We ate in this restaurant 4 years ago and the food was just EXCELLENT at that time. The restaurant has apparently been sold to new people with little/no knowledge about lebanese food. The food did not look lebanese and it didnt taste lebanese either. The food was not tasty at all to be honest, and luckily the portions were small! The price level is extremely high. The restaurant even charges you for the forks, knives and the empty plates that you are using! This "lebanese" restaurant has unfortunately NOTHING to do with lebanese food! STAY AWAY!

Very unimpressed, had a large party pre party table of of 20, half the table didn’t get their food 3 hours later.. still didn’t receive my food and neither did 4 others, settling up the bill owner then proceeded to call the cops to say we “stole food” and “lied” charged for stuff we didn’t receive anything. Just very unimpressed I don’t recommend anyone coming here due to my experience being a clown show!

Terrible service - waited over 3 hours for main courses. There were 2 waiters. One of whom seemed to be videoing on his phone quite a lot. Terrible food - when it did arrive it was of poor quality with tough meat & a number of our party had no food arrive at all! Filthy toilets - ladies cubicle was disgusting & could be smelt from the main room so the staff must have been able to smell it. Then the owner was just plain rude when challenged. Not a place to return to.

Came with a large group pre-booked with plenty of notice. We were the first group who arrived and ordered food, still waiting on a starter we ordered nearly 3 hours ago !!! The staff said there was only 1 person in the kitchen, absolutely ridiculous. Atrocious service. Would've been decency to at least let us know the food would be slow as there was only 1 chef. In the end we all got up and left as 3 hours in and only half our group were fed. 10% discount for what I can only describe as the most disgusting service I have ever experienced. Manager was useless and unhelpful. The worst? ZERO APOLOGY. Clearly only cares about squeezing all the profits she can at the expense of basic customer service. Oh, she also wanted to call the police on us for stealing food. At least prison food would be better than this trash palace. Also, they'll give you complementary olives and bread without letting you know it costs...AND charge you in the bill ! Booking was at 8pm. Left at 11:15pm on an empty stomach.

We were a big group but we waited for over 3 hours and half the food still did not turn up. Problems happen but there was no apology and then the owner tried to charge is for the full meal. The food that did turn up was average at best. The ladies toilets were dirty. All in all a terrible night and we will never return

Unfortunately, this restaurant has really slipped in the last years. It has gone from an elegant and charming restaurant with excellent service to an elegant decor that is spoiled by less than mediocre service and food

This restaurant has been in the area for years. Much of its old charm has been lost. The elegance the establishment used to radiate is missing. The lack of poise is first shared with the brochure style menu, complete with photos. Large, refined menus are a thing of the past. Table cloths are minimal. Prices are high, serving sizes are small. I was left nonplussed. I would prefer to hold onto my memories of the past rather than to relate to the updated present. I don't really know what else to say.

You will regret it! Highest prices in the area paired with the lowest quality food. Save yourself some money and opt for a corner kebab store for cheaper prices, tastier food and normal customer service. They definitely wont charge you for sitting down and the meat wont be as dry as here. Ohh almost forget they also tried to scam me on payment at the end.

A "slightly better than the others" tourist restaurant offering something different. Spotless premises, attentive service, not bad food at reasonable prices. Fun for large groups, not really suitable for a romantic dinner for two.

I enjoyed a really lovely meal but a couple of things took away from the experience 1) small bottles of water for €5. It's out of step with the rest of the restaurant pricing and an unexpected expense. 2) wine we ordered was not available. Alternative was offered and we were told twice it was the same price. The wine was charged at €39 and the wine we had asked for was €26. We didn't bother discussing with staff, just paid and left without tipping which left us in a similar position financially but may have left our waiter with less, which is regrettable.

We have been coming to this Resturant for years and whilst the old menu was more extensive the new menu is fantastic quality and we were assured that when they have settled they will add to the menu with some of the other traditional favourites chicken pastilla/ garlic and lemon chicken wings etc. The new management is friendly and attentive, David in particular was fantastic and very happy to accommodate what we requested. A note for previous reviews… give this place a chance it has come through a difficult time with Covid and all the implications that followed but with time this will be super. We will definitely be back!

Looks good but they charge for the cuttleries and the food is small portion and overpriced. They do not have a drink menu but charge more for water than coke. They forgot / mixer up our orders, did not really make up for it. Looks good but non of us were satisfied we will not return.

A Taste of Lebanon in Marbella: A Five-Star Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you're looking for an exquisite culinary journey to the heart of Lebanon in Marbella, look no further than L'Oriental Restaurante Libanes. This hidden gem of a Lebanese restaurant exceeded all my expectations and left me absolutely delighted with its authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and outstanding service. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with a genuine smile and the aromatic scents of Middle Eastern spices wafting through the air. The restaurant's elegant decor, adorned with traditional Lebanese motifs and comfortable seating, created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Now let's talk about the food! Every dish I tried was an absolute masterpiece. The menu featured a wide array of Lebanese delicacies, and the chefs truly know their craft. The hummus, freshly prepared and bursting with flavor, was the best I've ever tasted. The creamy and velvety texture, combined with the perfect balance of tahini and lemon, made it a heavenly delight. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of herbs and spices. Each bite transported me to the streets of Beirut. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the mixed grill platter. The succulent and perfectly marinated shish kebabs, grilled to perfection, were incredibly juicy and flavorful. The accompanying side dishes of fragrant saffron rice, creamy garlic sauce, and tangy tabbouleh salad complemented the meats beautifully, creating a harmonious symphony of tastes on my palate. The service at L'Oriental Restaurante Libanes was impeccable. The staff members were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. They were more than happy to explain the menu, recommend dishes, and accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions. The hospitality and genuine warmth they extended throughout my dining experience truly added to the overall enjoyment. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the restaurant also boasts a carefully curated selection of Lebanese wines and refreshing beverages. The attentive waitstaff were more than happy to suggest the perfect pairing for each dish, enhancing the overall dining experience even further. To sum it up, L'Oriental Restaurante Libanes is an absolute treasure for Lebanese cuisine enthusiasts and anyone looking to embark on a culinary adventure. The attention to detail, authenticity of flavors, and the warm Lebanese hospitality make this restaurant a standout among its peers. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor to Marbella, treat yourself to an unforgettable experience at L'Oriental Restaurante Libanes. You won't be disappointed! Culinary Experience!

We were brought here friends who had great experiences before lockdown. It is now under new ownership/ management and our experience was terrible. Restaurant was fairly empty. Despite this, the service was dreadful. The waiting staff were pretty clueless and unattentive. Portions were very small in my view, especially for the starters. The food was very mediocre. Finally the prices were astronomical. About €13 for a small plate of humous as a starter!! We had to order 2 of some dishes as they were so small. That is ridiculously expensive, particularly when their website menu says €6 - and when challenged the manager said the website was 5 years out of date - seriously?? We were shocked at the final bill. €250 for 4 of us before service (which we decided was undeserved) for 12 starters, 1 main a bottle of house white and 2 baklava. This restaurant really needs to get its act together. For the moment, I'd say steer clear as you are likely to be disappointed.

Used to be truly great. New owners since CV19. 1/3 of the menu options and double to triple the prices. Very disappointed...

Food is authentic and very tasty, small but good wine selection, service has potential to improve as our order was not completely served but charged!

I am now 70 and have been lucky enough to have eaten in five continents but I have never walked out of a restaurant and refused to pay before. This nicely decorated restaurant took more than one hour to serve a starter which was frozen inside. Even the staff seemed embarrassed about the delay and the dangerously inedible food so didn't protest when we walked out without paying for a dreadful cava, ok glass of rosado and part of a bottle of wine.

I came to this place multiple times in the past years and it was always good. This time I was really disappointed by the bad service and the quality of food. Most disappointing was the waiter who was not able to bring an additional chair within 30 minutes ( I searched for one myself in the restaurant) and the kitchen was not able make one mokka / libanese coffee because kitchen was busy - according to waiter - what a bummer. From my point of view there are plenty of better food options in Marbella and the area...

This is the best looking restaurant around. The food is really good but a bit pricey. The sort of place for special occasions.

Very disappointed as we have been here before and found it ok. The restaurant is a lovely space and the welcome is warm. The food however is very poor. I had the mixed meat kebabs on the recommendation of the waiter. Dry and tasteless. When the waitress asked how was the food, I said that it was not good and she just went off in a humph. Why ask if you don't want to hear? My starter was dry and hard pastry cases containing nicely spiced minced lamb. My wife had the angler fish and prawn kebab which was freshly grilled and good simply emphasising the dried up fare they had given me. The house white was crisp and well balanced - a good choice.

Very enjoyable evening courtesy of the dancers and super friendly staff. Excellent food and very reasonable. A great night out, especially of you like being coaxed up on the stage to dance between bites!

A large restaurant off the A7, often booked for big birthday parties etc. - and I was indeed a guest of one that night. Usual & traditional style Lebanese food served in four courses on two tables for everybody to share. Authentic decor and reasonable service. Only problem was that the Bar in plain view in the Foyer as you enter is NOT a bar, apparently. But I ordered a G. & T. anyway & was surprised to get a bill for €20.10. I only had a €20 note on me, but the Manager was still clearly exercised about the missing 10 cents. The bill for the party was probably well into the thousands.

Amazing restaurant. Food and service are excellent. Totally recommended. Food is worth the price. Desserts are delicious. However, it is not the cheapest (water is quite expensive and you pay extra for the service). Very well achieve theme.
