Came here upon a recommendation from the hotel as they serve fish (relatively unusual in Jordan) and I wanted the option of alcohol with my lunch. This place has a nice seating area out front and a small fresh fish counter. I cooled down with a beer initially, before ordering lunch with Jordanian wine. The sayadieh (fried fish on a bed of spicy rice) was good, as was the service and wine. Alcohol prices, unsurprisingly, are expensive all over Jordan, so that always bumps-up the final bill. Alcohol also attracts many tourists, but I disagree with many reviewers who suggest that prices are inflated because of the tourists. Good food, good service, and reasonable food prices. People watching with a beer was a bonus!

Beware, this is a very expensive place, with bad food. It's actually a tourist trap. We had to wait more than 30 minutes for the food and it wasn't good at all, except for the rice.

Not recommended at all!! I went there with very high expectations. The fish we ordered supposed to be very good fish when it’s grilled. The cost of it 38 Jordanian dinar. They served it in a very bad way, the way they cooked it ruined it’s taste because of the sauces was all over it!! Adding to that, it was served in pieces instead of keeping it looking good in one piece also it was raw (not cooked properly).. regarding the other plates: we didn’t eat the hummus because it’s a can hummus. The fries was bad, tasted like it have been fried many times and the portion is ridiculous (for a 5 years kid)!! We only ate the fattoush and the seafood soup which were okay. We called the manager and informed him about our feedback and how we didn’t eat the grilled fish he said ohh yes I totally and you are right and I agree with you regarding our way of cooking, but this is the restaurant’s standard and I have no say!!!!! Despite not eating dishes we paid 70 usd after the manger made a 5 usd discount👎🏻👎🏻 don’t go. The staff were polite but the food is a disappointment. Unfortunately will never go there again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed out meal. They also have an option for alcohol drinks, something not that common to find in the city.

Excellent restaurant. The service is professional and friendly. The food is excellent quality, taste and portion size and comes at "local" prices. The bathrooms are 5 star.

The waiter was nice, the cashier was flirting and later following me in the street (I was a girl alone, didn’t feel very safe). The shrimps were good, but basic dish and no extra’s, I paid 14 JOD for this meal and a water, which is pretty expensive for Jordan.

Ali baba fish restaurant located in Aqaba is a quaint little restaurant. Seating inside as well as inn the sidewalk. The staff are highly attentive and polite. It's reminiscent of little bistro cafes. Highly recommended for a nice night out.

My expectation were high since ali baba is oldest fish restaurant in aqaba and its none of the high quality and fresh fish. We chose the fish but the thing is the denis was the worst i ate in my life...the shrimps tested good but the skin were stuck with the meat for some reason. The soup was full of black pepper i could not finish it.

Delicious food especially fish sayadiyah, grilled shrimps and mixed grilled meat were all great. We had to wait maybe 15-20 mins for the food as they're very busy. It's probably a touristy place and it's comfortable and clean. We also had three drinks and kunafa and baklavas. The bill came to about 55JD for three of us with service and tax included.

You should not visit Aqaba without having a fish meal in Alibaba. I have been dining in this restaurant since I was a kid every time we visit Aqaba. Today and after nearly 10 years I am back and we just had a great meal. Try the Nagel fish grilled and the shrimps Mutaffa, all is great. Service is great and the team was helpful - for the fish it is recommended you take per kilo if you are a group of 2 or more.

The food was decent, but it didn't stand out as anything exceptional and came with a pretty hefty price tag. The ambiance of the place is more upscale compared to the other restaurants in the area. On the bright side, the service was excellent.

The food is great, the place is nice and everyone works hard for the guests. I'm sorry that I wasn't more hungry, it was very hot that day and the soup, salad and some fish were enough and delicious.

Grilled calamari, hummus and mensa with baklava and Kanata for desert served with Turkish coffee with cardamon. Don't know if it's gets more authentic than that. So delicious 😋

An absolute tourist trap, however I was pleased by the food quality. It's not the best I've tried in Jordan and is overpriced, but it's pretty good. Staff is reasonably nice, they serve alcohol and toilets are clean. If, like us, you're in a hurry and not too worried about the best value for money, give it a shot.

Great food and great service. Quick and super tasty lunch. The Indian Kebab was spicy and delicious. And get a Carakale Blonde to got with it! Very happy with my lunch choice!

The food we got was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Other customers were quite grumpy and short with the staff, not sure why. The beef didn’t look good on the stick so we avoided it and just had the chicken

Great place to eat in Aqaba. The food is delicious, portions big, excellent service. My husband enjoyed a nice jucy beefsteak and I tried fried squid. The squid was very fresh. They also have great selections of vegetable salads. The restaurant is clean and we'll maintained.

Lots to choose on the menu. We shared lamb hummus which was lovely and cheese fattair. The Sayadijha Fish dish was good.  Big portion and plenty of flavour. The mixed grill had pretty of meat and a nice charcoal cooked taste. They do also serve alcohol, we enjoyed the Petra beer and caracal. Good service and outdoor space to eat.

Loved the Sayadiah, fried fish over spiced rice - the fish was fresh and melted in the mouth. Good service and tourist friendly.

What a beautiful restaurant with pleasant wonderful staff. Sami our host gets the balance just right. Attentive but not overbearing. The food is FANTASTIC. Can't wait to go back. The seafood is cooked to perfection and everything well priced, good value for money. This place was recommended to us by a local. I had a lovely memorable time with a good friend 💕

👍👍 I have to give this a 5/5 rating because I just think the 3,9 it has now is not enough. It may not be a fair way of rating but hear me out: This is a classic Jordanian diner, usually pretty busy, with a select amount of dishes and many people bustling about. No, it’s not a fine dining place and some...
