    One of the most beautiful monasteries I've ever visited. It is located near the Ovcar spa in Ovcarsko Kablarsko gorge. On one side it is surrounded by high cliffs, and on the other by the river West Morava. It is one of the most important monasteries in this district and is considered to be the 15th century cradle.

    Beautiful 15th century monastery located in Ovcar-Kablar gorge. The church treasury is full of 15th and 16th century manuscripts and frescos.One of the most beautiful medieval Serbian manuscripts, Nikolje gospel, used to belong to Nikolje monastery, while today it is kept in Dublin, Ireland. It was written at the end of XIV century in uncial type of Cyrillic alphabet. Manuscript, partially damaged, numbers 147 pages.

    Female monastery, you should definitely have long skirt- female and long pants- male. Next to the river, peaceful and quiet place. You can sit on a bench and drink water from well, there’s also some sweets, so you can relax a bite.
