Booking number: 4156652 Room was definitely not worth 5 stars but more like 3 stars at max. Service wasn't the that good either. Booked the room at 3 but we got it at 5. I also have a family of 7, 2 little kids and 5 adults including the parents. We asked for a extra bed the day we booked but once we got into the room it was 3 beds with no extra bed that we asked for. We Went to the reception and they told me to pay $35 extra for every night even tho they told us that we would get that extra bed. Not good experience. Not worth the price at all. Didnt have international wall ports which isn't a big deal but still important. Completely disappointed. I don’t even know how its a 5 star hotel. Wouldn’t recommend

The location is pretty good, private beach and great pools but we had a bad experience with the rooms: not clean, the sink in the bathroom was broken and water came out on the floor, the mugs were not clean and the room was full of dust. The water heater didn't work and there was no thick curtains so it would have been impossible to sleep and everyone could see us from outside. The staff was nice and gave us another room but there was cigarettes on the terrace floor so we changed the room once again. The dinner looked great but there was some chicken bones in the shawarma and I broke my tooth, I altered a staff member who told me it was no drama. For a five stars hotel it is not the standard we expected

The pools are great and the beach access is easy and clean, we were able to see corals and fish just by swimming there. Everyone we dealt with was helpful and respectful, we felt so welcomed there. The breakfast buffet is full of varieties, the dinner could be better. Just UT would be great if they can update and renew their sheets and room towels since they are a bit worn-out!

WARNING! They try to scam you on the desk. I made reservation with booking app and it gave me price in euros including taxes. At the desk they wanted +120€ more. Explanation for that were they pay for euros lower rate. even tho the booking app gave me the exact amount what i should pay in euros.

The worst hotel I have ever been to. Room is not worth 5 stars it is more like 3 stars.. not clean and noisy. I asked for a soft pillow and an iron and took them 12 hours and they did not get it ( till the time of writing this review ). dont come here if you are expecting 5 stars.

Had nice stay for 2 nights here. Highlights were the buffet breakfast, the balcony with sea view, and service. It’s also the only resort with fine white sand- everywhere else is rocky beach. Negatives were for trying to charge extra fees ‘to access the resort’ which included room access (Agoda specifically stated everything has been paid and nothing extra would be charged) AND the room cleanliness - the floor is mopped daily with dirty water!! when you take off your shoes, your feet/socks get so dirty and end up cleaning the floors.

This is an overdue objective review. We stayed there back in late May of 2022 This hotel is no 5 stars by any means The rooms are so old the curtains are ripped with holes, the floors are like craters, the walls are cracked and believe it or not a "hotel" in an Arab and predominantly Muslim country and has no bidets or hoses in the bathroom! The room we stayed in was so bad that the manager ended up switching us to basically a similar room, so horrible it was disgusting. Their pools were all closed except one and it was filthy as an unflushed toilet! The front desk people were mediocre and never followed up until we spoke to our travel agent about our initial room. Do not believe any pictures and avoid this place tlike you avoid the plague. I would give Motel-6 more stars than this dump!

The staff at the front desk were spectacular! Upgraded us and were more then helpful. The rooms and elevators need to be updated, our room had a sewer smell to it and the furniture had old stains on it and the shower was a bit small but the bed was comfortable. (We were in a deluxe room). The food was good. I think for a 5 star hotel that the juice shouldn't come out of a carton but should be freshed squeezed. I watched the gentleman dump 1JD juice in the container. Not all of the fruit was fresh. I could tell the pineapple cane out of a can but the cantaloupe was fresh. The view was amazing as was the pool and the ocean! All and all I enjoyed my stay but with a few upgrades it would have been better.

It was the over-all experience of staying at this hotel which gives it 5 stars. This dreamy place was next to the King and Queen's Palace, a lovely beach and the nicest people I've ever met. Jordan is crime-free. Thanks to it's peaceful people and rulers. The people there are just as warm-hearted as the weather. This hotel has great buffet on the daily, nice rooms with a bath tub, offers sea sports and the timeless memory of being surrounded by the desert sands, the Dead Sea, Petra, Date trees and camels. The Pyramids of Egypt will be my next stop...

Was a Guest with my family between 22-24/4 And have many complains : They refused to turn on the jacuzzi, they said it doesn’t work !! that was disappointing because the weather was not warm enough, and we missed out the enjoyment of the jacuzzi despite the high price in Holidays. Secondly the vegetables in the Open buffet wasn’t fresh ! Don’t know, maybe they try to save some money!! Staff specifically at the reception are not so friendly nor aggressive, but i think they need some training how to deal with the guests. Summary: bad experience, comparing with other hotels, there are much better options.

My wife and I embarked on a special tour of Jordan, excited to explore a new destination together. However, our journey took an unexpected turn upon our arrival at the hotel. Despite our request for an early check-in due to our long journey when we arrived, we were informed that there were no available rooms. This was puzzling, especially because I later discovered numerous vacant rooms listed on various booking websites. With our extensive travel experience, we understand and appreciate hotel policies. However, the situation raised eyebrows, as it's logical that if rooms are indeed available, they should be allotted to guests who have requested them in advance. This experience was far from ideal and clashed with the positive encounters we've had during our travels around the world. It's important to note that this review reflects our impressions only during the first four hours of our stay. As we set out to explore the beauty of Jordan, we remain hopeful that our overall journey will be filled with better experiences. While the initial check-in hiccup was disappointing, we're hoping that the rest of our stay will leave a more positive and lasting impression. Update: As of now, we still haven't received our room. Meanwhile, numerous new guests have arrived after us and were promptly assigned their rooms ahead of us. Regrettably, this level of customer service is not something one would expect even from a one-star hotel.

I had an incredible stay at the Grand Tala Bay Resort in Aqaba last week with my family. We, a family of four, including two young kids aged 3 and 5, spent 4 nights there, and it was truly amazing! The resort offered a perfect blend of relaxation and family-friendly activities. The staff was exceptionally attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our children had a fantastic time as well. The beautiful beachfront location, delicious dining options, and well-maintained facilities made our stay unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

Rooms were noisy, shower was hot (yay) but grout needs a good cleaning as a lot is black. Bed was comfortable. No outlet anywhere near the bed though. I requested an extension cord and got one that was short but long enough with my 6 foot usb to reach the bed. Rooms seem run down and need refurbishment. Can't believe this is supposed to be 5 stars. Happy hour in bar lobby was good.

Great location. Getting there is a bit tricky, since the roads around it are literally being built. The apartments are a bit dated, and you can tell the age. Two pools are heated, and the beach is top notch. Susana's is the place to have dinner. The all you can eat buffet is a bit overpriced in my opinion. 20 minutes to Aqaba. The grounds are impecable. The only reason on the four stars is that you can see the age on the buildings and the units.

We were accomodated in this hotel for one week and generally, we were quite satisfied. Yeah, its the truth, that the hotel and some rooms needs slowly some reconstruction, because its visible that it passed some time from the opening. But our room was good and we were satisfied. Also the food and staff was good during our stay. We spent there nice holiday time.

Our ground floor room, No 407, had an obvious damp smell throughout. We asked to be shifted but were told no other rooms available, this was during quiet season. A cleaner did come to clean the grime in the shower room. They left immediately after a few sprays - almost laughable service. The exterior looks amazing, and the breakfast was lovely but the room and service was not 5* standard. One night was enough. Please deep clean your rooms thoroughly or reduce your room rates.

The worst experience ever!!! I came all the way from Dubai to see my husband and it was our anniversary. He booked there and asked them to decorate the room and they never did. Room was not clean also there is no hot water. If you ask for something to the room they deliver it after 3 hours. Breakfast was the worst Tv was not working they came the next day to fix it. This hotel should be marked as 2 star hotel. Will never come here again

The location is nice, the views are lovely. The resort is in dire need of an upgrade. The rooms are dated and dark in particular the bathrooms. The bathrooms are showing their age. You are given a plate of fruit (4 pieces), 2 bottles of water (500ml), 2 cans of pepsi(250ml) and 2 cartons of juice (200ml). However the water is not replenished on the second day and a 1.5litre bottle costs 3JDs at the hotel. The service was good and the pools were great. There are several pools, however only one is heated. That's fine when there aren't many people around but I can see it becoming crowded very quickly. There were 2 water slides but they weren't working, this is disappointing for the kids who can see them but can't use them. The beach is white sand however near the waterline it was very rocky and you can't get into the water without hurting your feet or worse slipping. There was lots of algae on the rocks near the waterline which should have been cleaned up. The breakfast was good. There wasn't much variety but whatever was there was good. The dinner wasn't very good. Again there wasn't much variety and everything was extremely bland. Also the drinks were extra including water, and overpriced as mentioned above so it wasn't a very good experience gor the price. The check in and check out were quick. The checkout agent asked about the stay but didn't actually listen to what I was saying. This was the only time we experienced less than great service from staff. All the other times they were extremely pleasent and helpful. The pools and the staff are amazing however the dated rooms, poor dinner let the resort down hugely.

The hotel is beautiful and a great view. The customer service and reception are very bad and unprofessional. all the employees have very dull faces and expressions. The reception was unenthusiastic and not helpful. We weren't given any information regarding events either when arrived. The bus shuttle to the city was overpacked; with people standing and left 15 minutes late. Then, one minute late the shuttle back to the resort they wouldn't wait and left without us; forcing us to get overpriced taxis back when shuttling is meant to be provided.

It's a pretty big object built in the 90's or 80's, it's well preserved but of course, have some signs if it's age. It's beautifully located in the first line of the Red Sea with a view of Synay mountains on the horizon. The staff is nice and always helpful. The rooms are ok: spacious and functional. We've had a family room with a large bathroom and enormous balcony. The room service could be way better. Even though there was daily housekeeping, they didn't pay attention to the dirt on the floor or dirty towels on the bathrooms floor. This is something the hotel management should really look closer at, as there's lots to improve. We were in the low season, so many facilities if the hotel were not working. Most of the pools were on, the lifeguards were there, but they water was cold. One restaurant, Aziab was open for breakfasts and dinners and I can't praise enough how tasty food they prepare and serve! Breakfasts were rich, with lots of options: local, British, international, variety of eggs, breads, fruits and vegetables... they were repeatable, but you couldn't get bored. The dinners were a masterpiece of some regional cousine, different everyday. Wide variety of delicious meats (mostly chickdn and lamb) along with vegetable dishes, spices and lots of other specialities. The cooks are doying a really awesime worh there. I definitely recommend Grand Tala Bay Resort. It's a good value for money, great food and location, nice staff. Some minor things (mostly housekeeping) to be improved, but also, I'm sure that in the high season the summertime attractions compensate them well enough.

-For five stars resort rooms should be away better , many areas require renovation. -Construction and demolition work was on going on the room above us which was very annoying in out first day . Such work shouldn’t be allowed while the rooms around are reserved. We complained to the shift manager and they stopped the work after some time , although no one apologized for this terrible inconvenience. - Also some elevators not operating. - delay in getting the room while doing check in for almost one hour than the schedule. Place could be much better. Food is good , room view is accessible to pools .

Location is good beside quiet Marina park. Marina offers many activities. Food in restaurant is average and same every day, Nice staff but service is not the best, understaffed or badly managed, (have to get. own cutlery, no cups etc. Beach and pools are very nice, limited drinks available. But weather and sun are amazing, nice cooling breeze

Bad communication, they don't know how to speak with the guests, in night they take like half hour to check in, the full board is such a bad idea, the kitchen is not that good, reception add fees on how you look, the suite i reserved is for 3 person they charged me for the third person because the reservation was done on booking for 2 person and they asked for more than the first price gave by the first employe. Suite 110 Special thanks for Saja in the restaurant.

Fast review: + pleasent breakfast included + towels available for beach/ pools + helpfull staff when you ask help. + care products + good place to make walks + there is a market that you can book your tours from. + wounderfull beach and sea + clean facilities (room is excluded) + minibar access (soft drinks) + free parking for your car - dinner was not that good - room sheets and blinds were not very clean - water is extra at all facilities except breakfast. - late check in 3pm -4pm no option to early check in :( - check out is at 12pm - heated pool is not heated as advertised :( - charging point for car is not included in price (20jds (30 $) too much for charging an eV. The stay was good, I would recommend it to the budget we paid, our stay was only one night, in the weekend. Once we arrived at 2:00 pm we went to check in but we couldnt, as the policy of hotel is to check in at 3:00pm ,which is odd, so we asked for early check in but the rooms were not ready at that time so we had to wait , the receptionist "Yahya", was kind to offer us to using facilities of the hotel and gave us our towel tickets in advance. ( can't review the luggage handling as we were in handbags). We took a tour In the place Tala Bay is a vast compound that has many things in it, unfortunately it was some how empty, maybe because of the time or the region condition during our stay (Nov/2023). we went back to the reciption again at 3 pm and got our rooms cards, and we got an upgrade to our room to be at sea view. As we arrived at our rooms we checked them the room facilities were standard (balcony, TV, mini bar, safe, hair and body products, slippers, ...) but the sheets, blinds, and floor were not that clean. We then went to the beach and stayed there for about 3-4 hours and let me tell you it is the most unforgettable experiance, swimming in the sea is wounderfull as the Beach is clean, no sea urchins, and the water was clear, the real experiance is when you dive , we saw a lot of aqua marine life so we spent about 2 thirds of the time under the water. Then we went to the pool the sun set was pleasant at the infinity pool they had, Sunbeds were available and there was a small beach bar beside the pool and the beach that you can have access to, but we stayed in the water until the sun went down (they close pools and beach for swimming after sunset) and went for a quick shower in the rooms. Then went to the restaurant to the dinner The dinner wasn't bad but also not the best, they had a national cuisine, I tried all the dishes they had and I can rate it at 2.5/5 for 3 reasons, 1 the food was not the best tasting 2 the staff didn't refill the dishes often after its finished 3 any drink including water was extra charge. After the dinner we went to the beach again we sat about 2 hours before we went to our rooms to sleep, there were some nights activities that I wasn't in so I skipped them. In the morning we had our breakfast and it was a standard continental breakfast and it was delicious drinks and water was included this time, there was a slight over take that there was a cup that wasn't clean, but saja and basil took care of it. Then we did a beach walk , I would recommend to do that to. When checking out we had to do a late checkout but we couldnt do for the 2 rooms we had, instead we had one room to be handed on time and the other we kept one and kept using the facilities. Meanwhile we hit the beach once more. For 1 hour then we checked out and this concluded our stay. I would have loved if the hotel had an all inclusive offer so you wouldn't worry about the food time, or if they had more  activities to do other than belly dancers or night concerts, they have many pools, beach ball court , beach soccer field , water volleyball pool, also they had wide areas that could make ant activity in them. Over all the stay was an average stay not a 5star experiance ,but I would rebook in the same hotel if it was for the same price.

Good stay, very good large swimming pool with a sea view and very good breakfast. The staff could have been more professional with clearer demonstration on facilities and services. They have a bus dedicated to deliver people to city center at 3:30PM, and comes back to the hotel at 8:00PM. Rooms are good but the extra bed they got us wasn't very good, it was small and fragile with a lot of noise.

I had an amazing stay at the resort. The facility was very clean and staff was very helpful and attentive, especially ragab and Tito. They made our stay so pleasant and we spent an amazing time with them. They were so helpful and loved to help and informed us about their daily shows and events. I would definitely come back. They made sure we were always comfortable and catered to all our needs.

Ok so this one is tough to rate as I actually did have an amazing stay apart from the check-in experience and a conversation with the front desk lady who was rude on phone and also they could improve the selection of food in the buffet. The hotel is located right on the beach which is so serene and beautiful. The rooms are cozy and well maintained with balconies that faces the Red Sea and right infront of Egypt which made me feel really happy. The dinner buffet was kind of a let down, don’t get me wrong, the variety was good, it’s just that the taste wasn’t up to the mark for such a beautiful resort. This goes to both dinner and breakfast at Azibe restaurant. The swimming pools were so gorgeous that on a summer day you wouldn’t want to leave it. Unfortunately it was too cold for my liking to swim. Overall, highly recommended.

Nice place if you just want to relax... (e.g. l, after having visited the more historical sites in Jordan!). Bathroom could be better, but overall nice room. Nice breakfast and other amenities offered (gym, pools, bars/restaurant). You can see some nice corals and fish if you bring a snorkel!

The Grand Tala bay resort is excellent. The atmosphere is quiet ant tranquil. The food is varied ant delicious. The staff in the restaurant is kind and smiling. My favourite is Saja, she is very responsive and cordial. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The see and the beach are beautiful. The hygiene in the rooms is unsatisfactory. The stay hear is pleasant.

STAY AWAY and save your time and money. I'm not sure how is this a 5 star hotel. The room was disgusting and awful and we had to wait extra 2 hours to check in The staff at the reception disk were rude, untrained and unprofessional at all. The breakfast "buffet" is cold, dead and anything but fresh, it lacks fruits and vegetables and fresh juices. You need to wait until 10 am to use the pool and it with the beaches closes at 7 PM. You can't bring food and drinks from outside and get food dieleverd to your room. It's so far from the city of aqaba and needs like 20 minutes in car. Their is no gym! No wonder you guys have a horrible rating

Not at all value for money. Rooms outdated. Even a standard room in a so called 5* hotel should meet with a certain standard. Breakfast not extraordinary, just Ok. When the loud bass music has stopped, beach is nice and clean. Plenty of swimming pools to enjoy, nothing negative here. But in general, I propose 3 options to the management: 1/ or promote your resort as 4* instead of 5* 2/ or do some renovation so to meet with 5*quality 3/ or adjust you prices which now do not give the expected value

    1) room service is quite archaic at this hotel. I had to customer service and was told I’d get a call back from room service. I couldn’t just get a direct line to room service. After 4 hours and numerous calls to the customer service desk, I went to the front desk and was finally able to get what I wanted. 2) rooms are mediocre 3) pools are nice. The resort is small, so the ocean is easily accessible 4) there’s no spa :(

Been visiting this hotel for the past 4 years almost yearly... Seems services goes from Slow to slower... Thought all the staff except the pool towel ppl are very passionate about what they are doing and very polite the services degradation makes the experience not very pleasant. To be constructive here.. Managment must lool into restaurant and how they manage the crowds they try to attract. Lines at the water dispensers is not very healthy senary.. Nor the need to wait an hour for towels or food...

Bad experience and the reviews never lie! I booked it without looking onto reviews and I wouldn’t book if I have looked! Room’s quality: below average and considered pricy. Overall vibe: the beach side is not for a 5-star hotel. The staff and the service is really bad and need some trainings for the workers on how to welcome guests. Conclusion: if you are a young-age couple or singles, AVOID this resort because it is waste of money.

Rooms definitely need maintenance. drawer don't close, shower are dirt and fungus growing, safe deposit box was falling apart and useless. Elevators didn't work. Food was good served buffet style. Service is none-existent. During check-out we called to have someone help us with the luggage. No one came to help. We kept getting calls every 10 minutes reminding us it was checkout time, but they never sent anyone to help. We finally decided to carry our own luggage to the lobby area to do our check-out and none of the elevators worked. We were on a full board basis. This means that all meals are included, but no drinks. We were at the beach. The hotel does not offer any stations to refill water bottles as most hotels do. My kids needed a glass of water. We stopped at one of the bars (restaurants were closed) and asked if we could get a simple glass of water. We were told that since we did not have an all inclusive bracelet, we did not have access to water. I told them my daughter needed a glass of water and, if necessary, I was willing to pay for it. They told me they could not help as they were not allowed to accept cash or credit cards. When I asked for a solution, they told me I had to go to the main lobby and pay the difference from full board to all inclusive rate and then return to get the glass of water. I could not believe what I was being told. The hotel denied to provide a simple glass of water, they did not accept payment to get it. Their solution was to walk all the way to the lobby and pay a much higher rate just to get some water. Another guest standing by was kind enough to offer my daughter a small bottle of water. The location is great and the beach, crowded, but beautiful. However, we will definitely stay at another hotel next time.

Okayish Hotel, but overpriced. Would be perfect at 100 USD per night, but everything above is overcharging. Breakfast is okay, rooms are not clean, staff is barely capable. All in all okayish Hotel if you can get a fair price.

Great beach location: you can swim out a few metres and see coral, which is pretty amazing. Most rooms have great views and are very quiet. But, the rooms are very dated, cleanliness isn’t great, and the buffet dinner/breakfast often felt like a zoo it was so loud. The buffet breakfast and dinner were pretty mediocre.

Great resort, the crew was very helpful, especially Hamad. Beach was clean. I just wish the had water fountains for refelling or any other kind of sustainability actions to reduce waste.

Quite nervous when we saw some of the reviews but i really don't know where they came from. Our stay in Grand Tala Bay Resort was very outstanding. It doesn't do under for comparable resorts in Egypt for example, which stands for luxury, comfort and service. We got a room with terrace viewing over the see and pool and this room was large, good A/C, nice beds and large clean bathroom. Breakfast was very various with lots of choices and the staff in general is absolutely helpfull and friendly. A special thanks to Mohammad Z, from the front office, which really understands what guest relations means. He was very friendly and make our stay even more better. Highly recommended when you want to enjoy luxury during your trip trough Jordan. I will come back for sure!

A beautiful place, a breathtaking view of the sea, the food is very mediocre, the last day we ate at the restaurant, we waited 45 minutes for the food. We were not informed that the kitchen is closed and the food comes from the main kitchen, some of the dishes were not good. There are lots of stunning swimming pools. The staff is pleasant

Very nice hotel. Quite big with a comfortable rooms. It was very clean. The service is more than you expect. Everyone is helpful. I was hurt on my feet and got immidiate help. I even left my scarf in the room, hotel staff found it and kept it for me. Breakfast were delicious, lots od choices. Really nice neigbourhood, you can do great snorkelling just from the hotel beach. There are nice restaurants on the marina.
