service from waitress maddy was amazing and lovely. I will definitely be returning 10/10 service and food. There was also a beautiful sausage dog in the restaurant and he was absolutely lovely too I wish I could of taken him home.

Bought a wowcher deal for 2 adults and 2 children, two courses. Firstly, put on a small table for 4 of us, next to a wall, which made it squashed. Carvery not as good as previous visits. The Yorkshire pudding was dry, crisp and very hard to cut. No fluffiness you'd expect. The meat (had beef, pork and gammon) was fatty and had the horrid artery holes in them. Peas were dry and hard, macaroni cheese very dry. Also the serving spoon for the mash was very hot. Had to get a few napkins to wrap around it so I could pick it up. Ordered puddings and we got 3 out of four. I waited until my family had nearly finished theirs before asking staff. Couldn't find anyone for ages, nobody around. Finally found someone and asked and he had to chase it up. Then came out with it just as my husband and son finished theirs. Not that impressed to be honest.

Visited here because it was next door to the Premier Inn where I was staying. I was really looking forward to a lovely roast dinner but sadly this wasn’t what I got. Meat was good and plentiful but the roast potatoes & parsnips were over cooked & dried out yet sitting in puddles of oil. The peas were undercooked, the carrots overcooked and shrivelled, the cauliflower cheese had only glimpsed the sauce! It was edible but only just and not what I was hoping for. Staff were nice & friendly. The walk from the car park is uneven, slippery when wet and not well lit.

Service and food was amazing. Our waitress, Holly, was kind and very helpful, another worker helped a member of my family who didn’t have his glasses read the menu. Had a lovely time, all staff were wonderful.

The lady (Kelly) who attended to us (a group of10) was a fantastic customer service person. She met every of our needs with a smile and above and beyond in ensuring our stay was eventful. We enjoyed the meals too.

Today we were travelling home and came here for a well needed, but last minute roast. The manager who greeted us was welcoming and accommodated our table of 6. All waiting staff were pleasant and helpful. The star of the show was Josh (I believe) the gent carving and serving the meat. He was the chirpy, breathe of fresh air needed. Food was lovely and this was a high quality experience.

My mum and I went on Saturday 8th July and had a really lovely meal, with excellent service from Sydnee, who was so welcoming, helpful and kind - she made the whole visit so nice for us. There's a great friendly atmosphere at the Warrington Toby Carvery, it's well worth and visit and we will definitely visit again. The food is delicious, buffet part was perfectly cooked - we were too full to try a desert, but will make sure to leave room next time we go! Highly recommended for great food and friendly staff, plus a shout out to all the super chefs!

Seems to be a lot of staff but no service? Asked for 3 drinks never got them she didn’t even apologize when we told her. Dessert cold and took 20minutes. 5 stars only for the food and the guys behind the food buffet serving us.

Good food, good price but need to be early forbade carvery, both times we visited there was no beef and limited roast pork. Service was a bit hit and miss, but i believe the staff were in training, so that was most likely why. The building looks very tired, but overall, it was nothing to stop me from going back again.

The food was OK, there was no Yorkshire Puds when we visited. A bit disappointing when you go for a Sunday roast. We both had turkey which was succulent. The venue though was tired. Decor and the carpets were in need of replacing/refurbishment. That said it can't be easy keeping them in good condition when some visitors drop food all over the place and can't be bothered picking it up. Lastly it took 3 attempts to get a drink that was in stock. Then when I paid at the end of the night I saw the first drink I ordered sat in the fridge.... when it was unavailable. 🤓 It's not somewhere we'll rush back to, to be honest.

Unfortunately the meal wasn't the greatest although the beef and Yorkshire pudding was perfect. Not a great selection of veg which was a shame, no one came to give us our bill we was waiting quite a time too, usually we enjoy our visits, we also was very cramped being extremely close to other members of the public.

The food is amazing but they cannot keep on top of demand at all. Both times that I've visited here I've ended up being up and down from my table to get whatever I had to miss. They seem to only bring out about 5 eggs at a time and the last time we visited we were a party of 9 so it was a bit of a pain. We didn't get to sit down and eat together at all!

The Staff really where caring and ensured a lady of Senior Years , my Mum was well catered for and nice to see her enjoy her meal, with no rush. Location and seating where allocated with thoughtfulness. My only feedback is the provision of a chair with arms for support lowering and rising into the seat,so as not to grab the table. Kind Regards well done

We overheard a complaint being dealt with by the Manager Mark. He handled it in an excellent manner. We found the staff (Karen) to be helpful and friendly. We did provide some feedback on site regarding the heat of the vegetables and the treacle pudding being burnt. Overall it was a pleasant visit.

  • 4/5 Leo B. 2 years ago on Google
Pretty good, good food, good service! Did notice the heat lights were on some of the serving spoons so they were a bit hot to handle. Both bowls of Tobys famous gravy were empty but they were quickly replenished. Assessible toilet was a little untidy, wet floor and tissue on the sink. But I probably just went between cleaning.

Good carvery. Great service. We went for the large carvery and got just about the right amount of meat. The standard one is too little meat, or maybe we were just unfortunate to have a carver who was mean. Does as it says on the tin. Table service will top notch.

Came at 9am on a Thursday (opens at 9am not 8am as per website) The food was fresh and the eggs soft, this makes me happy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, So a good breakfast was had by us all and for £7 each including coffee... Bargain.

Caters so well for vegans. We were served today by Hannah, who informed me all the veg is cooked without dairy and asked the kitchen to make vegan friendly mash to go with my mushroom and ale pie. Really enjoyed the meal and the service was fab.

Went to toby carvery for tea with friends yesterday and we all loved it. The food was amazing as usual and I love the atmosphere in there. The staff were really friendly and approachable and had a laugh with us. It is always clean and tidy in there & really comfortable. We always book in for Christmas Dinner every year as the atmosphere is very festive. The prices are very reasonable on everything... So happy all round 🥰

My Grandson chose Toby carvery for his birthday tea with the family. Reading some previous reviews I was a little apprehensive. However I was pleasantly surprised. Each & every one of the staff were very professional & engaging. Our server Louis was exceptional he was pleasant, friendly, informative & efficient nothing was too much trouble. The server at the carvery counter was also very friendly & professional as were the staff at the entrance. The carvery counter was kept well stocked, clean & tidy. The food was very nice & good value. Thank you
