Nice beer garden in Old Ellicott City! It's located across the street from the tavern, but you'll get table service (a server will come to deliver your order.) The menu includes typical pub-style dishes (burgers, sandwiches, pizza, fries, salads) and of course lots of Manor Hill beer options. The food is good, but not spectacular. We enjoyed the brisket and the crab sandwiches. Their IPA beers are good too (if you like IPAs), just know that the individual beers served at the restaurant are more expensive than the carryout 6 packs. We'll probably come back here because of the ambiance. It's pretty nice to sit outside near the trees and have a good conversation with friends while listening to live music being played nearby. And this is a friendly place for dogs and kids. We saw several canine patrons being served fresh water and treats. And kids seem to enjoy playing with the rocks and the trees. Stop by if you need to quench your thirst or if you are looking for a nice spot to have food with friends and family.

Good food, service, and vibe. The pizzas are good, we got the Philly Cheese Steak pizza and the Spinach Artichoke dip pizza. The sangria was delicious.

Super cute tavern with a decent size menu. Great Bloody Marys with a lot of frill. The crab dip with mini funnel cakes was yummy and different. Their chicken sandwich and bacon fries are mouth watering! Everything was delicious. Honestly you can't go wrong with Historic Ellicott City.

This place is massive! The staff were all so very polite and welcoming. I had a root beer and Cobbecue salad. It was so good, wanted the to box my left over salad and the bowl it came in. Per my colleagues, the pepperoni pizza and Grilled Chicken smash (?) were delicious as well. $48 for 3 hungry realtors wasn’t bad at all.

Food is amazing. This particular place has a very nice set up, it has a restaurant like in the first floor and a bar in the second. Also, if you ate lucky enough and there's a nice weather you can go to their beer garden. We fell in love of this place and definitely we are going to come back. The food is outstanding, well prepared, tons of flavor, etc. We tried the street fries, which are wooow! Super Yummy 😋, we got the Truffle Shuffle pizza and it was amazing, the crust came just right, thin, crunchy, and the Tavern burger, everything well cooked and seasoned. Also, we tried house brewed beers, these are the best. We just loved this place.

Start off with only bad thing I can say, but it did not reflect my star rating. We had a group of 8 and they would not let us reserve that many people. So I made 2 reservation of 4 at the same time with no problem. When I called a few days before and explained the scenario, which they were only some what accommodating. Funny part was when we arrived were told a 10 top is cash out and they will be sitting us there. Strange how I couldn't get 8 but they had 10. Anyway it all worked out for a friends birthday dinner. The place is old and awesome. Our server was fun and informative. The place was busy, but food came out pretty fast. We order a bunch of apps, drinks and meals. Everything was spot on. It's a pretty unclear on the website, but the beer garden is across the street and down a hill. So there is no way to really visit both. They were running out of many pizza toppings and should been a little easy on our checks because of that. So folks ended up order more expensive dishes after being told twice that they we out of something,. Two of the guys really wanted the Brisket sandwich, but again they were out of it at 7pm. Again I'm not going to let that affect my review. The food that we did get was great and the drinks top notch. Will return for sure!! Maybe a fall afternoon in the beer garden.

If I could give more stars I would. We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here. The food was wonderful. We had three choices - Salmon, Gnocchi, and short ribs. Each was amazing. The mashed potatoes were better than mine and I am a pretty good cook. The butterscotch cheese was to die for. The private room was really beautiful. But the stars of fhe show were Megan, Evan and Carson. They did such a great job taking care of us. One of our guests spilled wine all over their suit and within seconds Evan had a class of soda water and a towel to them.

This is a must eat! The staff was fantastic and every single thing we ate was the best thing of the night. We started with Bacon Fat Fries and ate them so quickly, I missed taking a picture of them! The kids LOVED every bite too. Stop in and and grab a beer and some fries at the very least!!!

Food was extremely good, but the service was well below expectations. Our waitress was nice, but was not attentive at all. Came over for our orders and the check thats it. Maybe one time in between. Very slow considering how empty it was and with so many employees. Some physical menus would also be appreciated as not everyone can access the menu through a cellphone and using a cellphone at the table is a bit rude. As far as food goes, I would reccomend the brisket sandwich, the sauce was savory and sweet. The ranch was above average with a bit of spice to it. The pickled tomatoes added a very interesting twist of flavors to the beefy brisket and sourdough bread.

It is a charming old tavern worth visiting if you're visiting Old Ellicott City. Two friends and I went for a weekday lunch and split a salad, an appetizer ("Maryland State Fair" - funnel cake & crab dip), and a pizza, and ate to our hearts' content. Salad was amazing and the pizza was delicious. The dip was a little on the salty side (to be expected of a crab dip) but the fried dough to be dipped was a bit dry and underwhelming. I also tried the draft beer flight and it was lovely. Overall, the meal was very pleasing and the service immaculate. We'll be back!

Quick service with a great menu and atmosphere for the whole family—with unexpected natural lighting in a “tavern” environment. A step up from your typical family night out, each pizza feeds one person, so everyone can express their own culinary personality! 🍕💃🏻

The highlights of this restaurant are definitely the service and atmosphere! The interior is very cozy and has a lot of nice touches to make it feel like a home. Since this is located in Old Ellicott City, it makes for a great date spot; you can walk around the city and grab a meal at this tavern. The beers were quite good. I got the Rumpleweizen, which had nice rum and cream notes paired with a classic caramel beer taste. We also tried the Mild Manor'd Amber, which was your typical, but good, amber ale. I thought the Chicken Sandwich (Bird's the Word) and the Main Street Margherita Pizza were good. Nothing exceptional but still good. The chicken sandwich was light on flavor but has a subtle crunch. The Margherita Pizza was also good; very light on the tomato but the crust was very light, fluffy, and had a nice char. If you really want a good chicken sandwich, check out Hot Lola's in Northern Virginia. We also tried the black bean burger which I can wholeheartedly recommend to AVOID. To be frank, it's taste reminded me of body odor. I'm not sure if they were trying to mix some Hispanic influence into the burger, but regardless it was not good. Overall, for Ellicott City, this place is good. For the most part, the food was decent, but the highlight was definitely the atmosphere and location.

The food was great. Absolutely recommend their pizza. The Maryland State Fair appetizer was so good! I was pleasantly surprised that they used real crab meat and not imitation crab. Overall, it was a fun experience during happy hour. They were pretty busy, but the wait time for food and drinks was fairly quick.

Easily on my list of Top 5 places to grab a burger in Maryland. I ordered the Chef Burger. Deliciously Outstanding!! Made a reservation and arrived 15mins early, and was seated early. This restaurant has plenty of seating. Very spacious. The building was filled to capacity with patrons, but it didn’t feel overcrowded. Servers were very attentive. While there is no parking at the restaurant. There is a big parking lot within walking distance just 1-2 blocks away. Main Street Ellicott City is charming, romantic, cozy, peaceful, adventurous, artsy, etc. It’s a win-win no matter the reason for your visit.

Great food, beers, and atmosphere. Loved the food pairings and the beers tasted great with my brisket melt. My husband got the tavern burger which he loved and my daughter’s chicken sandwich could have used three buns instead of one to wrap around the massive chunk of chicken on her sandwich. Other dishes being served (pizza and salad) looked just as tasty. Would definitely recommend

Not a bad place to eat! Ellicott City is pretty, and the restaurant’s atmosphere is kind of fun. We sat near the bar upstairs I ordered the chicken sandwich with street fries. The fries were fantastic, and the sandwich was fairly decent. I also tried the Buffalo Brussels sprouts; I didn’t care for them, but my friends thought they were great Service could’ve been a little better, but it was fine, and the price was reasonable enough

Walked in from freezing cold night into a warm rustic tavern with the smell of fire baked pizza. The house/flagship IPA is really a great beer!! The service was awesome there and the staff was very nice. Ready to go back!! Oh and the bacon fat fries are soooo good. Highly recommend.

Delicious. Their pizzas are fresh and the crust is really chewy and good. I had the most unique pizza I've ever had and I ate the entire thing. Their burgers are thick and they aren't shy with the toppings, and the chicken sandwich is massive. It's only a small walk from the nearest parking so it's absolutely worth it.

Wow we had an amazing time tonight. Went out to celebrate a huge event. Service was on point! Food was absolutely delicious! The Chef came out and chatted with us for a bit. Could tell the food comes from a place of love! We will most definitely be back!

Great lunch at Manor Hill Tavern. The atmosphere is cozy, the service and food on point! We had the buffalo wings with old bay and the chicken sandwich generously coated with chipotle mayo and sweet slow cooked onions. Got a side of Street fries, and I can tell ya it was worth the extra 7$ for this treat. To anyone visiting Ellicott city, this is a a really good address you'll want to give it a try 😉

Wonderful restaurant in Historical Ellicott City, a gem and best place to be on Friday evening! Servers are great, and the food is so delicious! One of the best burgers I had, topped with a sunny side up fried egg with bacon and smoked cheese. Pizzas are awesome made in a wood fire brick oven! We will definitely be back soon !

5-star service, 3-star brunch. This was my first visit to Manor Hill, and I went specifically for brunch. Everyone was really-super-wonderfully friendly, from the host to our server to the food runner. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! It’s rare, lately, to work with genuinely friendly servers, and I’d go back just for that experience. Yay! The patio is small, shady, and quiet. A lovely little spot to eat and chat with friends! The patio is at the back of the restaurant and appeared to be accessible only by climbing two flights of stairs. Fine for me, but definitely not ideal if anyone in your group has mobility challenges, so be aware of that if you’re expressly looking for outside dining. I ordered fried eggs and bacon—both excellent!—and their “pearl waffle.” The waffle was quite sugary and oddly dense and dry, and after a couple bites I asked to swap it for toast. I’ve never had a waffle like that before, so I’m not sure if it’s a regional thing or a Manor Hill thing…? It was so dense I had to saw at it with a knife to cut it. The server was super chill about my request and brought me an order of toast instead. I asked for jelly or jam but the runner told me they didn’t have any…? My sis got the avocado toast, which she gave 3 stars. The avocado was thinly smeared on the bread then topped with a LOT of onion and chopped bacon and a drizzle of what tasted like thousand island dressing. It was good enough, but less like avocado toast and more like an open-faced bacon sandwich, if that’s a thing. The coffee and mimosas were solid, if forgettable. I’d like to go back for lunch or dinner to try their main menu. The terrific service warrants a second visit, even if their brunch fair was only average. Plus they have a cute “beer garden” patio across the street from the main entrance. Thanks so much for the friendly service, y’all!

This is the loveliest place and I bring out of town friends when they visit. The crust on my truffle shuffle was crispy, chewy perfection. The service was unmatched and Noah took great care of me the last time I went. If you’re craving a unique meal made and served by the people who take pride in their work, Manor Hill Tavern is the ticket.

I was quickly seated at a nice table looking out a window which was nice since I was dining alone. I ordered the pizza with onions, peppers and pineapple (yes I am one of those people). Very good. Server also suggested a mocktail which was very refreshing.

Great restaurant. This was the second time we were here and everything was great. Our server was super friendly and food was delicious, Especially the crab dip! I am so I had the raspberry hard cider which was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely stop here if you are in the area.

I went on Wednesday and sat upstairs. Good food, good service from our table server, terrible drink service. Before going I called and I asked if they still make orange crushes by crushing fresh oranges, which is literally why that drink is called that. What I got was NOT freshly squeezed. It did not taste good. I know the difference. I was disappointed. I’m guessing the bartender upstairs was too lazy to make it correctly. I’ll be going elsewhere for my favorite drink from now on 😏

Such an amazing eatery! I had the BEST crab cake sandwich of my life. Still dreaming about it! The bacon fat fries came highly recommended by our waiter, and he was right. Greatest flavor ever!! Was only there for a visit, but would love to go back!

We came to Manor Hill Tavern on a recommendation from a local store owner on Main St and we are glad we did!! We were promptly seated and greeted by the loveliest server. Our food arrived a bit out of order as half the dinner arrived ahead of the other dinners and actually ahead of the appetizers but it really didnt damper our experience. The Tavern Burger was absolutely delicious. I ordered Med Well and it arrived Med Rare but Im not too picky so I went ahead and dove im for a wonderful burger bursting with flavor! The Bacon grease fries were amazing as well. The Chipotle Chicken sandwich was also loved and it was said that the tomato ranch and bbq sauce were incredible. The old bay wings arrived and were crispy and delicious. Next up came the 3 pizzas i cant remember which were ordered but one arrived undercover and when the lid was lifted the smoky display was pretty cool. It added a unique flavor to the pizza as well. My son so ordered the mac n cheese...ohhh myyyy gooodness...definitely do yourself the favor and order this....it's absolutely devine. Overall wonderful experience and the baby hiccups didnt damper our meal at all, we just went with the flow, were happy and will most definitely go back....oh and before i go....their Tequilla Beer was.....YES!!! Just do it if you enjoy a few spirits.

Best burgers around by far. The chef and the tavern are both solid solid choices. We haven’t ventured past the burgers yet, but all of the pub fair looks very solid and it all has a cheeky twist on it, so definitely worth a try. The bacon fat fries are sweet and savory and even a little sour, definitely worth the $2 up charge. Our first round of fries was soggy and weren’t holding their own and we asked our waitress for a replacement- she got it without question or hesitation and the new fries were hot and crispy and delivered with speed 🏎 I have no feelings about the beer because I’m not a wheat person, they’re all mold mannered (they even have one called the mild manor’s) and go down easy on a hot summer day Pro tip, everything is pretty heavy so we usually just split the burger and fries and take a walk after

We love Manor Hill! Great ambience and a great selection of drinks. For vegans: there are a lot of great finger food options as well as customizable plant-based/vegan meat and cheese options, so you’ll have plenty to eat 👍
