👍👍 Had lunch here - excellent value and all the dishes were great. I think their falafels are the best I've ever found. Light, hot, crisp and perfectly seasoned. It's a simple family run business with street side seating. Locals are the main clients. Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommended! It is just OK. Nothing exceptional. Falafel and fries are so good. Tomatoes with eggs are awesome!! Foul (like other experiences here in Aqaba) didn't meet our expectations.

Perfectly executed Jordanian classics. Fatteh with meat and nuts is out of this world: fluffy, unctuous, and flavourful. Spicy rice is rich in nutmeg and cardamom. Kebabs are exquisitely spiced. Falafels are light and crispy. Tomatoes with eggs are just the way I like it: juicy and not over cooked. Lots of dips come free of charge. Quick service, decent English spoken, they even set a table for us on the pavement.

We are a tourist couple in Jordan. We were recommended this place by a local guy and it was the right choice to follow his advice. It’s a local place, don’t expect anything fancy but good food and good price. The manager spoke very good English and he was so nice. It’s behind the mosque which is a plus

Great Jordanian food! I especially liked the service. The food was served in no time and the waiter told us a lot about the food, how to eat it, with what and the ingredients. A good place for vegans. It's also not expensive.

Came here for dinner. The prices are very good value for the food you get. The food is very tasty and fresh. A lot of locals eat here which is a good sign. Would come back here again to eat. The waiter was very helpful and friendly too.

Had a good meal at Hashem Son's. An omelet with cheese, cheese filled falafels and fattah with nuts. Also the mango juice was very nice. The bread, two chilly dips and pickles and peppers were complementary. The menu has a lot of options, so we'll certainly be back for a second bite!

DELICIOUS! I took my friends so they could try Mansaf and Knafeh for the first time. They loved it. Very generous portions we all were so full sharing one plate between the 3 of us.

Great dinner spot. Many options to choose from, Chicken Liver is quite good. You can sit out on the street overlooking the Mosque and there is great atmosphere to the restaurant. Staff are very kind.

Very good food, price, and portions. The falafel was the most tastiest. There's an enclosed area with AC overlooking the mosque which was nice I spent 4 JOD with cash. I don't know if they accept card.

Interesting restaurant with local food. Many locals coming there to eat their lunch as well. I like the taste of the food but it’s way too spicy for us. All of the options where spicy except the bread 😅. Falafel was good enough. Hummus and Fattah great but not incredible. I have tried somewhere better one. Tabouleh was great!!! The portions are big for the price. In general the restaurant is value for money. Fast service, but way too fast speaking and explaining the ingredients. I would recommended if you like spicy. If not, try something else instead.

For local affordable food, look no further. The staff is polite and not pushy, quality and flavors are amazing! Fattah was a dream 😍

Haitham was super friendly and made great recommendations. Prices are good and the quality of food is amazing. If we were staying in Aqaba longer we would be going to Hashem Son’s everyday 😄

    - the service is amazing. Our waiter spoke perfect English and explained us every dish. He even walked to the supermarket next to the restaurant to get us a softdrink, that they didn’t offer! - the food is so good. Everything is good, but the falafel with cheese are the best we had in Jordan. The Fatteh is also very good. - prices are very cheap, it’s really worth it.

The food was unbelievable and the service was excellent, If you are looking for a low key, nothing fancy experience that includes some of the best foods you will have in the Middle East, go here.

The best food in Aqaba. Local dishes, full table of different dishes and sauses all perfectly prepared. Also very very cheap, 7 JOD got us more food than we could eat for 2 persons, including drinks. A Must visit to enjoy local and good food for cheap.

Extremely friendly and helpful. We ate the best dishes in Jordan for dinner and had the best coffee in the morning. If I lived in Aqaba I would eat here regularly.

Restaurant in the heart of the city. Many locals are stopping by to take away and this is a clear sign of the authenticity of the flavors. The prices are fair and service was very very polite and helpful. Food was good

We had an excellent dinner at Hashem and Son's. The service was very friendly and the waiter gave us some good recommendations. Highly recommend the stuffed falafel, hummus and the lamb kebab.

After some disappointing and some ok-but-not-overwhelming food experiences during our holiday in Jordan I picked this restaurant because I associated the name with Hashem in Amman, where you can get some amazing hummus and falafel. And although these two places are not affiliated (to my best knowledge), Hashem & Son's did not disappoint. The hummus and the falafel are great, as is the galayet bandora. The service is fast and friendly and I'd recommend this place to everyone who wants to eat some real local food.

A jewel in the center of Aqaba. If you're looking for truly local, delicious, traditional and budget friendly food this is your place. We even had dinner 2 times in one night because we wanted to eat at Hashems son again haha. Mutabal and hummus to die for.

👍👍 I have to give this a 5/5 rating because I just think the 3,9 it has now is not enough. It may not be a fair way of rating but hear me out: This is a classic Jordanian diner, usually pretty busy, with a select amount of dishes and many people bustling about. No, it’s not a fine dining place and some...
