I
would
not
recommend
this
practice
to
anyone.
While
my
experience
with
one
of
the
vets
and
vet
techs
was
good,
the
office
staff
can
be
very
rude.
One
interaction
was
particularly
bad:
I
had
an
appointment
for
my
dog
to
have
a
tooth
extracted.
I
met
with
the
vet
beforehand,
and
I
thought
he
would
be
the
one
performing
the
procedure.
When
I
followed
up
the
day
before
the
appointment
(they
were
behind
on
their
calls/emails
as
there
had
been
a
holiday),
I
learned
that
a
dental
tech
would
be
performing
the
procedure.
Doing
due
diligence
for
my
pet,
I
asked
questions.
I
asked
about
anesthesia,
for
the
dental
tech's
full
name,
and
if
there
would
be
vet
supervision
(those
nerves
go
right
to
the
brain
and
the
top
back
molars
are
doozies
to
extract).
The
office
staff
became
very
defensive
and
hostile
and
said
they
didn't
give
out
personal
information
about
their
employees.
I
was
surprised
by
her
reaction
and
explained
that
I
did
not
mean
any
disrespect,
I
was
only
trying
to
make
sure
I
was
doing
my
best
by
my
12-year-old
senior
dog
in
asking
these
questions.
She
reassured
me
and
we
hung
up.
When
I
arrived
the
next
morning,
I
was
told
she
had
canceled
my
appointment
because
of
my
concerns
and
that
they
had
left
a
voicemail,
which
I
did
not
receive.
It
felt
like
she
was
punishing
me
for
having
the
audacity
to
ask
due
diligence
questions.
Though,
I
feel
like
it
was
a
blessing
in
disguise
because
I
had
the
procedure
safely
done
by
a
vet
for
far
less
than
their
estimate
and
it
felt
safer
than
having
a
dental
tech
who
goes
only
by
a
first
name
perform
the
procedure.
