Beautiful
detail,
friendly
staff
and
delicious
food
and
cocktails
-
a
real
treat!
However,
I
would
be
extra
cautious
or
not
recommend
for
anyone
who
suffers
with
food
allergies.
Unfortunately,
my
personal
experience
of
The
Cliff
was
affected
by
lack
of
care
and
consideration
taken
for
my
gluten
allergy.
As
always
when
dining
out,
I
had
put
a
note
on
the
booking
and
confirmed
my
allergy
as
we
sat
down
to
dine.
I
double
checked
every
time
I
ordered
a
course
to
ensure
it
was
able
to
be
prepared
and
served
gluten
free.
The
waiter
checked
and
assured
me
my
sushi
roll
was
gluten
free,
however,
a
considerable
amount
of
time
after
ordering,
I
had
to
rechoose
a
starter,
when
I
was
told
it
actually
couldn’t
be
prepared
without
gluten.
During
main
course,
I
was
served
a
Yorkshire
pudding
and
crusted
vegetables
on
my
plate,
as
the
chef
carved
our
meat
at
our
table.
I
thought
I
was
in
luck
as
it’s
very
rare
I
am
able
to
have
these
extras,
so
when
I
asked
again,
I
was
informed
they
were
not
suitable
and
I
had
to
then
wait
for
my
new
plate
to
be
brought
out.
There
were
no
gluten
free
desert
options
available,
as
the
one
they
had
had
run
out,
meaning
I
opted
for
cheese,
which
was
accompanied
by
another
gluten
free
bread
roll
rather
than
alternative
crackers.
Unfortunately,
the
above
let
down
my
overall
experience,
which
was
disappointing
for
a
restaurant
of
this
demeanour.
I
have
great
anxiety
around
eating
out,
but
incorrectly
thought
I
would
be
safe
dining
here.
I
believe
you
should
ensure
all
guests
have
a
smooth
and
enjoyable
experience.
