Food in the hotel were boring and over priced (per usual). In Al Shami, the food was delicious (and the servings were huge!), impeccable service. I have tried fish, chicken and meat in my two visits and it did not disappoint!!!

This little restaurant inside an alley from market street is one i can‘t recommend you enough. The waiters are incredibly friendly and recommended to us what little dishes to combine best. All the food was pretty amazing, from the freshly baked bread to the appetizers and the barbecued meats. Everything tasted amazing. They have a an airconditioned room to sit in and a balcony with a view on the mosque and over the red sea, which i can only recommend to choose. If you are in Akaba you have to go there!

We sampled many delicious Jordanian plates and it was all amazing. Local restaurant, very friendly staff. Happy place for meat eaters and vegans alike.

The food here is absolutely great. We ordered some random menus and were enjoying it with the four of us. The view is also quite nice :) The staff was very friendly and the service was good! If you’re in town, make sure to stop by here to get some food

I went with my family for dinner here and it was amazing. We had grilled whole fish and grilled fish fillet. Grilled whole fish had amazing flavors. We don't have big appetite so didn't order starters, but the waiver brought us complementry dips and bread as we were waiting. They were busy in the evening so it can take some time to get order, but it is worth the wait.

We enjoyed this place. The food is really really good. We eat the best bred here in Jordan ! It arrived hot, done just now !

Best value for money fishing restaurant! After having seen the prices I was sceptical of the quality of the food but I can now definitely say that it is very very good… especially the fried calamari! In 3 we have ordered 5 appetisers, 4 fish main dishes and 2 cocktails each and we spent only 56 JOD!! They are always busy so If you are in Aqaba and want to try it I recommend to book a table in advance.

Very delicious food. Loved how the grilled fish was spiced. And the cold appetizers were amazing - for me the best mutabal in Jordan. The restaurant has a balcony on the first floor overlooking the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Mosque and even a sea view. Nice service. Would definitely visit again.

Delicious food and amazing service! They were very nice to us and gave us many complimentary side dishes and tea. They were very generous with the portions. We ordered 5 different types of sea food and they all were delicious. Very happy with this restaurant and would highly recommend. This is one of the best food I have had in jordan. Most other places I ate meat I felt it was dry but this was very juicy.

Very good service, the place has air conditioning, you can also sit on the balcony outside and enjoy the view. The price is good and the quality of the food is good. Try the fresh juices, they are very good, we tried lemon and mint. Cash payments only, the bank is very close to the restaurant.

I visited the place during a hot humid day in the mid of June. I had read the good recommendations on Google and spoted the place on the map. After all being oposite to the famous white mosque of Aqaba which we wanted to visit it was easy to find out. We didn't dare to seat outdoors due to the hot day and stepped up to the airconditioned scattered with fans room. We started with a lemon mint juice which was served in beer glasses!! It was cool reviving and tasteful. We ordered fried calamares, grilled fish and a fatous salad. We were offered baba ganous, pickles and tzatziki salads on the house. Pita bread was fresh and helped us wipe the salads which were mouthwatering to look at. Calamares were soft ans delicious. Fish was perfectly cooked also delicious by the taste of spices it was seasoned. We enjoyed our meal very much. At the end we savor hot tea with mint leaves. Servise was very polite and quick. Price was good but the ambience was just tolerable. I suggest one to visit the place for the nice sea food and the good service.

This restaurant was recommended by us by a lady called Bianca working for Wadi Rum Nomads, and have to say, I was not disappointed. It was the best food we had during our entire trip. Don’t be dismayed by the person in front trying to lure you in. Normally, this would put me off, bur with the good recommendation we tries it anyway. Great food and great prices. Best hummus I ever ate.

It was delicious, yet the waiter did not give me the complimentary water, as what he did to other families. After the fisherman basket, I have funny stomach for the next day, the food probably is not fresh

I stayed in Aqaba for a couple of hours and I was recommended this restaurant. Food is fresh and super delicious. Portions are adequate and all foods are homemade. I have probably had the best hummus in Jordan here!! Service is nice and helpful. The waiter wanted us to try some dips and he offered them for free Overall, good value for money restaurant. Very delicious food. It’s winter so the second floor does not have air con. Quite breezy and if you like the cold, you can sit outside on the verandah. The food is delicious, we ordered hummus after reading the good reviews and the waiter even gave us another appetizer with hummus (again), mutabel and spicy chilli tomatoes. Main dish, we ordered one chicken kebab and one grilled fish. The fish is very fresh, comes with some rice and fries, very filling indeed. The kebab was also nice, served on pita bread. Overall good service. The table behind us was kinda noisy and they were a big group of locals, so they are probably enjoying the food a lot.

We had the best meal in a very long time! Our first time in Jordan!!!! Everyone at the restaurant was so kind and gracious. The food was incredible!!!!!!! You will regret walking past this place if you want a good meal!!!!!!

Very nice food and great staff you always get something complimentary (pickles, tea, spreads, bread, sauces). We tried the shami dish and, fisherman basket, daily menu, fish soup two times, mint lemonade, everything was amazing, we went back to eat several times, has a nice terrace view to the mosque. They are super nice we asked for extra grilled tomato and onion without question and didn't have to pay extra. When in Aqaba we will go back for sure, for amazing and also great staff.

We went twice during our visit. Excellent service. First time we had the meat platter, 2nd time had fish which was my favourite. Served with salads/dips. Lemon and mint drink is nice and freebies are a lovely touch!

This place was AMAZING… you must eat here if you are in Aqaba for a few nights. My partner and I found this place to be incredibly authentic and the staff to be super friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough. We left so full because we wanted to try everything. Their fries were actually amazing too. Really impressed. Would dine again when we come back to Aqaba.

We just saw somebody wrote this place has the best hummus and we were on the “hummus trip” so we tried this restaurant, and it was heaven. Really best hummus Ive ever had. And the staff super welcoming. If you’re craving hummus, I definitely recommend you this restaurant with a nice view

Been to Al Shami Twice in the last two weeks. The last time we had the seafood platter and the garlic fish. As well as salads and drinks. We enjoyed all the food we had. Both times complementary Tea and dips. Great value as well. The service is friendly and the guys there are great! We will be back. Thank you.

Wonderful experience! We've had salads, daily dish (lamb mansaf) and grilled lamb ribs. The meats were wonderful, and the hot kishik salad was the best. Tip - ask them to grill the flat bread for a bit, if you like them crispy.

The food was super delicious, though the restaurant is not a cozy one. We just asked the waiter what he can recommend us for seafood and we got a set of traditional entrées, calamari, shrimps and dorada fish exceptionally prepared. As for drinks Lime with mint fresh. And a free local desert. Some photos are attached, except for fish, because it was so tasty that we forgot to make a photo of it. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and service! Waiter was very nice to us. One of the best price/quality ratio we experienced in Jordan. Totally recommended.
