Service: terrible service. It took them hours to bring two food. They brought the first one 30 min before the second. They forgot the drinks twice. At the end I did not get m second drink that I ordered. Food: terrible. I ordered beef barbeque. It was really terrible and the meat was like a chewing gum. Even with the knife I could not cut it. I do not understand such high ratings (probably paid to get it).

We had the most intimate and special birthday experience. The food was incredible. Our wine was local and simply divine. Our wait staff was beyond attentive (Fernando and Alexandra) . Dessert was impeccable (we had four). The overall experience could not have been better as it was my girlfriend’s birthday and they made certain to make it incredibly special for the both us. If you make one restaurant destination while in Madrid, make it here!

Stumbled on this gem walking around the palace. We had high hopes to try their Paella but since we got there 30 mins before closing for lunch break, they kinda just brushed us off by telling us the Paella needed a full one hour to make. We did get rushed to order. No problem we understand they are trying to close. We got the Sangria to drink and some appetizers. The appetizers came out quick. We had the sampler, the goat cheese and a salad. The goat cheese was phenomenal. For our mains we shared the two meat options and they were to die for. The dessert was ok nothing special. The only issue we had was the fact that the server dropped my glass of sangria straight in my lap. Accidents happen. We understand. But the fact that no apologies were given nor was I asked if anything was okay or if I needed anything taken care of. My jeans and my shoe were soaked and to add insult to injury it's wine. So you know this thing is not coming out. Then the server disappeared after he dropped off the dessert. We have to cash out with the head chef. They did comp the sangria replacement but they did charge for the original one that they spilled. This place would easily be a five-star, but the way they handled this really upset me. Very unprofessional.

What an experience ! The place has a rustic feel to it. It is Long-running, family-owned place for Iberian ham, wine & tapas, with a bar, 2 salons & a terrace. Book in advance as reservations are recommended and the place fills up quickly. Option to sit outside (if it’s warm enough) or inside. We ordered sea food paella and beef. The sea food was fresh and so tasty ! Special mention to the service. It was smooth, quick. I wish I had gotten the name of the person . The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Highly recommend everyone come here while visiting the Palacio Real de Madrid

Come for the great meat. This little place in the quiet streets of Madrid has incredible meat dishes full with flavor. Book in advance as reservations are recommended and the place fills up quickly. Option to sit outside (if it’s warm enough) or inside (downstairs which is a bit dingy and lacking decor). Service is quick. Food is great and the house wine compliments the meat well. Sides are a bit small

Loved the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. The food was good and the service was great! We had a tapas la mi venta alongside two glasses of wine. The food was good, but the complimentary olive oil dip was the star of the meal for me. It was just too good. They also served a complimentary vanilla-baileys shot after the meal, which was pretty good too, and it did the job of dessert for us.

Me and my partner shared the tapas, was lovely authentic Spanish food although we didn’t care for the beef stew dish in the photo. Sangria was really good too. Place was really busy with tourists like ourselves but we had to rush our dinner as there was another booking so only got to enjoy the nice view for an hour.

it was a tough choice to choose a restaurant, but finally I decided to be La Mi Venta. I have no regrets: the food was more than delicious, service is exceptional, staff is amazing, the restaurant is clean, what else do you need. Maybe the price is a bit higher comparing with other restaurants, but definitely worth it.

Amazing food, location and service. Our server Fernando was fantastic. We spoke no Spanish and he was so accommodating. The location was also so cool. Where we sat looked like an old cellar. Plus, the food was awesome! Definitely would recommend to go hear. …Try the Paella

Food here is fantastic. Service is good too despite restaurant being kind of busy. Food here is delicious and they cook it over the charcoal grill. No fanciful methods but they brought out the natural flavours of the food just by grilling. Squid is a must order. Done amazingly, charred well and very tender. It blew my partner away who didn't like squid before she tried it.

Excellent service, excellent food. First of all. The service is impeccable. A very nice waiter was helpful during our whole meal. Always nice, always with a perfect attitude. The food was excellent. We got treated to a shot/digestive after the meal - free of charge. If you are in Madrid, VISIT THIS PLACE.

Had a great dinner here. Paella and ravioli are delicious, sangria is good as well. Worth every penny. Great service from Jazmin. She’s thoughtful enough to adjust our order with great recommendation. Highly recommend everyone come here while visiting the Palacio Real de Madrid.

Beautiful, family owned restaurant in the heart of Madrid. This place has fabuluos meals - seafood paella among the best! Also, great wine menu - Rioja rules👍🏼. Everything is very clean and service is great. One of the nicest places in Madrid.

Found this place thanks to reviews and was not disappointed! Great location, nice outside terrace and beautiful historic indoors. We were also very lucky to get a last minute table due to cancellation. The service was impeccable! Starting from the phone call for the reservation, all the way to when they received us and brought a warm stew while we waited de or our table until they served the desert. The food was also delicious, good quality ingredients and reasonable prices. We had the salmorejo (cold tomato soup), a delicious meat and a creamy chocolate mousse. I hardly put a 5 rating but these guys deserve it. Well done !

It’s pretty good, we waited for a while until we finally get a table, but the service was so great :) I think the paella tastes really nice but I don’t really think it should cost 40€.. I don’t really taste the difference between the ones u get in other restaurants that cost 20.. hmm maybe it’s my problem though

Best meal we had in Madrid. We were a group of four, Saturday night without a reservation and the staff were kind enough to sort us out with a table. The food was incredible, traditional Spanish with amazing ingredients. Ramone, our waiter, was super friendly and engaging - he gave us great recommendations on food/wine. Would 100% recommend.

La Mi Venta came highly recommended by our hotel, Barceló Torre de Madrid, for paella. Coincidentally, Barceló Torre de Madrid fell short of it's five star reputation. In any event, we arrived at the restaurant and assumed seats outside. Our waiter (who I will commend for the delightful service he provided), recommended the restaurant's grilled meats and explained the long cook time for paella. As a result, and while we waited for our paella, we ordered an assorted tapas dish with a side salad of tomato accompanied by a grilled pork steak. The assorted tapas left a lot to be desired, most items had a baby food (mush) consistency. Not surprisingly, we barely touched this dish. The tomatoes in olive oil were delicious and my partner found the grilled steak tasty (I found it bland and oily). Finally the paella arrived, with jumbo shrimp still in tact and baby shrimp that had not been deviened (intestinal lining). I'm not sure what exactly was involved in the kitchen prep, but I did not touch my main meal. Suffice to say, between the lackluster tapas and sloppy paella, all I ate were tomatoes at a cost of $173.14 CAD (€116)

Dropped by on a rainy day in Madrid for lunch right after Royal Palace visit. Impeccable hospitality with 2 small cups of homemade iberico pork soup as welcome ‘drink’. Food was superb - ordered a plate pf cold cuts, a green garden salad, and a grilled iberico pork, and a glass of house red. Delicious! Old school traditional establishment with a very chilled and cozy Spanish tapas vibe.

Lovely little cozy downstairs restaurant. We were very well looked after by Angie. We were greeted with bone broth, had an incredible T-bone steak and were given aperitifs on the house at the end. Perfect for my fiance's birthday and at a very fair price, highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience at La Mi Venta. Not only was the food fantastic, the service was exceptional and our waiter, Jonathan, provided Michelin star level service and made the entire dining experience special and memorable. We definitely wouldn’t mind visiting this restaurant again on our next trip to Madrid!

Hopefully you get to eat downstairs in the cellar room. The upstairs is also beautiful and has a nice atmosphere. We were seated downstairs in the back room which wasn't the best space. The iberian ham and goat cheese bites were a yummy way to start. The hake was wonderfully seasoned. Our server was not the friendliest and did not give us the best service.

  • 5/5 Julia W. 10 months ago on Google
The service is amazing and mindful. They start with serving bread with olive oil from Andalucia which is divine. You can share any kind of dishes if you want to taste a bit of everything. The tuna tartar tasted amazing and so did the goat cheese salad. It’s really worth the price.

We turned up with no reservation and were seated within 10 minutes, staff apologised for the wait but it wasn't an issue. The food was impeccable. The tomatoes in olive oil are the best tomatoes I've ever eaten and the seafood paella was beautiful. The best part of the evening was our wonderful server, Angie! She was so lovely, enthusiastic and passionate about the food at the restaurant. We had a great conversation with her and she brightened up our evening. Thank you Angie!

Everything was fresh (even fried potatoes) and comes with a strong, full taste of the element. So it totally depends on the person if it is to like or not. Service was really good and polite. We took 3 plates and 2 beers, total 64€.

Great place to have Spanish food. The tapas were delicious. We also had the entrecot which was grilled and tasted amazing. Wine selection also great. The service is as friendly and helpful. Recommend to make a reservation.

Made a reservation for outside seating. This place gets really busy, so reservation is recommended. Our server, Yonathan, was very thoughtful! We had really good jamon, paella and sangria. Paella takes about an hour to make it so having some other dishes and drinks helps. Also, pan (bread) is charged for 1.75€ per person. For dessert, torrija is very good!

Some of the best food I've ever had. Vincent took great care of us, including divining which red wine my dad would want the most and picking perfectly. The food was absolutely fabulous and the service was great. If you're going for a fancy meal, I recommend this whole heartedly.

What a great find on our first night in Madrid! My husband and I didn’t have a reservation (seems recommended) but we were seated after just a short wait. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating for English speaking guests. Jose was our server, and he was amazing! We took all of his menu recommendations and have no regrets. It was also neat sitting near the carving station. From the vino to Iberian ham & tomatoes to the pork and cod entrees, we absolutely loved our experience!

We had a great experience here last night. York, our server was the best we have had in Spain! Wonderful wine recommendation and fantastic olive oil with the bread. Only reason this is 4 and not 5 stars was that we didn’t really enjoy a few of the dishes (we have the tapas set menu). Overall would highly recommend but would try something else. Found on a quiet street with an (obstructed) sunset view). Make a reservation!

A brilliant way to finish our Spain trip -- our waiter was so lovely (as were all the staff), and we had some delicious seafood and wine. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or special occasion, especially in the indoor seating area! We would love to go back!!

29.06.2021 very nice terrasse on a quiet street near Royal Palace Please note there's massive building work taking place (tons of noise) , so better for dinner at the moment Charming waiter Food was nothing to talk about. Tuna tartar was at correct temperature but not tasty Same was true for the entrecote Wine by the glass (white) also not that great Ok for the location..but clearly better food options elsewhere

Charming traditional restaurant that takes pride in its food - providing the best and freshest ingredients. We tried the Andalusian olive oil, apparently the top 10 in the world, and it was delicious. The jamon, sea bass and tuna tartare all equally amazing.

  • 5/5 Christian K. 2 years ago on Google
The meat is cooked on an open fire and is just excellent (beef and pork). The service was excellent. For starters I recommend the ham, it's simply delicious. Deserts were probably a bit disappointing, not from a quality point of view but rather by the offering. I had the strudel. It was good but not very Spanish!

One of my favorites in Madrid. Everything was excellent from food to service to atmosphere. We booked a table outside, got there exactly at 1pm, and we were able to take our pick of which table we wanted. We got one right at the edge with a view of the palace. Because no one was in front of us, it felt like we were having lunch all by ourselves. The weather was perfectly sunny without a breeze, so sitting in the shade was enjoyable. Most of our lunch was in the shade. By 3pm, the sun started hitting our table. Food wise, they are known for meat, so we started with their tapas sampler and a plate of sliced meat. We didn't like the tapas very much, but the sliced meat was delicious. For mains, we got this oxtail crepe and the entrecote - both incredible. When we come back, I'm planning on pre ordering the baby goat because it needs to be ordered ahead of time. Service was great. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine.

Searched google for authentic spanish restaurants and was not disappointed. We let the waiter order for us as we aren't familiar with the food and he did an amazing job, especially considering we don't know Spanish. Menu is quite pricey but worth it for the quality of the food

We went to this place for a lunch with Iberico ham and charcoal grilled T-Bone steak in the back of our minds. It did not disappoint to say the least. Sitting on the terrace we were welcomed by extremely professional and friendly staff, guiding us through the menu and advising us which wines would best accommodate our dishes. We ended up staying for hours, enjoying the food, the wine, and the good company from the waiters who actually take time to make your stay extra special. A real gem.

So so so good. Didn't have a reservation and they were very accommodating. We had the seafood paella which was delicious! I wish they had an option of switching out what to put in the paella, but nevertheless super flavorful n absolutely LOVED IT! The staff n ambience was perfect. Finished the night with a complimentary shot of Jaegermeister (which I never had and loved btw). Def come here for an authentic meal.

Excellent food. What attracted me to this restuarant was the smells of meals. First time I ate the salad with seafood. Second time the tuna tartar. Very creative flavors on the tuna with a nice guacamole. I wish I were in Madrid longer to try more dishes.

We had a starter (croquetas) and a paella divided by three. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. We thought it was a bit expensive given what we had, but overall we had a nice evening. Nice service as well.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences in our eight days in Madrid. Every dish was fantastic. Great wine and gin list too! We ordered the Iberian secreto, the paella, and the steak for dinner. We also ordered some dessert. Highly recommend this place. A very filling and pleasant dining experience.

Excellent food and staff! Everything is fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend tuna tartare with avocado, fried cod with batter and smashed potatoes, grilled squid, beef steaks. Prices are reasonable. Location is quiet and close to many historic buildings.

Our first time trying out the 100% acorn fed Iberian ham. Thanks to this restaurant! It’s fantastic!!! Great service, wonderful food, had such an amazing night at this place!!! The plus is it’s next door to the royal garden. Don’t forget to take a walk ~
