Short bus ride from santa Cruz small traditional Spanish village

Black sand as you would expect. Some areas very stony/rocky but there is a nice sandy flat bit too 😊

Lovely local beach situated at the end of the new promenade that is under construction. A nice circular walk up the steps and back around. Rock and shale , no sand. Take your beach/swim shoes to be on the safe side.

Nice and quiet.. Away from the maddening crowds.. Lovely hotel, lovely room and fantastic food.

Lovely beach... However if you are a lover of traditional beaches, forget about it. This sand is black, like proper black and is mostly made of massive black stones than sand.

This is our 5th stay at the Punta del Ray we really enjoy it here its lovely we come all inclusive and its really good value the meals are lovely you have a great choice so if you complain about the food i can only say you must be fussy .

Hard to walk on as its mainly stones and rocks but the sea is crystal clear and the beach is spotless

Pure and clean water, clean sand and not windy beach. One of the best volcanic beaches in Tenerife
