One of hostels of owner. Another one more near to beach and convenient for long stay. This one also have good location. 10-15 minutes pedestrian to central quay (shops, restaurants, exchanges, city tour buses) and then to beach or Jett bus terminal with buses to Amman and morning/evening buses to Wadi Rum (so you can go to cheap one day round trip plus share jeep tour at place). Good one-level beds in large room with wifi, fridge, conditioning and nice decoration. Good shower/toilet with hot water and shampoo. Extra good equipped kitchen with fridge, microwaver and always tea. Nice launge and yard for communications. Very friendly and complaisant English speaking owner Mr Amer and his daughter always cares the guests and helps in all. He can bring to airport and can provide not expensive taxi to Dourra/Haql Saudi or Eilath Israeli borders as example.

No hot showers but honestly, you're in one of the most remote places on earth and it's worth treating yourself to a Turkish bath after roughing it out in Wadi Rum for a few nights. I didn't have a choice in my accomodation because o attended a music festival but the room was the least of my concerns. Critically, it is safe and your belongings are well-looked after. The families are welcoming and the location is one of the best in the area.

A really lovely hostel with a lovely owner and lovely staff. Upon arrival we were given a free upgrade which made our stay even nicer! The showers are nice, the beds are comfortable and there's free tea all day long should you wish! It's a great place to meet new people and you're close enough to the city centre to have easy access to everything! I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

The best thing in Aqaba was going to this hostel! The dorms were perfect, clean, calm, convenient. You can order breakfast and dinner for good prices from a lovely housekeeper lady. The owner arranges you (completely spontaneous) a high quality and good price (35 JD) diving trip. Especially the owners son made our day: a support and atmosphere Iโ€™ve not seen before. He solved literally every problem for us. Food, transportation, activities, quality fun time together. We felt at home!

My stay there was wayyy too comfortable and when it came to helping guests the owners went above and beyond, my only wish was to stay there longer. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

I felt that I was in my second home, especially in the evening, where the food was cooked in the kitchen and enjoyed with the guests, and we talked as if we were friends from a long time ago. Rushdi

A wonderful stay with a great location. The host Amer and his daughter were very hospitable, even inviting us for a home cooked lunch which was very delicious. Highly recommended!

Best hostel and staff in Jordan and probably the whole Middle East! I wish I could rate this hostel higher! The owner and his son truly turned our trip around after having a bad hostel experience in Jerusalem. They set us up with the cheapest snorkel tour and wadi rum tour by far, invited us to join them for free lunch twice and gave us great advice on everything else. After heading to Petra for a few days we returned for an evening before catching the ferry to Egypt. They let us stay there in the AC for the few hours we had waiting for the late night ferry, offering us free tea and water and getting us a good taxi to the port. Once we arrived the taxi found out the ferry had been cancelled. This rarely happens and wasn't announced anywhere. We returned to Al Amer and they saw we were upset we lost a day in Egypt and gave us a nights stay FOR FREE. Truly incredible people that really are in the business to help people travel affordably and enjoy their country!

Really nice hosts, good value for the price. It looks a bit shady from the outside, it misses a clear sign of where the entrance is but altogether we had a great stay there! We could organise trips from there and meet a lot of new people. I would definitely recommend this hostel if you're on a budget!

Amer is a fantastic host! The hostel feels more like a very welcoming homestay, with everyone eating together in the kitchen and sharing tea and chatting in the living room. The beds are also very comfy :) Amer can help you with any request you have & is a very kind, openminded host. I highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing hostel! Amer is one of the best hosts I have ever come by. Even though his hostel is quite new, Amer has a lot of experience in the hotel business and that really shows! The hostel is in his private home and you feel like your being invited to become part of his family. He is also a great guy to talk to and just hang out with. You really feel at home. Amazing hospitality, open minded guy and a cozy environment. If you are in Aqaba go stay at Al Amer Hostel!

Bo Doors in male dormitories, people are smoking inside in common area so basically you sleep (if you can fall asleep when it's really loud - not only from outside buy also inside) in a cigarette smoke. Owner and staff is nice but smoking inside shouldn't be allowed

This hostel is awesome. Very low-key and quiet. Amer and his son Abdullah are very fun loving and great hosts. Everyday you can eat breakfast with other guests, itโ€™s a great way to meet other travelers. Like others have said, it feels more like a homestay than a hostel. The patio is great as well. If you are looking for a place to relax in Aqaba then this is your spot.

We had a very comfortable stay at this awesome hostel. Amer, the owner, along with his son Abdallah, were always making sure of our satisfaction and helping us with everything. The place feels very safe and is peaceful & quiet to say the least, I say itโ€™s perfect for all kinds of tourists .. feels like home.

Kindest stay I've had in a hostel. Very friendly prices, awesome owner (amer), and the location is good :) Met many other tourists, and again; had a really nice experience of staying. Awesome place.

I stayed in this hostel for two nights with a friend. The hostel itself is fine. Good breakfast, good vibes, central location and a decent common area. However, the owner was not nice. One night he got drunk and kept touching some of the female guest' hair and legs. Also, he enters the rooms unannounced to tell you breakfast is ready. We arrived here with a plan of continuing to Wadi Rum. The owner told us about his own camp in Wadi rum and pruposed us some package tour. We decided to go there by ourselves and sort things out over there and not do a pre-booked tour. The owner was not happy with this. He was annoyed at us the next two days, ignoring us most of the time and otherwise telling us we made a very bad descision. In the end our own visit to Wadi Rum was very nice and more than twice as cheap compared to the package the owner offered us.

Cheap price, good emplacement, free sweety tea, but the owner could be more nice, and avoid extra charges.

This is the best hostel in Jordan, I areived there with no plan on what to do in jordan and abdallah organised a 2 day trip going to wadi rum and petra on the spot for a good deal. The food is amazing and really cheap, there's cats, good internet, friendly guests, close to the beach. 11/10

๐Ÿ˜ I will start saying that they have another hostel close by that looks way better so better if you go to the other one. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ One of the best hostel, which we found during our long journey. Biker friendly with safe parking. Phenomenal hospitality. Very clean rooms and toa. Chef Mohammedโ€™s kitchen is a chapter for itself. Dir Bahโ€™a has excellent senses how to run an enterprise. Would we stay there again? Absolutely yes.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ It has a friendly, polite, respectful, helpful, self-sacrificing owner. A clean and safe place. We felt at home during our stay. We established a good friendship. It could be your address in Aqaba. Everything was perfect. As the owner said, we returned to our country happy, thanks. Thanks Sabri.
