Beautiful park hidden just minutes outside the city. Picnicking, hiking trails, or just sit on a bench and enjoy the singing birds!

A very nice park, with good walking paths. There are several nice trails ranging from less than a mile to around 5 miles; all pretty easy, and well maintained. There are some parts of the trails that hold water well, so where appropriate shoes. It has childrens playground as well as a doggy playground, and plenty of nice sights to see throughout. Restrooms and Porta pots in different areas.

If you live around Baltimore, it’s definitely worth a visit for a chill out or to hike the trails. I know in and outs of this park and trails in it and I used to jog on one of its trails regularly.. Posting Few shots from different days actually seasons.

Has a great paved path that leads to the visitors center, pavilion, children's park, and dog park. The trails in the woods are well maintained. They have paths for walking as well as biking.

Loved visiting this park ever since I was young and saw the ownership transition from Baltimore City to County along with the changes that came with it. The scenery here is beautiful throughout the season and the trails are super accessible for most people. The Nature Center (with a restroom), picnic tables, gazebos, and playgrounds are nice additions to the park for a family-friendly outing. The park rangers are super helpful and nice to visitors of the park if you need directions to a trail or just answering general questions. There’s lots to do at the park from hiking, visiting the dog park, photographing wildlife, and fishing on the lake. As far as fishing goes, you can catch bluegill, sunfish, crappie, largemouth bass, bullhead catfish and carp. Fishing here can be good at times and there are different species to catch year round. For being located right on the Baltimore City-County border this park has lots to offer as far as outdoor activities.

Although it can sometimes smell like sewage, especially in the hot months and when it hasn't rained in a while, it's an otherwise lovely place to visit for a little picnic or a hike.

On Thanksgiving day I went to this place for the first time. I would have gone to Cylburn Arboretum; it was closed for the holiday. This place is clean and very active. People arrived in groups. Some do not step to the side with their friends or dogs. I did see a couple of park rangers and cameras which made me feel safe. The parking was a little inconvenient. Cars are parked a little walking distance away from the active park area. Unless you have a handicap sticker on your car, please be prepared for that little walk. There was a trail gate near were I parked; but the gate was closed with a lock and "closed" sign. I did see a person walk under the trail gate. There was a small wood bridge that led to a light rail stop. Some people parked there and used that bridge for access to the park. I felt a little uncomfortable that day and the park was confusing. I will go back there again.

Beautiful park to check out if you're in the area. Soothing sounds come from the dam, great playground for kids, trails to explore with your favorite furry friends and a great nature center. Take lunch and have a seat at one of the many picnic tables available. There is a steep hill but not to bad. Port-a-potties available if needed.

Really awesome nature center with live reptiles and other animals. Coloring and different programs. Also a really nice park with swings, sand area, assortment of climbing ropes. And a dog park

What a great place! Scenery, picnic tables, covered pavilions, and both paved and dirt walking trails. We did the 5 mile route (from the Falls Road Light Rail parking lot, past the dog park, then onto the red trail and back) and it didn't disappoint. Some of the trail sections were muddy but there was either space on both sides or stones to step on. No biggie! The trails were easy to follow with the post markers and blazes. Lots of people walking with family and dogs. No visible litter either! Back at the lake you can also fish and use a kayak. No rentals though, at least none that we saw. Overall, it was a good time and we will be coming back.

Great park and staff. A bit busy. Lost my prescription glasses here, black aviators with amber lenses, Safety glasses. staff have been helpful. It’s nice to not feel alone when I need help.

Having had the chance to drive around to a couple parks in Baltimore, I will say β€” beautiful. Maybe it was just coming after a rain on a hot day, but the park was stunning to drive through and to sit for moments to just enjoy the scenery. Worth the little drive out of the city to see! Note: The turnoff the highway is quick and could use better signage.

Love this place! Great spot to get away without having to leave city limits. And it's just big enough you could totally set up a hammock somewhere and chill without being bothered by anyone. 10/10 would recommend

Great park with beautiful views while hiking. The pink trail does not allow you to complete the loop, you have to turn around before the railroad tracks.

I’ve been coming here less than once per year for all over a decade. This year I decided to come and really walk around and see as much as I can. My four grandchildren are all here going fishing today. It is just beautiful to have such a beautiful place for us city dwellers to enjoy without planning a vacation.

This place is fantastic! Free, green fun. By taking the Falls Road Light Rail to the park entrance, you'll need to walk about 15 minutes to the picnic area. There is handicap parking available there. The trails are well marked and pleasant. The map at the entrance highlights which are for bikes, walking, running, etc. This place is a gem!

The woman at the front desk would not allow my SERVICE DOG into the nature center, repeatedly calling her a β€œpet.” She became very loud and argumentative when I insisted that legally she was required to admit the dog that has been trained to support me with my disability, and she repeatedly denied us entry. Finally my husband asked her to call her boss, and they told her to let us in, but I did not feel safe or welcome as a person with a disability.

It's a really peaceful and clean park. There are lots of visually interesting places you can use as photo backgrounds here. Also, there are plenty of benches to sit and trails to hike.

Beautiful park with easy access, lots of shade available. The only drawback for me would be the poorly maintained portapotty.

A good spot to take a long walk in North Baltimore! Beautiful trails with some interesting art sprinkled along your path. A little busy on weekends, but a nice way to be outside. Also the trails are a great place to see a ton of different birds! There’s also a bakery nearby if you want to get coffee or bring a little picnic to the park :)
