It's the landmark of Karaikudi. The Koppudaiya Amman is the main deity of Karaikudi. My Aththaan took me to this temple a day after our Marriage. It's midsized but a unique temple. The moola-vigraham is made of ayin-ponn, and the same moola-vigraham is used for all occasions. Every year in the Tamil month of Masi, a grand 10 days long festival is celebrated, starting with the flowers offerings and ends with the temple car festival.
