The
highlights
of
this
restaurant
are
definitely
the
service
and
atmosphere!
The
interior
is
very
cozy
and
has
a
lot
of
nice
touches
to
make
it
feel
like
a
home.
Since
this
is
located
in
Old
Ellicott
City,
it
makes
for
a
great
date
spot;
you
can
walk
around
the
city
and
grab
a
meal
at
this
tavern.
The
beers
were
quite
good.
I
got
the
Rumpleweizen,
which
had
nice
rum
and
cream
notes
paired
with
a
classic
caramel
beer
taste.
We
also
tried
the
Mild
Manor'd
Amber,
which
was
your
typical,
but
good,
amber
ale.
I
thought
the
Chicken
Sandwich
(Bird's
the
Word)
and
the
Main
Street
Margherita
Pizza
were
good.
Nothing
exceptional
but
still
good.
The
chicken
sandwich
was
light
on
flavor
but
has
a
subtle
crunch.
The
Margherita
Pizza
was
also
good;
very
light
on
the
tomato
but
the
crust
was
very
light,
fluffy,
and
had
a
nice
char.
If
you
really
want
a
good
chicken
sandwich,
check
out
Hot
Lola's
in
Northern
Virginia.
We
also
tried
the
black
bean
burger
which
I
can
wholeheartedly
recommend
to
AVOID.
To
be
frank,
it's
taste
reminded
me
of
body
odor.
I'm
not
sure
if
they
were
trying
to
mix
some
Hispanic
influence
into
the
burger,
but
regardless
it
was
not
good.
Overall,
for
Ellicott
City,
this
place
is
good.
For
the
most
part,
the
food
was
decent,
but
the
highlight
was
definitely
the
atmosphere
and
location.
