Recently got ASI permission to excavate more. The site is located ahead east border of Pudukkottai town. The only earliest structure found in Tamilnadu with Fort & Bastion structure. It may was a gold and other metalic furnace. The temple name known as porpanaikottai which means golden palm fort.

Had been gone there about 7yrs back still I remember that smell of sand. Most powerful god, peaceful place, that was amazing goosebump moment.
