Tala Bay is an area 10-min south of Aqaba. There are a few hotels ans resorts all built around a pleasant marina. So while you might not want to head to the city, you still have nice places for dinner and shopping around the corner. The hotel itself is decent but could do with refurbishing the rooms. I had to unplug the TV in order to charge my phone (Europeans, bring an adapter !). Beds were comfy and clean. The cleaning staff came everyday and is very discreet yet friendly. Breakfast has enough to satisfy pretty much anyone. The manager of the restaurant was, in my humble opinion, the nicest and most professional person working in the hotel. There are 2 swimming pools that could be enjoyed by all if dozens of children were not shouting and diving without parents intervening.

Horrible experience couldn't stay there for more than an hour We booked two rooms , when we arrived there it was a mess at the reception area , it was messy and a lot of people were screaming and having problems with the reception. The rooms' floors were dirty the pillows and the bed sheets had hair on them , the curtains had yellow stains , the bathroom was so small old and dirty , the furniture as well was so old as if they didn't change it since they've opened the hotel , I don't recommend at all.

I used to like this hotel, but in the last couple years i stayed twice at Marina and it's the worst hotel experience i had globally not just in Jordan. The staff specially the receptionists have a rude, and fighting attitude. I've already payed extra than the booking price and they gave me a room in the far block with a mountin view, i tried to reason with them that i've already payed extra and i deserve the sea or pool view ended in almost my dad picking a fight with them, no respect. About the rooms we arrived at the checking in time and the rooms supposed to be ready and checked, but not one room had no towels and the other room had 1 bottle of water- which supposed to be 2-. The doors are stuck not opening or closing well you literally have to slam it to close! Honestly, i had a better stay in hostels than this supposedly "4 stars, 5 stars service" hotel!

This is a 2 star hotel with a 3 star room so ... Not bad. But if you are coming to have an exotic day at the beach this is not the place for you ... Check out the places more closer to the beach because this hotel is very far from the beach (you cannot see anything from the room) and the bar service sucks so bad. Me and my cousin snuck into the other hotels next door to have better experience. LOL

When it come to marina, marina is a good place for people on a budget. The reception is good, and the staff are professional and friendly. The rooms are extra clean, but the food is mediocre and the pools are very small in comparison to other hotels in tala bay. The beach is good, but its far away from all facilities in tala bay.

A mixed experience A generally pleasant experience in Aqaba - the marina resort is lovely with several restaurants and activities. The resort is literally in the middle of the desert and the temperature in August is oppressive - it was topping 45 degrees every day while we were there (mid-august 2023). This seemed off the beaten track for British tourists - mostly Arab families with young kids and many Italian tour groups. The positives were - the deluxe room we booked was nice, with a clean and comfortable large bed, nice bathroom, and balcony with marina views. The air conditioning in the room was great and easy to use. Room service and housekeeping were efficient and replaced towels, water, accoutrements each day. We spent almost a whole day out on a boat snorkelling with the company Deep Blue diving - would also really recommend. We booked in person one day in advance at their beach shack in front of the beach club (which was easily accessible from the hotel). Around the marina there are really nice restaurants and the included breakfast was comprehensive. Some of the reception staff were very friendly and spoke good English. However, there were some significant negatives. Only a few reception staff spoke good English and there was a definite language barrier with less senior members. The communal pool area was often very busy with many children, and due to understaffing there was a lot of rubbish around the pool area (cans, used crockery). The hotel also played pretty loud music the whole time. Most members of staff seemed very young (older teenagers/young twenties) and inexperienced and didn’t speak much English. I think the lifeguard spent more time in the pool than out of it and joined in with swimming races rather than watching for safety issues. In the bedroom, some appliances like the hairdryer did not work, and there were very few electrical plugs to charge things. The worst part of the stay was that the check in experience was pretty terrible - when we arrived in the midday heat we were told that we couldn’t check in yet and had to wander around while the room was prepared. When we returned, the porter took us to the wrong room (the number was written very unclearly on the card due to the language barrier) and we arrived in a room which was dirty and the beds were not made. This was extremely frustrating as we were sweltering from the heat. After a challenging discussion with a manager whose English wasn’t very strong, we established we had been taken to the wrong room. We were escorted to the correct room which was much nicer and what we were expecting. The reception team compensated us with a free bottle of Jordanian wine. The next day, the card to the room stopped working again, so again we had to walk in the heat to reception to get this fixed. Luckily for us, this turned out very well indeed. We were greeted at reception by an absolute sunshine of a man, who when i said “my key isn’t working” replied “oh that’s great news… because it means I get to see you again.” I had never seen that man before in my life. Overall - lots of promise, but at times executed poorly.

We booked 3 rooms for 1 night on the 9th august with intention to stay longer, we we’re so relieved we didn’t book for more than a night once we arrived. Upon arrival ( we arrived late at 4pm ) we were told the rooms weren’t ready, after waiting an hour with a 7 month old child and a 75 year old mother in law we finally got the key cards! The rooms were so grubby and stunk foul, we found pins on the floor in our room, the bathroom floors were absolutely mank, broken fridge door, bedsheets definitely hadn’t been changed as they were all soiled. For a supposedly 4star hotel it’s pitiful, the manager is about as useful as a wooden spoon!! If your British and expecting luxury based on ‘stars’ steer well clear of this place, we’ve slept far more comfortably in the travel lodge back home, there’s simply no comparison, I’d honestly not recommend the marina plaza to anyone with standards, it’s possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever slept in and that’s saying something!!

The rooms are spacious and clean, but a number of things didn't work or weren't there: no chair (had to be brought in upon request but they only had plastic ones), no towels, the mini bar was empty (seems to be hotel policy as the staff told me) , the kettle didn't work properly. I had to insist that they give me the room they had shown me before checking in and not another one. When I went for a swim in the pool a bit after 7 they urged me to leave it because it was closed. Hotel policy as well, pool open from 9 to 7. Weird. The breakfast is decent, but you're not allowed to sit outside or to take your coffee. Also here, hotel policy.. internet was not working for hours. Staff is correct but not friendly. The stay is definitely not worth the 80-100 Jod per night they charge you. The "bar" is a joke.

The hotel is amazing with wonderful private access to the beach. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast buffets is good. The rooms are clean and you have a nice small balcony view of the garden or the pool. Tala bay has many shops, restaurants and pubs catering the tourist community. They also have a shuttle bus which takes you to the city (as it’s further away) pickup at 3pm and drop off at 8pm. But should be reserved at the receptionist.

Nice staff and location. The food is not so varied, but it is tasty. The furniture is a little bit old.

Loved staying at this hotel. Really close to the marina and the beach, with a bunch of great restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Also loved the ambiance of the place and the pools were a huge draw. Everything very convenient and excellent. My only observation would be that the rooms were a bit drab… perfectly fine for sleeping, but didn’t quite match the vibe of the rest of the resort.

The location of the hotel is spectacular, Mr. Mishal Bahri is very cooperative and kind. The room from inside needs maintenance and more hygienic attention. It is suitable for children to play and swim in the pools. It's far away from the city center, a means of transportation is needed .

I ve been to many different places/hotels across the world , but this hotel is so special Hotel s staff very nice, plesant, caring, always greet you, ask if everything is ok, arrange everything promptly, they open door for you, sort every little problem out, very well organized, giving advices, hard working and always smiling Specially guys on reception we have found them very helpful and caring, makes you feel like home Hotel s location is just perfect, close to beach, shops and marina port swimming pools always clean What we were very suprised about was also cleaning service, perfectly clean room, towels has always been chaned, they have refilled toiletries daily , They clean your room mostly in the mornings and then come one more time in evening and ask about towels or bottled water which was very Nice They also gave us some traditional sweets to the Room which was very nice Breakfast was fine, however we would appreciate coffee machine during breakfast so everybody can choose what coffee they want, there was luck of fruit, i never spotted any fresh fruit there but still overal was fine We definitely coming back, i would reccomend this hotel to everybody

This place was super cool. It s a giant hotel resort with several swimming pools, beach access, nice rooms, and the biggest breakfast buffet ever. The room was spacious. The only issue we had were some ants and some orange water that came out from the sink when we first got in. Breakfast got sweet and sour from eggs to pancakes and muffins. The beach has several beds that can be used by guests. There are also several activities that can be booked on site like jet ski, scuba diving etc. Lots of families around with kids

I had the pleasure in dealing with Ms. Waad, Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Tarek at reception in this hotel. Those were very professional staff members and welcoming. The breakfast wasn't very appetizing, but the staff were very friendly. The rest of the hotel wasn't very nice to stay at. The rooms were just alright. I tried ordering room service over 16 times, and when I finally was able to reach them, I asked for a menu, and they delivered it to my room. Once I decided what I want to order, I could not get in touch with their Bar or Restaurant. 20 Minutes later, someone knocked on my door asking if I finished viewing the menu, as they need it. Same goes for Towels. I called reception over 5 times requesting a towel but it took them well over 40 minutes to send them. All in All, i would give this hotel three stars because of the warm welcome from their staff only.

Rooms were clean, the bathroom was good, swimming pools were great and kids friendly, and the staff was very friendly. Downsides were the TV was from another era, like belongs to a museum. The breakfast didn't have a wide variety of choices. Overall it was enjoyable and I would definitely visit this hotel again in the future.

An OK place, Prons: best thing is the sea view beach is big and good, good breakfast, pools for kids, nice cooperative staff. Cons: no elevator for upper floors, furniture is a bit old, no heated pools, a bit of a walk to the beach.

We stayed for 4 nights in August 2023.The pool is nice as well overall ambience is good. Beach is accessible though a bit distance..very good housekeeping service by Mr kashif on a daily basis , very cooperative and proactive he has been throughout our stay, they provide good breakfast though in terms if dinner options are limited inside the resort and quiet expensive

We arrived with 16 people for a family vacation. At first, we didn't get the rooms we ordered on the internet that cost us extra because we wanted the pool view. Instead of neighbor rooms with a pool view, they gave us random rooms not even close to each other and on different floors. It took us 3 hours in the reservation until we got an OK room but still not what we ordered. The hotel: Feels like barely a 3/5 star hotel.. The walls are stained and the room cleansing was terrible. Instead of changing our towels they just fold them and put them in place regardless if the towel is still soaking wet. And after we asked for new towels it took them 40 minutes to bring them. Dining room: There is not much selection but that's the fine part. As you sit at your table the staff comes and asks you if you'd like something to drink and doesn't mention anything about costs or payments. Only when you exit the dining room they ask you to pay. Sleazy... The Staff: Not so welcoming.. And you can just feel all they want is to scam you for some more money. There are no activities or shows or actually anything to do at the hotel during the day/evening. The bar is extremely expansive $$$.

Generally I liked the place, the pool was amazing the beach was amazing too, the staff were lovely all of them, what I like about it is that I could bring my own drinks (including alcohol) and my own food from out side as my gf is vegetarian and she doesn't have much options in such places in jordan. I also liked that there's a cheap priced liquor store just beside the hotel on the way to the beach and no one minded that we had beers on the beach which is amazing compared to other Jordanian hotels. But still what disappointed me is the room looked old bed wasn't comfy and the toilets is old too not like in the picture toilet seat was almost black under water although the house keeping staff tried hard to clean it.

Rooms are dirty. The phone in the room doesn’t work, the fridge is a heater. No plugs for your electronics. Customer Service personnel are polite but that’s it. I forgot to mention, I have lizards in my room and the guy used tissue paper to plug the holes. This hotel should be shut down as it is in need of renovations. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel.

Everything is perfect.. one star missing because the restaurant staff was rude, there is a tree in the balcony blocking the view, and the tv channels was not clear... highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Nizar A. 1 year ago on Google
Although the hotel in general is old and needs some modernization, renovation and development, especially the rooms and bathrooms mainly, but the level of cleanliness is very good compared to hotels of the same category. As for the services and staff, it is really the advantage of this hotel and its staff make the difference as they were friendly and provide their services professionally, and this is one of the reasons for my evaluation of the hotel ... This is to encourage the continuance of this level of service and to try to renew and modernize the hotel and furniture to be one of the preferred places to stay in Aqaba.

No wifi available sea Is far from building and furnuture is too old and dirty, room servise is great also overall they need to reconsider building facilities and furniture I send my deepest thanks to front desk staff (suhaib, I forgot the other guy name) and animation team (ismail, lena) Apeeciate your nice effort

Close to the Red Sea, the surroundings and the outside of the hotel were great, really nice to walk arround. The pool was cold in december. Great breakfast. Old rooms but comfortable. The beach was beautiful. Nice staff at the reception. They really make the place worth more.

The staff have been accommodating throught our stay, we were upgraded to a slightly bigger room upon arrival, the pool and surrounding area was cleaned and well maintained each day. There was substantial choice for breakfast with some elements cooked freshly. Very short walking distance to the marina and the beach.

Lovely location close to nice and clean beach . Average and dated hotel especially rooms and reception which needs urgently some improvements in order to keep their stars . Very helpful and polite staff , average kitchen but there is always something acceptable to choose from . Over all good place to spend few nights but not breathtaking at all .

I guess it's standard hotel for local conditions. Little bit worn out look but overcompensated by genuinly the sweetest staff. As the season is pretty low they upgraded our room free of charge and delayed our checkout time.

Very nice for a 4 star resort, the structure offer a lot of various services, like diving, rent a boat etc... Quality/price is good, and the locals are so nice and kind! Aqaba is a beautiful city, a little pearl.

It's an Absoloutly lovely place to stay. Amazing staff, always happy to help and professional. Rooms are comfortable, and beds/pillows lovely. Would be 5 stars, but the rooms seem to lack the mega build quality I would have expected, just the odd bit of cement here or there. The facilities are also excellent with everything within a short walk. Restaurants are also good with water sports and other activities nearby. Over all 5 stars, though.
