An extremely well maintained Mosque right smack in the middle of the city of Aqaba. It's pleasant to view either day or night while walking along the beach. Regretfully we decided not to view its interior due to the clothing requirements to enter its ground.

First time I’ve been inside a mosque and it was during evening prayer so I was a little apprehensive not wanting to be disrespectful to their faith. What a pleasant experience! Debora and I kneeled in the back as the men prayed and afterward several men came over to welcome me on their way out. Amazing what you can learn when you go see for yourself. Jordan is full of kind and wonderful people.

Interesting mosque. There is no entrance fee and the guard speaks English. You can see the people to pray and understand a bit of their culture. It is very clean place and interesting architecture.

The largest mosque in Aqaba. The mosque isn’t as elaborate as other larger mosques, but if you like to visit mosques, put this one on your list. It doesn’t take long to quickly look around. The Imam is very friendly.

The most attractive mosque in town! Encircled with a manicured and peaceful garden. The interior is not rich, but I liked the soft carpets

After the call to prayer you may go inside, women must be covered and can ask for a skirt and a scarf at the main entrance. Beautiful structure with displays of arabesque.

A beautiful mosque and a place where you can sit in a cool place to relax. A variety of flowers and trees pleases.

The mosque lies within the city center and can easily stand out with it's unique design and shinny white color. It has a larger than usual square than most mosques in Jourdan and it opens to public around prayers times.

Really recommend visiting this Mosque. The staff at the gate provides us hijab because we were not properly dressed ( women need to cover their head, shoulder and arms). Take off your shoes when you enter the Mosque. Every one we encountered inside was very nice. A girl brought us all cold water. One staff asked if we have any questions so we started talking and learned a bit about Islam. It was a pity that our discussion was cut short because there was a prayer coming up so we had to leave.

Very beautiful Mosque in central Aqaba! Ladies must be dressed properly (head covering and conservative dress) and have a side entrance. Very beautiful in the evenings.

Very erratic opening times. The website says open all day as long as one avoids prayer times. Did exactly that and got told by the guard to come back during prayer time. No opening times on site posted or any other information. A tour, guided by a local, tried to get in at the same time but we’re denied as well and gave up after arguing 10 minutes. Not worth it going there.

Nice mosque. If you don't have hijab they'll provide you something to visit. Would recommend as staff are very friendly and welcoming

We tried twice, first time gates locked. Second time guard said we couldn't go in. No information for visitors. Disappointing. Don't make a special journey hoping to get in. Shown as open 24 hours which no doubt it is, but could do with advertising visitor hours.

Nice, very nice. Dear security officer. Security lends women clothes for entry.

👍👍 Been here in December 2011, right after the Syrian revolution had started. We didn’t know it until we arrived at a hotel in Aqaba and had a chance to watch a tv news. There were many Syrian refugees. I met some of them, about four family of approximately 30 people arrived on a bus. They couldn’t af...
