Was busy around the time I went but was able to grab a seat around the bar. Staff were very friendly and made a special Malibu bay breeze(as shown in picture) which was delicious. Order Mac n cheese balls to go and was still hot when I made it home. Would return back in the future.

Great hometown bar and restaurant. Food is always excellent. Their menu is more than just bar food, their dinner specials are excellent too. Large portions, fast service, cold beer. Waitresses are friendly and very quick to grab you another drink or clear dishes off your table. If you like sports, there are tons of TV so no matter where you sit, you will see the game. There is a large back area where the games were on a very large projector screen. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Had my daughter baby shower here today and the food and everything was awesome, the staff did a great job in having it all set up before we arrived to put the final touches. Lindsay and her staff did a wonderful job in making sure everyone was taken, care of from food, drinks and cleaning up! Thank you so much for making it less stressful on us. I would highly recommend this place for any event. I know if I need to I will be back and so will everyone else, they enjoyed and were pleased at such a nice place!!!

Great food and drinks. I hope the Apple Cider Sangria isn't seasonal, but there are pleanty of great beers if it is.

I have lived in 7 different states, been to arguably over 200 bars and it is hard pressed to find another "local bar feel" establishment that is classy yet super fun and relaxed as this one... and don't even get me started on the food and bartenders.. They have your basic burgers and salads (burgers are hand pressed deliciousness and their salads are huge, fresh and loaded!) but they have a weekly hand made rotating menu that will keep you coming back to see what the excellent kitchen has next! This week their menu had a Big Mac Egg Roll appetizer and a Apple Wood Bbq Bacon burger... both were absolutely amazing! The list of great bartenders and servers is endless but if you have Kelly, Alexis, Christine or Natalie you are for sure in good hands! They are the salt of the earth and put other bartenders to shame! ... and oh yeah Lindsey and Jason are cool too! All and all an amazing bar and restaurant!

Tried this place out and were very unhappy with the burgers. Definitely the worst burgers we ever had. Low quality meat, no flavor and super greasy. Service was friendly but very slow.

We were looking for a place to watch the New Orleans Saints Game and found Happy Valley Sports Bar listed. We walked in today and found a friendly, well appointed bar. The Wait Staff was awesome and so were the food and drinks. We had a wonderful afternoon with a great view of our game. Also - bathrooms were an A plus. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.

One of the cleanest restaurants in our area. I can also hand out the award for cleanest bathrooms. Food is great and large portions. Love the wings and tater tots are always a go to. Great place!!!

You will not find a nicer place in Mid Valley area. Awesome bartenders and wonderful food. The most spotless restaurant/bar I have ever been in. This weeks special Chicken Caesar wrap is delicious!!!!! If you haven’t tried this spot you absolutely don’t know what you are missing!!!!!! 🥗🍹🍺

Nice neighborhood sports bar. Very good bar food, solid tap list. Exceptionally friendly staff. Many TVs. A little tight, but in a cozy sort of way. Very clean. One relatively minor critique: the two anchor TVs behind the bar, playing the same game, kept buffering and getting out of sync, at one point going completely dark for an extended period at a critical time in the game. Something to consider for a sports bar.

We hosted a baby shower at Happy Valley and everything was perfect! The food was delicious and Lindsey & the entire staff is great to work with! The space is beautiful and can nicely accommodate both smaller and larger gatherings.

No chance I ever walk in here again. The place is clean, very nice design to represent Penn State Nittany Lions, but the food and service was so bad, it's not even funny. Came here with my family and friends to have a night out, we waited over 20 minutes just to get drinks. Gave a pass, being it was busy. We ordered food, my kids didn't get what they ordered, instead shared a meal since food took so long. I ordered Hot Garlic boneless wings, the sauce tasted like spicy vinegar, not to mention how cold the food was of how long it sat waiting to get to the table. The gal bringing food to the table gave our table of nachos to the family next to us, even though they were there and ordered WELL after us. We brought up some of the miscues and it was attributed to "We usually arent this busy here, so we are short staffed." By the time our food and apps made it to the table, it was AN HOUR AND HALF waiting. We got to the place just before 7pm, and we didnt get pur apps and meals until about 830pm. Despicable, honestly. My kids got their mozzarella logs WAY BEFORE any adult got food, so naturally they were done eating and bored by the time we were done eating. Never again will I come here to eat, especially during football season, when a sports bar cant keep up with the demand..

The establishment was modern & clean and staff was pretty good. However, i cannot see myself returning due to the high prices, innacurate prices reflected on menu, and small portions. The jumbo wings were listed as 9.99. But when the bill came out, they were 14.99. Thats a 50% markup from what was listed on the menu. I have seen restaurants have innacurate prices on their websites, but never on a physical menu that they provide to you at the location itself. Btw, if you read some other reviews on this place, you will see that i am not the only one saying this about the wing prices. Calling the wings "jumbo" is a little bit of a stretch in my opinion. I eat A LOT of wings from differents places and i have had them much bigger. I ordered wing bites to go for my wife and the portion was very small (about the size of 6 chicken nuggets). Normally when i get her wing bites, she can only eat half, but not this time. No chance we were going to have leftovers. I noticed many other things on the menu that are 13, 14, 15 dollars, but those same things are 8, 9, 10 at other places i usually go to. Thats why i ordered wings, which were supposed to be 10 bucks. Without getting into specifics, beer prices are very high too (about 1-3 dollars higher depending on the beer) compared to similar establishments. I know i might get a response to this review with statements like "our expenses have gone up", etc. However, this applies to every single bar, not just happy valley! They dont have to pay millions in advertising like restaurant chains or pay extremely high rent like restaurants in a heavy commercial district. This is just a local neighborhood bar in a lower income residential area.

Seems like a nice little neighborhood spot, but it's not really. Kitchen closes early, but you don't know that until you get there. Bartenders are more interested in getting their cleaning done more than anything.

Went with a group and sat in the outside section. The extra crispy wings and fresh cut fries were quite good. However, the wings are expensive at $1.50/wing ($15/10 wings). This restaurant (like a handful of others in the area) continue to charge wings at "market price" and aren't transparent about this unless you know to ask. This led to a group next to us being shocked when they saw the bill. Wing prices have now decreased to pre-pandemic levels so this practice is questionable.

Had a great meal and great service. Glad I ventured away from the chains by the hotel. And the didn't throw me out because I had Purdue shirt on, but it easy game day. :-)
