We went this weekend as a family of 9+2 kids. The only advantage is that the place is very near to the temple. The entrance and the ambience gives you a dirty look and it stinks so badly. The bird cage near the lift has a very foul smell and is maintained badly. The lift are rusty that makes you want to not touch it with bare hands. The room is average. They use solar power for hot water but it can hardly be called hot water. It's not even warm. The buckets and mugs stink as well. The bedsheets/blankets they provide are very thin and flimsy that you can't bear the cold if the AC is switched on and once you switch it off, it's just mosquito bites and sweaty. We were questioned by the Hotel Authorities as to why the extra bed they provided was wet the first morning (We checked in late night and slept. The next morning we left to temple. We were told that the beds were wet after we came back) and we literally thought we made a mistake at our end. The next morning (2nd day), we woke up to water flowing in the corridors and we were told by a set of our family members staying opposite our room that the water had entered their room in the night through balcony and it started flowing out. When we told the authorities about it, they said the staffs who are supposed to clean it will come only at 9am. There is no staff to serve you coffee/tea to your room just because it's raining. We literally had to scold them to get the corridors cleaned fearing the kids or anyone might slip and fall. Not recommended for any family with kids and elders. Worst stay ever. Tye room tariffs look cheaper and nominal but it's just too high for all the negatives.

Okay stay in temple Street for that price range. But they didn't give bill, don't know why and they told will send in WhatsApp, still now not received. Okay for one night stay, if they had restaurant it would have been good. Hot water coming all day which is good.

Very near to temple merku gopura vasal...Room was neat..Good enough for one day stay..Ac worked well..They didn't provide cot for the extra bed we asked...Toilet flush was very slow..Main concern is the food in their restaurant is very very bad... Complementary breakfast was worst...Instead u can have food in the nearby restaurant named Abirami..It was of good taste and quality...

Worst hotel. Cheaters. They are serving half cooked rice to make people eat less. To the Management - "We don't want unlimited meals at least serving a limited meal with a properly cooked food".

Though they served morning tiffin to me and others, it was clarified by my son in law that they have their own lodge in the building and they prepare foods for the persons only who stay there. But, seeing the board, as our our grandchildren were also hungry, me, my daughter, son-in-law, 3 grand children entered the hotel and ordered for dosas, pooris, idlis etc. Temple going devotees also then entered the hotel and ordered for items. But, I noticed that the servers were little careless in serving foods to us and others too. But, foods were tasty. When we paid the bill and left out from the hotel, my son-in-law got information from them and clarified that they are not proving food for outsiders and only for their lodge holders. In such case, they must remove the name board immediately and let the devotees to search for food from other sources, is my strong opinion. Owners of the lodge must take a serious note of this and immediately remove their name board. That's all. Thanks.

Rating - 3.7/5 I have stayed here a couple of times during my visit to Vaiteeswaran Kovil. I feel its ok for a general temple visit. You can't expect big as this is a very small town. Charged 750/- for a Non-AC single occupancy. I felt price is quite higher for a single occupancy. Room was quite neat and clean. Room size ok for 2 persons. Bedsheet, Towel as amenities. TV with almost all of the Tamil channels. Its also not very far from Railway station. Autos from Station charge somewhere between 50/- to 80/- rupees depending on demand. Overall my stay is good. +ve 1. Walkable distance to Temple 2. Near by Hotels available for food 3. Card Payment, GPAY available -ve 1. Solar Hot Water. Hence will be difficult during rainy times.

3.5 stars This is a no nonsense, non extravaganza kind of hotel. Steps away from the temple, the location is definitely a plus point. This is a 2 star hotel. So, reset expectations accordingly. The sheets were clean but extremely thin. It's too hot without an ac but the sheet is very thin for any kind of warmth. We did not try the restaurant on premise. Lift was working and bare bones that can accommodate only 2 people with barely 2 suitcases.
